The strike was unexpected, Fade being tossed backwards by the strike of lightning with nearly no compensation save the fact that both shadowsteel arm and soulspear were acting as grounders for the electricity which would otherwise have fried his organs within his skin. Giving a low growl, the man known as Gabriel would steel himself, the ten feet between he and his brother slowly coming to a halt.
There was something there...
Nexol's bloodline had never ceased its continuation, its presence as intrinsic to the Motosuwa line as Leon himself... it was this that manifested itself - surely there could be no other explanation.
Bring the soulspear to bear, Fade would hold his being into ultimate control.
He would take the malevolence from his opponent the only way he knew how.
"Mistake, Atrius. You cannot defeat me."

Raejib eyed Sparta and Kyoki carefully as he continued his walk, ~Lord Hiruga, we will talk soon enough. Just wait for me to get rid of the prying ears.~
As if out of the shadows themselves, Ixahrejem fell from the sky and landed before Sparta and Kyoki, creating a small crater before them. Small flames erupted on random areas of his skin before burning out just as fast as they appeared, but their heat remained. The radiation from the fires caused the air to shimmer like the surface of a clear lake, and the heat was enough to want you to turn your head. As Ixahrejem was the centre of their attention, Raejib was the shadow in the back of their minds. He quickly lunged forward, his beloved blade Ragnarøkkr in his hands by now, and ran the massive man known as Sparta through from the behind. Next, Raejib pulled his blade out and pivoted skilfully. His blade cut through the air at his command and found its way into the midsection of the witch and out the other side.
"The price of aiding an enemy of Arrius is death. You would be wise to remember that if you are sent to this world again." ------- Atrius's soul burned even hotter as he generated more and more lightening bolts to hurl at the man; the darkness gripped the grief-stricken man even tighter as the seconds rolled by.

Though Gabriel had been caught off-guard by the initial assault, this would not be so again - the Motosuwa Rune upon his right hand flashing once to augment reflexive capabilities. Soulspear would be brought in line with each of the advancing blasts, the shadowsteel within acting as a dissipater for each of the energy charges, causing them to fizzle into nothing more than sparks. Even as this occurred, feet would be brought beneath the Eye of Motosuwa, leading him into a charge toward Atrius, each lightning bolt anticipated as the ten feet between the two was crossed swiftly.
"Come now..."
Eyes flashed.
"Are you this naive?"

(Mmm. I'm to take over for Daikon <.<)
What is with everyone calling me Lord?
As Ixahrejem fell from above, Hiruga's crimson aura slowly seeps out of his body, creating massive pressure around his being that leaves him unaffected from the radiation Ixahrejem put forth. Instead, it churns and wavers, evaporating into the air.
He suddenly vanishes from the forefront, only to be seen in that same fraction of a second behind the colossal man and his companion, placing his palms on their backs as Raegib lunged forward with sword in hand. A smirk forms as he manipulates his aura to reach inside each's chest, feverishly applying pressure around their hearts, and causing them to burst. Blood spurts from their mouths and ferment as he side-stepped Raegib, watching as he first ran his sword through the man, then taking a quick step back as he pivoted his sword and ran it through the woman.

Raegib frowned. It was a pity. She was the most beautiful human ever. He hung his head then turned to Hiruga, "What news do you bring us, friend?" ----- Atrius leaped high into the air and vaulted over Gabriel. He rose his blade to strike, but suddenly stooped, "Gabriel...?" He moaned lightly then collapsed, all of the dark energy and ill will suddenly leaving his body...

Turning to the three followers, he repeats the warning Cyril insturcted him to say, mentioning that Lustré-Atra advises them to send their armies to the southern plains, the Arrian army should do the same and so should the Meteorokku.
"He mentioned an Azira among you," He glances to the woman and continues, "I would think you are her. Cyril says to go to his office and seek out the Book of Chaos, that when you do, he will return and instruct you further..."
A sudden warm feeling floods the corner of his mind, this soothing warmth only too familiar. His eyes widen slightly as he looks to the west, muttering a name under his breath as he turns his attention back to the group, "There's something I must look into.. Farewell."With that, the body Leon forced him into turns to dust, it's host having left..

Narrowing his eyes suspiciously, Gabriel took a half-step backwards, still keeping the Soulspear leveled at his brother, not willing to lower his guard even in the face of Atrius' plight. This was the nature of the Eye of Motosuwa - a life plagued by paranoia.
Giving a low growl, Fade would prod the man's form with the butt of the spear.
"Are you alive?"

Azira blinked and rose, Hiruga's message stirring her to action. Ciaran grabbed her arm, trying to get her to stay, but she shook him off and recited a spell to take her to the university.
Aindrea shook his head and pulled a scroll from his sleeve, its recitation formed a messenger-bird spell perched on his arm that he whispered the commands to. "To the Southern Plains, correct?"
To the bird, he spoke in another language entirely, that sounded a bit like an Arrian version of Gaelic. "Message. Brend, break camp and move south with all haste, to the plains. Fly the banners to be sure we are received as friend and not foe. End message." He swung his arm up, launching the magical construct off his arm. It arrowed off to the north faster than any flesh-and-feather bird.

Raegib nodded as Hiruga instructed him ,"Well then..." He closed his eyes for a moment and then a distant war horn sounded, "Our men are on their way." ---- Atrius moaned again and stayed there. Cuts appeared all over his body and black blood slowly flowed from the open wounds, "...ungh..."

Not quite knowing how to react, Gabriel repeated his efforts of tapping the body with his Soulspear, before looking down to his armor to find some manner of helping the man. Weapons, weapons, weapons - but no healing implement. Fade had always depended upon the fact that he would never be hit for his safety, rather than some cure-all medical item or artifact. He would be quite unable to assist Atrius, whatever his plight would be.
Glancing about, Gabriel would do the only thing he could think of at this point.
"HELP!"

Ciaran perked, the cry for help just barely making it to his ear. He was tired, but a call for help was something he couldn't just ignore. (Call it an attempt at redemption, call it stubbornness, call it stupidity, he just couldn't.) He took off in that direction, leaving Aindrea behind, sighing.
"Everyone seems prone to running off half-cocked."
---
Azira, meanwhile, was in Cyril's office, searching for the book Hiruga had told her to find. Finally locating it, she pulled it into her hands and dusted off the cover slightly.

Atrius moaned again, "Keep it down..." He struggled to his knees, "I need a priest...something is...taking over the city..." Atrius spat a bit of blood out; it was red unlike the blood that was coming out of his wounds, "The worse thing...about immortality is...it still hurts like hell..." ------------------
Cyril's form appeared behind Azira, smiling childishly, "Boo."
