But Swampert adds that by doubling it's already devastating weakness to grass. I don't know if that's worth it.

dark and steel were made so psyic pokemon would not be the dominite type they were in pokemon blue.

maybe, but Steel have a huge weakness ground, fighting, and fire. Dark also has to worry about bug and Fighting.
those are some painful weaknesses. that Fighting, fire, and ground really decimate them.
Dark needs to be comboed with something to combats the fighting and bug aspect. Like, Sableye and Spiritomb. (who, unfortunately, don't have quite the stats to take advantage of their..advantage)

Electric does tend to add some hefty points into speed. but if it's a fight for speed, the fastest pokemon is a psychic followed by a bug, the first electric pokemon is number 5 as Eletrode.

yes but because of steel and dark pokemon psycic can not be the dominate type. and the dual type of dark and ghost have low stats so they do not dominate. the true weakest type are bug types since they have 6-7 weakness.
