"True. And I'm sure if his brain wasn't being screwed with by that curse, Jaq would've been a perfectly decent demon." Van said before looking up at the mansion as they neared it. "Is it just me, or has this place gotten more ominous since we were last here?"

 

[M3Gnificent]

{XD Lol. I was reffering to Milly.}

"Definately more ominous." Mala agreed. "I do like what she's done with the curtains, though." she then joked as they approached the large mansion.

((Yeeeaahhh, I got that about two minutes after seeing your post. XD ))

"We can always redecorate at some point." Van joked with a grin as he looked about the door for a knocker or doorbell or something. "The door knockers are a tad cheesy though." he said as he used the door knocker shaped like a demon's head.

 

[M3Gnificent]

The door opened wide quite quickly, despite nobody really being there. "Well, I guess we're welcome here for the moment. Or it's a trapped and we're doomed to a long and arduous battle."

"If it is, I am not leaving the bed for a week when we get back." Van said as he cautiously slithered inside ahead of Mala, letting any possible traps get him first, not that it would really matter when they'd both wind up hurt.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"You and me both." Mala agreed as they went along, soon arriving at the main chamber.

Milly looked awfully cheerful, having not changed much in appearance and all, as she ran over to hug Mala and Van. "Ohmygoshit'sSOGOODTOSEEYOUBOTHAGAIN~"

Van just blinked in dumbfounded confusion. Between the terrified drunkards and ominous mansion lacking only a dramatic thunder strike, this was certainly not the welcome he was expecting.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Milly, why such a warm welcome? Not that I'm complaining, of course." Mala said, sharing Van's surprise.

"You're family that isn't completely useless lecherous trash." Milly said with a broad grin. Of course, the large bit of ire in her voice when saying 'useless lecherous trash' had clearly been aimed at Daemon - wherever he may be.

"....There were a bunch of drunks running around on our front lawn this morning screaming about some she-devil and her slave boy that broke down crying when your name came up in conversation. What's that all about...?" Van asked, still rather confused that this cheerful girl could be hellspawn.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Oh, that? Well, I saw all those peasants killing each other over nothing, so why not shut them up and get a nice reward out of it?" Milly replied ever so shamelessly. "And he's not my slave. He's just being kept out of trouble, so he's more of a prisoner than anything."

"Uh huh....Well then...." Van really didn't know what else to say on the matter. He was honestly expecting another demonic showdown instead of huggles and family reunions.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Well, I wish I could stay a little longer - but I've got to talk some sense into my idiot son. Last time he went unchecked, he destroyed three towns and pillaged every adult book store he could find." Milly said with a soft sigh, turning to head to the room in which Daemon was kept.

{Wouldn't it be funny if Larai ended up releasing Daemon?}

((History repeats itself. Yes. XD ))

"I guess we'll just be going then and leave you to it...." Van said pointing a thumb back at the entrance.

{This could be a sort of reoccuring theme. Larai occasionally feels mercy in her heart, only to have her kindness bite her in the a** or to help one who has previously wronged her.}

"Okay. It was nice seeing you both, though~" Milly said in delight before leaving the main chamber.

Larai was sneaking towards the back entrance of a very large and ominous mansion. She could practically smell adventure and treasure in the air! Or was it just war, blood, and sex? Either way, she snuck in through a window and began sneaking through the shadows - looking for an area of intrigue. Thank goodness she left Anise with Kai!

"Well. That went better than I thought it would." Van said, still dumbfounded as he head back toward the front door.
