Peasants.
Ranuu would never consider himself stuck-up or self-centered, but walking through any busy-city street was more telling than anyone could imagine. Citizens dressed as skeletons, or else in the 'starter sets' that the Gaian government gave out to all the new residents, seemed to pride themselves in their inexperience at life. It was getting harder and harder to find an intelligent conversation.
Ranuu had been a resident of Durem when he'd first moved to Gaia, but was now a resident of Isle del Gambino (only because the former had filled with the aforementioned 'noobs' and the latter was restricted to the more rich and experienced Gaians). That didn't mean he didn't come around and visit other cities, though.
Today, he was dressed in one of his favorite outfits. A large sun-hat of Asian influence not only shaded his eyes from the sun, but allowed him to peer at his surroundings without a sure counter-spy. The large fire-flower robe gave him a controlled temperature, remaining cool during the summer but warming him during the winter. Under the robe, one of his favorite sets.
And, of course, Ranuu wouldn't go anywhere without a weapon. The Ancient Katana, handed down to him from his grandfather, hung in its sheath at his waist, ready to be pulled out at a moment's notice.
"You see anything yet, Brick?" the warrior muttered this under his breath. Brick, funny as the name might seem to some, was a marshmallow snowman -one of the rarer pets, in that it was inconvenient to spend so much on such a small and insignificant thing- that perched on his sun-hat.
He -or she; Ranuu never bothered to ask- gave out a squeak, telling its master that it had yet to spot anything threatening. That was the largest positive to having a marshmallow snowman. Nobody ever knew how smart they became. While it seemed that they were unpractical fillers of spare space, the snowmen could learn commands and would spy on others easily, due to their small size.
"Bah..." came the response. Maybe they're just not out today...
