The young Eachann pranced into the field. He had snuck away from Moema and was happy for now. The soquili he had met last night was rude and he was ready for some fun. He saw Nioka with his mother. They hadn't really met, but he pranced right up to them anyways. "Hello!!"  

[Kireiryuu]

As the foal came towards them, Resi giggled slightly and nudged her son. He hasn't met any other foals and now's a chance to meet some others. "Go and play with the new foal, Nioka." And with that, she trotted some distance away to keep an eye on her son but to let him have some space.

At the nudge, Nioka turned to glance at the newcomer. Another foal, just like him! Eyes got wide before he flicked his tail, "Hi!" As his mother had left him all by himself, he wasn't sure what to do anymore but decided to introduce himself, "I'm Nioka." He thought it was only the two of them but he spotted another some distance away. He tossed his head and neighed, "Hi!"

'Wow two foals!' Eachann though. He pranced in place with a goofy grin on his face. "Hi Nioka and Vevina! I'm Eachann!" He was so happy to meet new soquilis. Moema never took him anywhere so he was always bored.

Golden eyes perked up as Vevina introduced herself. Nioka wagged his tail before turning to Eachann, "Hi!" This was exciting, he could make two new friends. Blinking slightly at Vevina's question, he shook his head, "I'm not sick...this is my coat color."

Back from Hiatus. ^^

Little Eagle went on a journey that involved one of her dreams and so, to account for her time away, both Resi and Nioka accompanied her on her journey. After finishing Little Eagle's quest, they have returned home and to find a newcomer as well!

The seasons have come and gone, it's starting to get a bit colder; a signal that fall was in full bloom. Crimson eyes gazed over the landscape as Resi flicked her tail from side to side. Fully bonded with her indian caretaker, she even lets Little Eagle ride on her for most of the time. Drifting off from her friends from lack of interaction, this black widow mare has been alone with her son for most of the time. Nickering to her green son, Resi called him over. "Nioka, come here!"

Golden eyes lifted slightly as they settled on his mother. With a sly grin, the stallion carefully pranced his way to his mother. His long tail flicked against his mother's side before Nioka nuzzled her affectionately. "Yes mother? Is there something that you wanted?"

Returning the nuzzle her son offered her, Resi nodded her head, "Actually there is. I've noticed there are some sweet berries close by and I think Little Eagle would like some. Let's go and pick her some!" And with that, she turned and headed off towards the bush with the berries and her son trailing along.

Enjoying the warm sun on her face, Little Eagle brushed back some stray hair with her hand as her green eyes looked around. It was too quiet, too quiet because Resi and Nioka weren't making a lot of rucus. Smiling to herself, she was glad of being able to care for both of them. It was a blessing to have company around when she was lonely. Putting two fingers to her mouth, she blew and a sharp whistle was produced. Hopefully it'd travel far enough for both Resi and Nioka to hear. She didn't want them wandering too far off on their own when there could be predators or white men near that could cause harm.

With a playful n** of the tail, Resi whickered happily as she got her son! She had caught him unaware and this made her quite happy to say the least. Her crimson eyes danced with happiness as she pranced around her son, "I've got you! I've got you!" she spoke in an almost sing-sung voice. And then, as she was making another turn around her son did she hear a faint whistle that seemed strangely familiar. Tilting her head, she stopped. "That sounds like...Little Eagle!" Nudging her son, "Come on Nioka, let's go!"

Just as he turned his head to look at a passing bird, Nioka felt a sharp n** at his tail. Ears flatten against his head slightly as he impatiently flicked his long tail at his mother. "Mom!" He cried sharply, trying to look like he was scolding her when really, he was playfully teasing her. His mind was trying to think of ways to get her back before he too heard the faint whistle, though he wasn't as familiar with Little Eagle as his mother was and thus, was clueless to what it meant. Just as he was about to attempt his trick, his mother turned and had started to leave without him! Not wanting to be left behind, he whinnied shrilly and loped after his mother, "Mom! Wait for me!"

At her son's response, Resi flicked her tail and kicked up her back hooves as a challenge. She'd race him back to see who'd get there first. Whinnying, she quickened her pace and charged ahead of him. "I'll beat you there, Nioka." The scenery around her started to blur together as she felt the wind through her hair.

Finally noticing his mother's challenge, Nioka neighed in response and sped up after his mother. There was no way he'd let her beat him another time! He's lost too many times to his mother...why does she have to be so fast, he fumed silently. His long tail flew behind like like a long banner in the wind as he replied, "I don't think so Mom! Not this time!" His long strides ate up the ground as he ws slowly, but surely catching up to his mother. He was determined, more determined than before on beating his mom. He had to prove to himself that he was fast. Getting closer and closer to where their teepee was located, it would only be a matter of time before the race was over.

A breeze blew the stray hairs around her face as Little Eagle had her hands clasped together. It was a lovely day, little clouds in the sky and the sun was full. Turning around to place some branches in the small fire, it was getting a bit chillier with each passing day. It didn't take long for the sounds of thundering hooves to reach her ears as she knew both Nioka and Resi were fast on their way. Picking up a small pouch with something special inside, she turned and spotted both mare and stallion in the distance rapidly approaching. A smile tugged the corner of her mouth, it looked like another race between mother and son because they both looked quite happy but determined. Raising one hand, she waved to the two of them as a signal of where she was so that she didn't get trampled.

Crimson eyes turned back and noticed her son slowly inching his way closer and closer to her. Resi smiled and kicked back her hooves. Provoking her son some more, she pushed herself a little harder as she spotted Little Eagle not too far away waving her hand. Nickering back in response, it was good to see her human once again. Though, right now would probably be a good time to let her son win and so, she slowly slowed down a bit, pretending that she was tiring by adding some laborous breaths. It would be alright to let her son feel good about himself every once in a while.
