i have been busy, however i will update this starting... Now!

I will be studying.
Genesis 3:1-4:26
Matthew 2:13-3:6
Psalm 2:1 - 12
Proverbs 1:7 - 9

I don't like that Cain and Able story.
It's sad. ;_;

Also i think that God was a bit harsh with his punishments... I'm not saying that what Adam and Eve did was right but dang, What God did was harsh.

Also with the whole snake thing, when God took away it's legs.
Ok one snake deceived Eve, and it wasn't really even a snake it was the devil in disguise. So he is going to punish all of the other snakes because of that? Again harsh.

If he is a God of love then why is he so rough with his punishments?

It's the same reasons why your parents give out harsh punishments to you. God is our Heavenly Father. He disciplines those He loves. There is a verse in the Bible that says some thing not to be offended if God reprimands you or some thing like. (I probably just butchered the verse). There is also another one that talks about if you love your kids discipline them.

As to Cain and Abel, Cain deserved what he got because he murdered his brother out of jealousy. Punishments from God are always given according to the offense. They are just and they are right, even if we do not agree with them.

You can tickle me pink, orange, red, or blue, but not grey

Actually Cain deserved a LOT worse but the Lord had mercy on him (because that is just how amazing and loving he is) and gave him the mark to protect him while still banishing him to the wilderness. But he could have just sent him down to the burning fiery pits of hell, instead he gave him another chance. Just like he always gives us another chance.

Because grey will not do.

I feel like doing another study today.
I was watching a special about Nostradamus and the whole 2012 fiasco.
It scared me so I'll just turn to God now.

Studying...
Genesis 8:1-10:32
Matthew 4:12-25
Psalm 4:1-8
Proverbs 11:1-13:4

With reading this I feel that God has told me that this whole world ending in 2012 is a lie.
It says clearly that God will never destroy the world or living things again.

Just as Shadows said, no one knows the day nor hour that Christ will return. Now the Earth at some point will be "ended", but by Christ to make way for the New Jerusalem. Some people believe that because in this verse "And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth." the Lord specifically says the flood waters will never destroy the Earth, it does not mean that he won't hesitate to use other means of doing it, most commonly thought to be fire. Whether there is a verse to support that or not, I feel my brain aching to say yes but I'm really honestly not sure.

Because grey will not do.

True. I was just pointing out the reasons why God punishes us. The Lord has mercy on all of us because He loves us and the demands of justice have been satisfied by His Atonement.

#1. Sinners have no place with the Godly.
So what about that once saved always saved stuff?
What if you get saved and you turn away, are you still going to Heaven?

I like discussion questions. It's been a while, so forgive me if I'm a little rusty.

Quote:
For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES. 28Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30For we know Him who said, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY.” And again, “THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE.” 31It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Hebrews 10:26-31

Take God at His word, He doesn't lie to you.

Quote:
#2. And remember where it says that God created the animals and stuff, what about caveman and dinosaurs?

Quote:
1 Corinthians 1:16
For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him

If all really means all, then He created dinosaurs and cavemen too. So what if other people claim otherwise? I could care less, because my Lord and Master has spoken. Nothing else really matters after that.

Quote:
#3. If he is a God of love then why is he so rough with his punishments?

Because we have sinned against an eternal HOLY God who came down Himself and was brutally tortured and murdered on an ancient torture device. He did this because we were so utterly depraved and sinful that no other way existed for us to be reconciled to Him. After this is done, we spit upon the face of His glorious Son who bore the wrath of the Father upon His shoulders. Haven't you read in Isaiah that "It pleased Him (the Father) to crush Him (the Son.)?
Furthermore, we pollute the world with these horribly disgusting heresies that lead millions upon millions of people straight into the depths of Hell. We deserve every bit of wrath He gives us, and more. We deserve the holy hatred of God, not His grace, and we lead people He desires into Hell while telling them we have "led them to Christ." We should fall on our knees and thank God that He even lets us continue to breathe.

Quote:
#4. God created the Earth but what about the other planets and universes?

Why not? They show His glory, much like the moon reflects the sun's light.

Quote:
#5. When God told Abraham to circumcise his son so he would be a part of the covenant. Why do others do it? Do we have to do that? I mean if God wanted it done then why didn't he make us that way so we wouldn't have to do it?

Because they were commanded to do so, as a sign that they were part of the covenant that was being established.
They do it today for medical reasons. As far as religion goes, they do it because they fail to realize that the old covenant no longer applies and will not being about salvation. God didn't want it done because He was displeased with how we look physically. The problem is how we are spiritually.

#6. Wait doesn't God say that incest is wrong?
Laban and Jacob are related and Laban gave both of his daughters to Jacob.
He married Leah and well he messed around with Rachel.
What is up with that?

I'd debate on whether or not the family lines were far enough removed for this to not be considered incest, but I'm not aware of a set standard for that. If I remember right, Jacob and Laban were distant cousins of a sort with the relation coming from Abraham's family. (Anyone, please feel to correct me.) But the thing to remember is that the whole thing could have been sin, but used by God nonetheless. Also, he did marry Rachael, who gave birth to one of his favored sons.

However, as near as I am able to tell, the Old Testament does not forbid two sisters marrying the same man.

Quote:
#7. I thought the Bible said that piercing your body was wrong. If that is so then why did Rebekah have a nose ring?

Rebekah is more than capable of sin. Christians aren't forbidden from having piercings, either. You are probably thinking of

Leviticus 19:28 ESV
You shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo yourselves: I am the Lord.

which does not forbid piercings, only cuts and tattoos in honor of the dead.

To make it even more interesting, there is a passage in Exodus that commands a master to "bore a hole in the hear" of his slave. Exodus 21:6.

Quote:
#8. So... They were talking about working on the Sabbath... Is it a sin to do stuff on Sunday?

The Sabbath was on Saturday, and Christians are not under obligation to keep the Sabbath. Scriptures tell us that the Sabbath was made for man.

Quote:
#9. How do you speak against the holy Spirit? Is it like saying "GD the Holy Spirit?"
Wait what is the Holy Spirit? Where did it come from?

The Holy Spirit is the often ignored / downplayed third facet of the Trinity. It is God's Spirit, the Counselor and Comforter sent to us after the Son returned to sit at the right hand of the Father.

Blasphemy against the Spirit is a very serious offense, and not to be taken lightly. As near as I am able to determine from the context of the scriptures this sin is mentioned, it is giving the enemy credit for works of the Spirit. After all, that's what the Pharisees did after Jesus performed that miracle.

So Christians are no longer men? And we still have to keep the Sabbath day, we just don't keep on Saturdays. It was moved to Sunday because of Christ's resurrection being on the first day of the week, so that is why we have the Sabbath on the first day of the week now. Christ said the sabbath was made for man and that He was Lord of the Sabbath. That means, I created the Sabbath for you, so you keep it!

I agree with VK Fox. If you're going to say that the Sabbath mus be kept, explain why Jesus healed those in need on the sabbath. People weren't supposed to do any work on the sabbath yet Jesus went around healing people. I think the Sabbath is included in the list of things that don't apply to us anymore, like requirement for circumcision or stoning someone when someone commit adultery.
