When she was complimented, Win blushed even more uncontrollably. Needless to say, she kept her back turned from Nicholas though she answered fiercely to him, "Without a rival? Then, it's the next step - seizing full control over the land" Again, it was a bluff. Secretly, she also enjoyed having a rival to outdo every single day. She then nodded her head at his comment about killing humans but she turned to look at him when he mentioned the witch's deal. At first, she retained an alert look, saying, "That..." before she contorted her face into a scowl and sighed. She began to explain, "A witch's deal only applies to humans because they're the weakest species. It is followed by all witches regardless of race or witchcraft branch. Now, the deal is the same for all branches - irrefutable support of and coming to the aid of the human who saved the witch in question... Much like..." The aura around her began to grow eerie and gloomy at the same time as though a ghost had passed through the bedroom. She continued, "...becoming a summon"

"So... because I helped you since I'm "weaker", you are now in a way a summon to me? What if I refuse?" He then asked, just wanting to know since he was curious.

"That... Well, the first witches were from magical races. They didn't think humans like the two of us could control magic as well and since we're so mortal, puny, weak, easily manipulated and deceived, they made the deal to apply to humans only. So technically, if I saved a fellow witch, that witch, I can bind to myself to call whenever I wish" She frowned, knowing the joke's on her now but she continued, "No. Actually, witches can't refuse if you call but if you refuse to call for help, then that's basically it. You could hold the deal until you die without calling for help but a witch is bound to you until your death... But what with us humans now that can extend our lifetimes with the use of magic..." She sighed and shuddered at the thought of it being like some kind of one-sided marriage. She tossed a sea shell towards Nicholas and said, "That's your end of the contract then. Just whisper my name in the shell and I will come. Throw it if you wish... Keep it if you wish. It's your choice" She looked pretty much down at the thought of it all. ((OOC: ))

Nicholas listened with all ears, intrigued by the whole idea of the deal. He took the shell, seeing how much it shot down her spirits. "Cheer up. Just be happy to know your alive healing well." He said, putting something on the side of her table. "Here's my own version of the deal. Your in no condition of going anywhere right now so if you need anything, just ring the bell and one of my shadow wolves will come to see what you need. They'll then give me the message and I can help. Even if I in a way own you, it doesn't mean I'm gonna abuse the power. Your my rival over everything and the battle has not yet been finished."

Win flared up with what the wizard said. "Own me? Look, buster! I'll help you when you need it. That's the term of the contract but in no way will I follow your every command! Help is all the deal provides - not slavery or ownership!" She hissed, really fearing the idea of being a slave to another person's whims. ((OOC: ))

"I said only sort of own you, meaning I don't actually own you but can call you up like one of my summons, which I own. And I never said you were gonna follow every command either! Jumping to conclusions much? Since when would a rival follow their own rivals every command?" He said, not angry, but just slightly amused by how hard she's taking it. "Your not a slave, I don't own you in any way, but your still in a bad condition, despite all the energy you have already. So just try to relax. I don't want you to somehow hurt yourself or anything." He said and then got up and left to finally go finish breakfast.

The proud witch grit her teeth and said, "Tsk. Well, don't say that. I never want to hear the word 'own' pass your lips" She was probably making sure or acting out of fear but unconsciously, lightning and shadow were seeping out of the necklace with Win's emotions controlling them. Static charges sparked all around her and the shadow seemed to form an intimidating aura around its master. "Gah! Let me borrow some magic-repellent cloth!" It was becoming apparent why that was necessary since the sparks all around Win were spreading in direction and going out of control. It was 'weak' compared to the capabilities of her broom but Win always took out her anger on things using magic and normally, she'd use a wall or magic-repellent items to take her anger out on since those won't be easily destroyed by the level of her spells.

Nicholas reacted immediately, not having to be told twice to get the magic cloth. He was pretty much annoyed now with everything interrupting him from just finishing breakfast, but he sighed and tossed it to Win, stopping the sparks. "Control your emotions! I don't want sparks lighting anything in the house and burn it down!" He said, pretty much having enough of what was going on and just left, not listening to anything she said. He tried being nice only to be lashed at with words and her magic, which bothered him. He knew yea, she was his rival so bitterness was expected, but he saved her bloody life! At lest some respect would have been nice! He just shook his head and moved on to the kitchen, working on breakfast.
The puppy who first came in the room earlier was back, jumping onto her bed and laying on her chest, looking at her with cute puppy eyes.

Win was still in the flip side of her bipolar behavior, letting the pendant drain some magic to a point that it doesn't just seep with a sudden change of heart. It would be similar to drinking from a full glass so you could carry it wherever you want without spill. She wrapped her self in the cloth and thought about the potions that had complete ingredients ready back at home. Then again, it was lonely being alone. Maybe that's why she sort of liked to 'bully' Nicholas sometimes. She sighed, then the puppy came. She ran her fingers through her hair and sat up, saying to the puppy while rubbing its head fondly, "You know? You're cute. But your master is a *****" Apologizing later would probably be good though it would strike her pride a bit. Then again, Nicholas wouldn't be as easy to kill as the others so that couldn't be a way to get around it.

The puppy gave a smile as she started to pet her head, looking up at Win. "Master isn't like that, he's just frustrated that's all." The puppy said in human tongue, granted the ability to talk. "He just saved you and he's already be yelled out and complained to. " She said. "He actually really nice and the fact that he actually saved you shows how nice he is. Any normal rival would probably take the victory and would have left you it to day." She said. rolling over onto her stomach for a belly rub.

Win shrugged, realizing it could talk as she rubbed the back of its ears. "And his being nice is probably what bothers me. I doubt I'd have saved him had it been the other way around... And yet he's so nice! I just wanna strangle him!" She admitted, giving the puppy a belly rub.

The puppy looked at Win, happy that she was rubbing its belly. "Why do you not like Master's kindness? It's a great virtue to have and because of that kindness he saved your life." The puppy said to her. "I don't think your telling the truth either. I can tell you would have saved him too if he needed to be rescued like you were." The puppy said with a giggle.

Win froze when the puppy hit right at the point. She looked a little startled as a blush became imminent on her face. She then drew down her eyelids, looking quite sad before explaining to the puppy, "The witch's clan... The clan I grew up in... Takes no mercy on witches... Or any other creatures for that manner. Eventually... I ran away. It wasn't that I didn't like my life there... It's just that... I don't know. I've always thought I didn't belong. So I journeyed till I reached this fertile land and tried to take it for myself. Then this master of yours shows up and appears to be nice to someone who's basically just trying to kill him. And ultimately, he's the only one that stands between me and my goal. Even so, his behavior is really peculiar" Win frowned.

"Master is just a very nice person. He doesn't want others to die, witch or not. That's why he always fights you, to protect the weaker humans. Not only that he want to keep the land so the animals and summons he owns can frolic freely." The puppy said, looking at her with a puppy smile. "He also likes challenging you. Your an amazing witch. Your strong and Master respects that about you." The puppy then said, moving up a little.
