> Shin nodded. He was greatly relieved that they let it drop. He should not have said it. That had been wrong of him. His eyes left the picture to look at the two. Still looking happy. He beamed greatly when Tanna said that he could have the drawing. He reached out, then pulled his hand back. "You should keep it... I'll just lose it". He did not want to take the chance of his mother finding it. She would be more then displeased at the sight if that. But. He truly did want it. He knew if he looked in the mirror. He would never she what she had seen.

Tassy just rolled her eyes as Zen tried to make up a reason not to take his picture. "You should take it because if Tassy keeps it it's just going to end up in her ever growing pile of random portraits. And best believe that since you're now her favorite model she'll have her own pile dedicated to you." she grinned and winked before laughing at the blush Tanna was sporting. Her twin was just a tiny bit mortified that her secret had just been blurted out but it was true: if she kept it she probably wouldn't even get around to framing it or cherishing it like the other man would. So she merely shrugged and giggled with a nod. "I hate to admit it but she's right. With all the other portraits, work or not, this one would get lost in the system and I don't want that. So you take, for a reminder of how you truly look and not of how you think you do." Without another word the artist gently took it out her sketchbook and rolled it in an extra ribbon she carried in her bag and placed it in Zen's hand. "Besides, I'll have dozens more portraits of you if I've got anything to say about it!" Tanna laughed.

> Shin was hesitant. However when he learned it would just be lost, he reached out and, once it was rapped he took it. His eyes shining. He smiled. He was willing to take the hurt if his mother found it. Then, he turned to stare at them. "Wha...you want to see me again?" He asked, blushing. He was so surprised. But, he smiled. He wanted to see them again as well. He liked their personalities and... They were very pretty.

This time both girls rolled their eyes but grinned at their new oblivious friend. "Of course we want to see you again. You're nice, courteous, an excellent model," "Knew she was gonna throw that one in there." Tassy merely looked innocent as her twin mockingly glared at her for her words. "Plus you could come by the flat and listen to my music! Always need an outside party." "Should've known that would be thrown in." Tanna was the one to try and look innocent as her sister threw the glares.

> Shin was flabbergasted. He had never been asked to be a friend. People ran away. But. Part of him wondered if they would still be his friend if they knew he was lying to them. But. He was to scared to tell them he truth. "I would love to model for you and listen to the music..I never really get to hear music". He said. He shot them another large smile. "I also never get to parties...well I went to a ball once when I was seven". He said. His magic shook for a second and his glamor flashed. His hair still covered most of his face. But... His nose and part of his left cheek.

The twins grinned happily as Zen agreed to their terms of friendship and also notched even more questions onto their internal list of ones to ask after getting to know him better. When they were just about to ask if he'd like to visit the nearby cafe a flash of...something went off that caused a disturbance on his nose and part of his cheek. It seemed to return to normal but Tanna was certain she had seem deep long scars or gashes. Of course, Tassy was the one to voice their questions. "What the heck was that?!"

"I got attacked my a wolf pack...when I was Seven....". He said. His hands gripping his jacket. His heart fell. There was no way Tanna would still like him. She had seen how ugly he was.

Tassy and Tanna shared a quick look as Zen mentioned a glamour, why would he wear one to begin with? Was he hiding from someone? When he finally gave an explanation the both took in a quick breath of horror at the pain that young boy must have felt. Both brains went into overdrive and they had to assume that his scars and gashes must have been caused by the attack but that just opened up a whole new door full of questions. Tanna was, again, the one to notice his body language and how he looked like he would leave any second and couldn't allow that. So she approached him slowly before bending slightly to hug him. This poor boy... she thought. Yet again, Tassy was the one to voice the obvious question. "Is that why you don't look at yourself in the mirror? Because of your scars?" She couldn't believe that scars-no matter how big or bold-would completely kill someone of their self esteem so quickly.

> Shin was moving, seeing their faces and assuming that it was bad. He was filled with shame and sadness. Then, quite unexpectedly, Tanna hugged him. He felt a warm feeling shoot through him along with slight pain. He had not been hugged by a woman sense he cod remember. Infact, he only remembered his younger brother hugging him. Tassas question made him start. She sounded like she was surprised. "Yes. I look like a freak. Someone as ugly as me should not subject anyone to my scars. Even my self.". He had thrown out all his mirrors when he was 10. They way he spoke about his scars held the same tone a child's voice held when they were just repeating what they heard. He flashed another smile. He was so nervous, not used to this much attention upon himself.

Tassy's eyes widened at Zen's harsh words and Tanna actually stifled a shudder to keep herself from leaking a tear at his lack of self worth. Soon the other twin was sharing in the hug giving him all their warmth and friendship they could lavish on a person in public. We don't mind. We don't think you're a freak. they tried to convey to their friend. "You're not a freak" "and you're not ugly. Move that hair out your face and get a bit of sunshine and you'll have the girlies knocking down your door." Tassy finished for her sister with a wide grin.

> Shin could not understand their strong feelings. But, they made him feel warm. He loved this warm feeling. But. He shook his head. He was not moving his hair and he knew, if he removed this glamor. It would be bad. "I..can't keep this glamor up for long. My hair... Has to stay and...the sun. It's not at my house". His house was all dark. He did not comment about the freak thing. He truly believed that he was a freak and was surprised these girls were banging on his theoretical door. He started grinning again. He hoped that they hugged him again. Hugs. He liked them. He really did. His bad feelings left.

The girls just rolled their eyes again at Zen's excuses but at least he was smiling again. They pulled back with equal smiles on their faces while thinking the same thing: we'll give you another few weeks, then we'll put it out of you. Tanna looked down at her watch and saw that it was about time for lunch before hearing Tassy's stomach growl right on time. "Zen, would you like to come to lunch with us?" "Yeah! You could be our gentleman friend and escort his two pretty lady friends." The music inclined twin said with a wry grin.

The twins clapped happily and were debating to any number of the restaurants they had passed when Zen suddenly collapsed grasping his leg. "Oh gods! What's wrong?" "Are you alright? Is it your leg?" Both sister questioned the boy at the same time before realizing he might now understand their babbling and quickly stopped. "We need to get him somewhere private so we can figure out what's wrong." the sensible Tanna replied.

> Shin groaned, forcing himself up. He was shaking. His leg was in so much pain. He was even paler. He shook his head. "Don't fuss. It..will...pass. Just...stood still to long..He said through gritted teeth. He calmed after a moment he then sighed, smiling again. "See. Better...lets go...". He said. His leg was shaking bad. But his smile was back. He was used to this pain. His leg would feel normal soon.
