Sir Nicolas followed Lucia as she made her way about her business. And he did so because he could. It wasn't like she could stop him. He found it amusing that she thought herself above him. While the other royal family members had the royal guard to protect them, Unmei only had Nicolas. It wasn't that Unmei was any less important. It was that Nicolas was more dangerous than the rest of the royal guard put together, at least in the eyes of Prince Unmei. Many had laughed at the old man for the second prince's opinion of him for he looked harmless and usually was peaceful. He seemed to have below average magical potential and despite every thing about his staff pointing to it being an amplifier of his magical ability, the consensus among the royal guard was that the old man couldn't defend himself, let alone the prince. Only Unmei took his seriously, which wasn't really a bad thing. Everyone else underestimated him. The reason why Prince Unmei only had the old knight as his bodyguard, is that the prince's opinion was actually the truth. "Keep an open mind Lucia. It will serve you well."

Lucia had grabbed a parchment of paper and a quill as she went down the list of the weapons currently displayed for those who train. She would check this whenever training was done or men were taking a break. If a weapon was missing then she would have to track it down and make sure no one was a traitor or going rouge to try and assassinate the King of Princes's. That had happened once while she was here but it hasn't happened for two years but she would always keep check. Glancing over at Nicolas she continued going down the list. Sighing slightly she asked, "And what is it that is making me closed minded Nicolas?" Now that they were alone she figured she would address him by his name rather than with a Sir. She wasn't as uptight as she acted when around the royal family or other guards. There was a reason why she acted strict and cold hearted. It was the only way she could gain respect from these stupid men.

Lucia was well aware that Nicolas had his own problems because of his age not many gave him much respect either. That was one of the reasons why Lucia never really paid much mind to Nicolas. She never bossed him around or gave him orders because she was not one to underestimate people. She knew there was more to him anyway but she never talked to him about anything. She kept out of his business despite him bothering her like this.

Once done with the list she set it down, glad that there was nothing missing. Turning to face Nicolas she awaited his answer. She always allowed people to speak their mind and never spoke until it was her turn to speak.

Kaimei nodded to Lucia as he walked down the path into the city waiting for his Brothers answer

"There Is a good reason for Second Prince Unmei's opinion of me. The fact is I earned opinion. Not many know this fact. Even the king doesn't know this," Nicolas said slowly and evenly. "Everyone thinks my staff is an enhancer. The truth is quite the reverse." Nicolas then sighed and closed his eyes. He had been wanting to say this for a number of years to a great many people, and he knew that Lucia was trustworthy, so he had chosen to tell her. "Let the rest of the guard believe what they wish. They're much happier not knowing."

Removing the armor from her arms she set them down as well as she listened to Nicholas. Looking at him after he finished what he had to say she replied, "You may hold much respect for me Nicolas, but you would be surprised how much more intelligent and or skilled I am. Not once did I think that staff of yours enhanced your powers. The person who raised me was a very skilled man...he knew things not many did and he was sure to teach me everything including things from other lands, things our King does not know of. I know of many magics and the magic emitting off of your staff is not something normally sensed from an object that enhances any sort of power. Granted not many people can distinguish magic so easily so it took a bit of time for me to finally sense that small amount of emission. Either way I kept such information to myself because that is your business. I for one did not question the prince's choice."

After pausing for a moment and taking off what armor she had left a ever so small smile cracked on her face, "Whatever truths you decide to cloud with white lies is your choice, so long as it brings no harm to the royal family then I have no problem at all." As she finished that statement the new recruited men came in to train under her supervision.

"Will you stick around and watch? If not then it's best you head off now before it gets a little chaotic in here," Turning her attention to the young men she had them form a line and had them fall into attention and began to explain to them what they will be doing today which was just close combat and with no weapons.

"No. I am still training you, why would I want to watch a student teaching other students?" Nicolas said rather calmly before turning and deciding to leave. Then he stopped and said, "I don't respect you because You haven't earned it young lady. To me your rank means about as much as horse dung. Your problem is that you act like you are entitled to respect based on military rank. You worked your way up through military actions and everyone knows it. I was actually Chosen and Knighted by the Second Prince Unmei. That means I outrank you young lady. You lead the royal guard. I as a royal knight hand picked by one of the princes and allowed to live in the castle, I lead you. Don't forget that." And then he walked away. He'd finally said it. Hopefully his words would get through and she'd understand why she couldn't get his respect. He walked down the hall and out of sight.

Ren walked briskly, his long legs were graceful as he did. He bowed his head to the guards who saluted him, a large grin on his face. He glanced at his brother. "This is really just a ploy to get out of the castle, right? Because I'm a bit nervous," he muttered, scratching the back of his head. "Let's go around town to calm my nerves," he said, his blue eyes looking ahead.

Eureka brushed some hair out of her face and behind her ear, staring at the dragon from the middle of the deck. It had seemingly gotten closer to the ship, which had made her nervous, if only a little bit. The winds were mighty up here, and whipped her hair and the hem of her dress around. It felt refreshing, but frightening at the same time. She gave a shaky breath, before a man slammed the door open onto the deck. He ran out, shouting some orders. Eureka turned her head, startled a little. Her orc guard was alarmed by then. Then a heavy shudder wreaked the ship.

The shuddering of the airship became more apparent, it seemed. Eureka lost her balance and fell, the ship slightly veering off to the right. Many more yells and shouting came from beneath the deck, and then the engine stopped.
Despite the silence of the engine, the yelling and shouting increased. Engineers worked quickly to get it running again, lest the airship make a complete landing in the form of a crash.

The airship began to tilt and people began to slide around. Eureka slid forward, back towards the quarter deck, where the deck entrance was. She hit the wall with her feet and managed to get up, hugging the wall as she looked up, the sky falling with her.

Unmei saw the airship going down and in an instant he dove. He dove through the air and then bracing himself he came up under the ship and using his strong back began to push it back up. Those inside would feel a sudden stop and feel the air ship level out as he attempted tp carry it. He flapped his mighty wings as hard as he could with the decreased room to flap them, and doing his best; he carried the ship on his back as he flew. It was hard work, and he didn't know how long he'd be able to stay in the air with the ship on his back, but he had to try, He wasn't about to let them die. He Roared as loud and powerfully as he could in an attempt to get an adrenaline rush and bring more blood to his wing muscles so as to help him stay aloft and thusly keep the airship from crashing.

( Edit. )

Far to the north, and much closer to the ground, the Divendale caravan looked on in growing concern and curiosity. Many tried to yell out helpful charms or enchantments, but the distance was far too great. Eventually, after watching wide-eyed as a dragon landed the ship, the royal carriages moved their way closer to the kingdom. When they would enter, it would be through the town. The curtains of the princess' carriage were opened wide in preparation, as if to get ready show her off to the town. Fairies and elves were proud, beautiful folk. Of course they would want the girl flaunted.

It was still going to be a whole before the princess would enter the walls of the kingdom. In this time, Sereda grew to be far more rigid in her seat. Not only that, but the girl also tried hard to imagine the appearances and personalities of the princes. She knew only brief gossip from her close kin, but none of it could be confirmed or denied. She supposed she would have to find out once she met them, but the suspense of it was slowly grasping her. Hope for a pleasant husband was the only thing that pulled a smile onto her face.

(Sorry work this weekend and got really sick.)

The dark hair and blue eyed vixen was throwing a tantrum at the outfit the king and queen had picked out for her. She had begun the tantrum with yelling but as the girls picked to help dress her didn't give in, they had been given special orders, and continued to put the awful mound of clothes onto the girl she went into attack mode, having no interest what so ever in wearing the garish, heavily jeweled, and scantily clad clothing. Especially since she had no interest in even marrying one of the princes in the first place. Drawing the only knife the maids had not gotten off her she aimed to cut the cloth so that she couldn't wear it, and as she went down and the knife touched the fabric her door opened and her sister's poured in.

"Shayna! What are you doing? You need to wear that! Not destroy it!" The oldest of the twelve remaining younger sisters said. The girl was only 15 but acted as though she was the elder. Each of the other sisters were younger than that being the second eldest being 10 and the rest were 9 8 7 or 4. The youngest were a couple of triplets. All six coming and somehow getting her knife away and finding a way to get her pinned so the maids could put the outfit onto her. She sighed heavily and gave each of the twelve a 'dirty' look and was let up. Being the eldest of thirteen could have been much harder. But they were all girly except one of the seven year olds and the four year olds. They turned out just like she had.

"Fine, god you twelve are pains! Happy i'mm wearing the stupid outfit. Doesn't mean I have to wear it! Plus I hear that the temperature there is a lot colder than here... She complained. Sounding as though she herself was of a younger age. Crossing her arms she looked over at the twelve girls and couldn't help herself. She went to her knees and held out her arms. "Oh who am I kidding? I'm going to miss all of you so very very much! She said with small tears in her eyes. She hated leaving a house full of rowdy young girls to her parents... But that's what they had decided to have. As the girls all ran and hugged their elder sister, Shayna gave them a two minute hug before letting the group go.

"Alright, well. Only one last thing right?"
"Yes! Your going away gifts!" One said happily. Shayna's eyes widened at the idea and was suddenly handed six presents. Two were hand carved knives to replace her old ratty daggers, and they were from the oldest two. The 4 year olds had deemed it worthy to make her a hair band covered in sand and the deserts precious mini gems. Which she stuck in her hair to put it up. The seven year old twins had decided to make her some jewelry and so had the nine year olds. The eight year old twins had made her a scruffy tattered book so that she had a way to write down her feelings without taking them out on others. She couldn't help wanting to cry and hug them somemore but as she was about to the king came in to announce the horses were ready.

She said goodbye quickly and left. Returning to her fiery attitude as she stuck the knives in the sheathes she had hidden on her person and the rest of the gifts into her saddle bag. The fastest horses in Legerdemain were prepped for her trip. Her father wasn't going and said farewell as they left. She waved as she galloped away. Only the bare necessities were packed. Like water for herself and the horses. The other men were to make sure she wasn't attacked.

Kaimei placed his hands in his pocket "Dont be nervous little brother" he said with a slight smile on his face. "Lets go to the city square then that should calm your nerves down" he said as he walked down the stoned road. People were coming out of there homes getting ready for the day. They passed by a young boy and girl setting up a fruit stand "Morning my lords" they said with their innocent eyes. Kaimei grabbed two apples and reached in his pocket and placed down 3 gold pieces "Thank you My lord" Kaimei nodded and walked away. He threw his brother an Apple as he bit into his. "Good Apples Today" he said as they arrived at the City Square.

The Square was a giant circle area surrounded by houses and small shops around the circle. There was a Fountain in the middle of the square. All the main roads were connected to square especially the main gate to enter the city and the Road that lead to the Castle. Most Trading was done in the square and festivals were held here as well

Ren bit the apple, feeling a little lighter as he walked with his brother through the town's center. The people seemed happier than they were years ago, now with the war over. He knew it was his duty to serve, but he was still nervous meeting and being with a woman his whole life. He glanced to his brother, who particularly was against the idea of marriage. He wondered what sad, unlucky and unfortunate girl she was to be chosen by him would be. He glanced up, a habit of his, to check the weather.

"Kaimei." He pointed to a sinking airship, whose smoke trail was a dark grey. A dark, yet large dragon swooped under it, it's indigo wings a clear sign it was their brother, Unmei. Ren watched as his brother saved the airship from crashing, yet looked like he was having a difficult time flying. "What do we do? They need a place to land and a way to move the ship," he deducted.
PostPosted: Mon Jun 17, 2013 12:43 pm

Kaimei looked up to see his brother having trouble keeping the ship afloat "The Air Station is on the Other side of the City" He said "We have to get it there" he added as he dropped the Apple and started to run. He jumped into the air then he transformed into a Ferocious Black Dragon He flapped his wings hard and swooped to where the air ship was and helped lighten the load of ship from his brother. He mentally talked to his Brother "Unmei we have to move this ship to the Airship Port on the other side of the city or it will crash into the Residential area".

"Pull It From Above Brother. I Will Push from here below. Together We should be able to move It. From above you should be able to steer us and keep it balanced...and if it is balanced I will be able to push with all my might." Unmei said into His big brother's mind. He flapped his wings hard and strong, doing his best to keep the ship aloft and to keep it balanced on his back.
