It made logical sense, since from what he gathered of the man named Tomiji he did seem quite forward, and most likely moved quite fast to their location. When she suggested they move towards the forest he grumbled quietly to himself, knowing forests were a pain in the butt to deal with then trying to accurately aim a crossbow on a person. However he stayed his tongue, refraining from speaking out against that statement before stuffing his left hand in his pants pocket, keeping his right hand against his leg as the crossbow attached to it made it quite hard to do so. He listened quietly to her ask Hiruma why he flicked his tongue a lot, something that made him look over at them for a moment before speaking in a calm tone. "From what I can see, he's mostly likely in some way connected to snakes since snakes flick their tongues about to taste the air around them, which allows them to basically taste anyone or thing around them. It gives them an easier time in combat due to not needing to actively search for their prey. Either that or he's just strange. Or a mixture of both." Giving a somewhat teasing smile at the end of his statement the pink-haired Jounin gave his cousin a playful look, indicating he was joking around before looking towards Tsuki, speaking once more. Kendall was having an easy time of this. With the goal in mind being getting captured, he knew sooner or later someone strong was sure to take notice. Untill them, heads rolled, and bodies fell. In truth, Kendall was enjoying himself though no part of his demeanor spoke to that. No he was deathly serious as he ruptured organs and punches and crushed bones with kicks. He let go of one man he had recently disposed of and looked to his comrades, just as Ruka called to cover your ears. He did so as the loud sound echoed through the area. He winced a little at how loud that one slap was. He nodded to her and then turned to look at a pair of guys who seemed to have just walked out of a teen beach movie... surf-boards tans sunglasses shorts... it was disgusting. Kendall cracked his knuckles and motioned for them to try him.
Oddly enough their teamwork was incredible. They launched an all out offensive, heavy but fast swings with ther surfboards proving quite the interesting workout for Kendall's thinking out of the box muscles. He deftly avoided and countered their attacks, planning a counter in his head moments before they were at the apex of their swings. He stepped into one of the blonde zombie-civillians and punched his board with his left hand, snapping it. He brought his right hand up for an upper cut to his chin, moving quickly as he did so and launching him into the air with a crack loud enough to scare away birds. He was quick to turn and block the other surfboard, a smirk painting into his face as he snatched it from him with his insane strength and turning a full 360 degrees, putting his whole body into an attack that nearly tore the poor idiot in half. Kendall grabbed the other one as he fell upside down, by his ankle no less, and slung him into the smaller than they were group.
And that was when Kendall felt the new blips on his radar. He furrowed his brow, realizing these were more than civilians and no one that she already knew. "Form up!" he ordered out loud. It looked like his idea worked. This would be the people coming to capture them. He adjusted his tie as the chakra signatures approached. His eyes flared pink, his chakra visor activated as he examined each chakra signature. "Judging by chakra alone three more powerful shinobi are on their way... one of them possibly on my level." Arashi heard a thunderous clap in the distance and turned his head, although it was not very loud to them, the sound must have been very loud to those in the city. this worried him because it either meant that the enemy was alerting others of the teams presence or the team themselves made the sound. Either way it was pretty obvious they were not covert any more, once Tomiji told them to prepare, Arashi knew that was true. he looked in his pouch and made sure no weapons were missing and then took out his yo-yo. "I'm ready when you are, what do you see?' Things were moving pretty quickly and he was hoping they would continue to speed up, but he still didnt know what was really happening on the ground. It didnt seem to bother him as he would then start playing with the yo-yo, letting it fall and yanking it up back to his hand right before it hit the ground. The three of them had seemingly no problem fighting these people because after all they were simply that 'people' not shinobi but something was giving them the ability to fight even if it wasn't enough because they were still being slaughtered. After her thunder clap Ruka reached out behind her back and pulled out her blade. Where she had been hiding it was hard to tell put she pulled out this ring like handle as she swung the handle forward as a long blade popped out. If she didn't need to use chakra she wasn't. Slashing across the bodies of anyone that got close enough to her. Crimson flying into the air and across the ground with great force. When Kendall ordered them to form up she quickly made her way towards him. Slashing the chest of another man on her way over. His screams echoed out into the air as Ruka didn't even turn to look at him as he fell to the floor, dead. If such strong shinboi were on their way they needed to be careful cause Ruka knew she was no as strong as the two of them. Would she be a hindrance? With his Dojutsu deactivated, Lucifer couldn't detect the incoming masses of energy like Kendall could, so he was instead left doing the same thing as Ruka; killing off a couple more baddies and grouping up in a triangle formation with Kendall, scanning the entire area for immediate threats. This did not--however--mean that they were done fighting. Though a majority of their enemies were cleared, Lucifer would have to manipulate his metal spheres every once in a while to deter the occasional attacker. Other than that, though...it was pretty dead by now. By their efforts, this sector had mostly been cleaned of the turned humans. To prepare them for the upcoming battle, Lucifer immediately quickened his efforts of converting the ground to metal around them.
But when they showed up...it was something on a completely different level. Black masses of energy in the shape of humanoid figures, and even without his dojutsu, Lucifer could tell that their chakra was formidable. For a couple brief moments, the two sides had what appeared to be some form of a western standoff. Two, three brief seconds of intermission, sizing each other up before the initial attack was made. Before long, the silhouettes made the first move. From their palms, dark tendrils of mysterious energy would snake they way toward the three at a frighteningly quick pace for an attack that took no charging. By now, the ground had been amply converted to metal, allowing Lucifer to raise a rather thick wall of metal in front of them at a moment's notice. You could see--from the other side of the wall--the tendrils of energy crashing into the wall, even bending the steel a solid foot out of place toward the group. An attack like that with little to no prep? These guys were a bit more powerful than they let on.
Regardless, Lucifer made the first attack on them. Slamming his palms into the newly created metal spikes, he reversed them in the other direction, instead sending the flurry of metal 'icicles' as an attack at their opponents. With another clasping and releasing of his hands, the masses of metal split into a hail of piercing needles, forcing their opponents to disperse into two groups. The Kage-ranked enemy into a group all their own, and the two weaker silhouettes into a second group. "They're splitting up. What are your orders, Kendall?" Lucifer would wait behind the wall, scouting until he received further instruction..

It wasn't long after her speech that the squad / mission leader decided to move out. Having no complaints the young Kaguya simply followed orders and left with the girl and his cousin to where ever she planned on them being stationed. On the way she asked a very peculiar question which made him chuckle to himself a bit. However, before he could respond, it seems that his cousin had took the initiative and well, pretty much got it right on the dot, but that wasn't all it seemed either as he added in a joke to the end of it to tease which also made him chuckle in response. Things were... about to get tricky. Kendall removed his blazer and dropped it to the ground, revealing the bolts strapped to his arms ever so slightly and narrowing his eyes. He unbuttoned the top of his shirt and rolled up his sleeves as the enemies made their way to them. By the time the standoff began Kendall looked more like he was ready to dance... at least than he looked to kill someone. He pulled his cross bow from the ground and narrowed his eyes at the enemies, holding his gaze at the one who seemed to be his strength. And then suddenly he felt disconnected. His eyes narrowed as his sensory abilities were cut off somehow, perhaps by some chakra jamming device or jutsu. He pursed his lips, unwilling to allow that to be a set back and instead focusing on the three black figures before him. When the tendrills fired, Kendall aimed his crossbow, a sealed bolt loaded already to stop the attack. Instead, Lucifer both stopped the attacks and then made them scatter. The time was nigh, which the other two must have noted.
"Ruka, Lucifer, take the pair down, I'll handle the singular target. Watch each other's backs. Time to play the parts given," he said in reference to them needing to be captured. "Parallel their movements! GO." Vines would wrap around his lower body and his speed would boost as he launched to the side. What he meant was for them to move parallel to the targets literally. They move back, you follow, they go to the side, you do the same. Allowing them to control the direction but controlling the flow would help their goals. Kendall could now begin his secondary goal, which was finding out more about these silhouettes. He activated the three dragons style and his crossbow seemingly transformed to sit above his right fist, bolts ready to be loaded instantly. As he bounded to the side to stay ahead he punched forward, sending a pair of bolts, each with a sheet of paper with two seals inscribed on them, almost as fast as bullets at him. Unless he had deadly perception he'd be unable to dodge them, or at least Kendall thought he wouldn't be. He'd be in for a surprise if he couldn't, as Kendall had a plan to get some info about him before being captured, should things go how he wanted them too. [405 wurdz] [+ 405 = 22267 Total]

A pale pink iris had been following the direction of these figures as they got closer and closer. Remaining calm she did not make another move while awaiting Kendall's orders. Her blade still drawn however; waiting. This blade had slaughtered so many in the past their blood may have been washed away but forever remained apart of the steel. Kendall's voice shot out into the air like his bolts carrying his orders. Lucifer and herself were to take down the pair while Kendall was to deal with the other. Part of her forgetting for a moment that they were going to end up being captured when this was all said and done. Was this all for show in the end? If so bravo. Doing as Kendall told Ruka would move parallel with these shadowy figures where ever they moved she would follow but where they to truly take them down or 'try to?'. The bolts that Kendall fired at the silhouette would seem to fizzle in a strange, dark energy before being crushed midair. This being...whatever it was, the thing was powerful. For a while now, Kendall would have a rather interesting fight on his hands. Discovering the being's abilities, finding out their purpose, and uncovering the being's weaknesses would force him to battle in an all-out fashion that forced even the strongest abilities from his foe. But for now, he was on the defense; a plethora of black tendrils erupted from the silhouette's body, threatening to skewer Kendall to death with even a single mistake. This seemed to be their primary method of attack; tendrils. Making them an absolute nightmare for the former residents of Holyoke.
As for Lucifer and Ruka, the enemies they were facing gave them little more room than the one Kendall was facing. Instead of tendrils, however...they seemed to match Lucifer's previous attack, raining down a hail of dark needles toward the pair. The way the needles were flying, they would pierce through Lucifer's steel wall with little difficulty. In response to this, the Jounin slammed his foot on the ground, sending a series of steel spheres into the air. Manipulating them into a rapid spinning motion, they smashed through the dark needles, flying in a scattered pattern at their attackers. Taking this quick moment in time, Lucifer manipulated his wall to stand horizontally in the air, creating a sort of platform for them to stand on midair. The man leaped up onto the plate, and extended his hand to Ruka for her to grab before lifting her up onto the plate. While waiting for her to take his hand. "A magic carpet ride, perhaps? When we become airborne, we'll both have to attack them in order to have a chance." For now, the man waited, perhaps for her to finish her own distraction-based attack, or to simply take his hand and go airborne. [+ 175 = 22770Total]
xxxxxTomiji watched as everything seemed to be going almost according to plan. It seemed that whatever was responsible for the all the strange occurrences in the city had shown itself, or at least, themselves. Whatever they were, they were strong, at least strong enough to dent Lucifer's metal and make a crossbow bolt disintegrate. It was becoming quickly apparent that the majority of their attacks were based almost completely off using their tentacles. It seemed if you could negate them, or at least avoid them, you took away a major weapon from them. Now, it was just a matter of waiting till the plan fell into place. "It's almost time for us to strike. These enemies appear to be fond of using some form of shadow manipulation, with the majority of attacks coming from tentacles that radiate out from their body. Those tentacles are very power and should be avoided at all costs. Stay at long range, bombard, and disengage. Our purpose is to distract them, not kill them. With that said, we will pretty much stick with our original plan. I will control them upfront while you two stay back and bombard them with jutsu. For now, just wait for the signal." It is the third of five dance forms. After activating the level one cursed seal form, Kimimaro will begin to extend multiple bones from his body. Both from his rib cage and his radius and ulna. Because they are hard as steel (and can be as hard as hyper diamond at Kage), these bones can act as a strong defensive mechanism against incoming strikes. Due to this they will also serve as an offensive attack to allow Kimimaro to move with little effort to impale his opponent.

Tsuki gave a timid nod, her opinion of Nobuyuki getting just a little bit less frightened when he showed a smile. For the rest of the journey, she said nothing, and spoke only after the entire group reached the boundary between forest, beach, and city. Here, they were too far from any other group to expect aid. The giant party had scattered into their own isolated islands of sanity, essentially. She could only hope that she was not wrong in her prediction that any distraction by the second squad would put the majority of the pressure off of this side of the city when her group needed to go in. More than that, though, she hoped that her decision to split the party did not result in any deaths on the mission. A shiver ran through Tsuki as she imagined such an outcome, and for a moment, she felt like she was going to lose herself in her fear, but she pinched herself as hard as possible and shook her head hard. Now wasn't the time. She needed to lay out the basics of their formation going in.
"W-we have two options," Tsuki began, her voice shaking, "which essentially fall under either helping squad 1 directly or helping squad 2 help squad 1. We have two indicators for when we should start moving. The first is a fox summon I've sent to return to me if squad 1 is in trouble. The second is if squad 2 makes a move. They have better long-range surveillance abilities than we do, so I won't be surprised if they catch any signs of trouble before we do. I'll decide then if we are to assist with distraction or discreetly sneak in to retrieve squad 1, but be prepared to change tactics at a moments notice.
"Nobuyuki, pick out the closest place you're comfortable attacking long-range from. If we are to focus on distraction, we'll make our stand there, with Hiruma and I keeping enemies from approaching by ground and keeping an escape route open while making as big a ruckus as possible.
Hiruma, can you taste Lucifer, Kendall, and Ruka from here through everything else? If you can, then I'm depending on you to track them if we are to focus on going deep. It'll be more reliable than following a fox to where he last saw the squad. Fully/Partially Visible Tattoos ↬ Tsuki has a set of tattoos that collectively take the design of multiple wings. At each of her shoulder bones, Uzumaki sealing tattoos etched in white, almost silvery ink extend from her shoulder bones onto her arms, wrapping their skinny shape all the way down to the back of Tsuki’s hands. In the same color is a second pair of wing tattoos that start in the middle of her back, one below the left should bone and the other below the right. These tattoos circle around her waist to the front of her body, where the wing shape that that they design take a steep dip to between the legs. The width of the wings narrow on the way down to the legs and continue to narrow as they spiral down the legs much as the first set of wings spiral down the arms. Once the pair of tattoos reach the knees of the legs they are spiraling down, the seals written into the tattoos are shaped into a ring right below the knees.

Arashi tried to imagine what the enemy's tentacles might look like and couldnt get the image of a man with 8 octopus arms out of his head. he thought it looked crazy and quite honestly a little funny. "Tentacles? damn, i thought we'd fight wizards or something, not octopi." He said slightly under his breath. He knew that if they stuck to the plan their ninjutsu should be able to more than match some tentacles but there was one thing that worried him. What if the tentacles can regenerate after being cut? he stared at the yo-yo as he thought of ways to test it out safely, because that was the first thing he had to discover. however, he couldnt leave himself open to a counter attack if the tentacle could regenerate and attack quickly. he stopped worrying and nodded his head putting his attention back to Tomiji, deep thinking just made him worry more so he just cleared his mind and continued playing with his yo-yo, waiting semi-patiently.

Kendall watched his bolts fizzle and tried to get a read on any chakra, though he couldn't just like before. He saw the tendrils coming and wasn't in the slightest bit phased by them. He crossed his arms and a wave of pinkish green chakra emitted from his body, completely protecting him from the tendrills. With a perfect defense up, he would see how the sillhouette would try to defense. [+ 70 = 23821 Total]

Despite his reserved and quiet nature, Nobuyuki was like any other teenagers; he loved joking around and making people laugh if he could help it. He just learned growing up that acting serious all the time made it so less people bothered him, and less people bothering him meant less people to mourn if they died or something happened to them. Shaking his head he listened to Tsuki as she began speaking, a slight stutter in the beginning that was smoothed out as she continued. when she mentioned finding a spot he was comfortable in to attack from he just nodded his head, adjusting his crossbow slightly before looking around with an analytical gaze; taking in the height and average amount of stuff around each branch and spot he could attack from. With that in mind he listened half intently on the girl as she spoke to Hiruma before shaking his head and channeling chakra throughout his legs. With that done he gave a one-handed salute towards them before tensing his legs and jumping. His body was angled so he would land gracefully on the branch nearby with the best vantage point and cover whilst also having the least in the way of any shots he might take.
