Wow, she actually said yes to the drinks. As she agreed, Azura felt his hands get grabbed and pulled softly with her as he followed after Julia to a stall with a large barrel serving wine and ale in pints. Seeing the bartender, he knew that they weren't going to get their drinks. If anything, Azura looked like he was trying to use alcohol to manipulate Julia to his advantage which was very far off the case. But at this point, Azura wasn't really looking in the right as of now. Watching her work her charms on the man, Azura just stood there, amazed at the fact that what she did actually worked. She even let up a victorious grin as she passed him a pint. Huh. That was pretty cool. Azura said to her, as he took a sip of the pint, swallowing roughly as the liquor washed down his throat, leaving off a sigh. Ah... nothing better than this. Y'know, my gramps would love the wine here. He always talked about liquor from a far off land they called Sake. Said it was for warriors, or something. Azura added as he took one more sip. When Julia asked about what brought him to the academy, Azura thought of it, and thought it was maybe okay to talk about that part without saying his forbidden knit. Hmm... well, I'm from a small island village off the coast of here. My gramps said it would be better to go off and experience the world and meet new people other than to sit around in an island, fishing all day and reeking like Tuna, according to him. Azura added. He even had a soft welcoming smile on him. It was at time like this that Azura had missed the village after only one day. Which in reality, Azura's just worried his guardian didn't accidentally fell off the boat staring at girls again, like the pervert he is. So how about you? Actually, you don't seem like a first year, by the the fact that you've been around here before. Azura said to her.

Aeona looked around as she got closer to a booze cart, she saw a red head... no, blonde. Aeona rubbed her eyes, the light had just made her look red for a second. She noticed the booze as she and a black haired boy sat down together and she couldn't help but wonder. She took a few tentative steps forward, making sure to quite her thoughts as she walked over to the table. Aeona moved a lock of her long black hair behind her shoulder before bringing her hand back under her bunny lantern "Everywhere else is pretty full, do you mind?" she asked as she eyed the empty seat before she put the third coconut ball in her mouth, this one was colored a baby blue.

Aeona would wait a few seconds before she would lower herself into the open seat and put the paper container holding three more coconut balls down on the table, one was brown, another light green, and one white. She picked up the brown coconut ball and ate it, tasting a mix of chocolate and coconut was pleasant. Her mind reached out to them and she caught a small glimpse into who they were, the one she had mistaken for a red head was Juliana and the black haired male was named Azura, she liked how the names rolled around in her head, made her want to say them out loud to see how they felt when the names were said, but from personal experience she refrained from saying the names aloud- it tended to make cause some odd encounters.

Normally, Cathy would be so pissed considering that a lot of stuff occurred in just one day, more so with her past life within the castle walls. However, it had slightly changed on this special night, more so with Griselda appreciating a small gesture of encouragement. The princess grinned, teeth still stained with the food but at least she looked a bit cleaner with the remnants of the food wipe off from her lips. "No biggie. Now, it's best that we finish the food. I may still have training but there's still the fireworks to look forward to later tonight."

Usually, she would just enjoy the scenery from the balcony of the castle, but that was back them before studying in the academy. Right now, she would get to experience the moment of watching the fireworks up close and personals. But before that, the training had to start first, so she had to clean up the mess. She may be much of a glutton but it didn't mean that she forgot about having to take responsibility. Once the mess was cleaned up alongside her hands, that was when she walked away from the square. The festivities would still continue on, but she might come back once the fireworks show would commence.

And she made sure that Griselda would follow her on the way there. Finally, she would get the exercise that she needed.

Griselda had nearly forgotten that Catherine intended on training, but isn't it a bad idea to perform intensive training after having a big meal? The redhead warrior certainly doesn't take any chances like that, which is why she ate light. The cake she was given shouldn't affect her too much either in case Catherine decides that she needs a training buddy. Maybe thats why Griselda was invited to come along. She did bring her sword and shield with her, so it wouldn't be out of the question, but why her among anyone else within the same rank and class? The small slice of cake didn't take long for her to eat, although she had to get up and go to one of the vendors to ask for something to clean with for her hands. With her hands clean, she also got rid of the soup bowl and spoon before she quickly caught up to the princes who was leaving to go someplace where she can train in private.

"For warriors, eh? Sounds like something I'd like to try," Julia grinned. "But I'm sure we can find it around here somewhere, this city is quite big," she said, pride evident in her voice. She might not have been from here originally but this city had been her home for the last few years. Azura's explanation brought a laugh out of her. "Your grandfather sounds like a smart man. You sound like you miss him," she said, eyeing the soft smile on his face. It was understandable and Julia felt a pang of sympathy go through her: she was lucky Marisenn taught her at the academy otherwise she'd feel the same way if she had to leave her as well as her dad to come here and from the sounds of it, Azura and his grandfather seemed close.

"You're right, I'm a third year," Julia smirked proudly. "My guardian teaches here and she had enough of me lying around and being 'up to no good'," she quoted with her fingers and rolled her eyes to show exactly what she thought of that, even though it wasn't really a lie. "So she got me enrolled here early to do some good with my raiment. Don't know how much good this'll do though." Julia waved her hand upwards and a couple of bones rose out of the ground to form a staff that she grabbed and twirled around. Almost immediately, people shuffled away from her, some looking disgusted while most looking pale and fearful, but no one said a word, recognizing her uniform or knowing her as Marisenn's ward. Julia just rolled her eyes at their reaction, it happened almost every time she used her raiment outside the school, the students were used to her antics even though most of them stayed away. Just to unnerve them further, she slashed her staff at the crowd and more bones rise up to point out of the ground theatrically, causing them to back away with a few yelps. Julia suppressed a giggle, they were way to uptight if they were still scared of that trick."Ah, don't mind them, people get scared easily here," she dismissed, returning to her conversation with Azura and dropping her staff and dismissing the bones. At least she'd see his reaction to her raiment and she hoped he wasn't as spineless as the people around them. He didn't seem bad at all.

Just then, a girl with long black hair joined them, asking if the didn't mind. Julia didn't know if she saw her stunt, but it wasn't like that mattered. "Go ahead, I don't mind," she smiled at her before nodding at Azura as if to say it was up to him. She wasn't usually this considerate but she did drop his food. "I'm Julia Ankel and this is Azura," she introduced, looking curiously at the food the girl brought along with her. "What are those? They look good."

Aeona danced out of the way of the rising bones, bringing one of her hands down as she lifted the skirt of her dress slightly so it wouldn't get caught as she moved. She then sat down, nodding to Juliana as a thanks before she moved her hand away from her skirt to bring it back up as her left hand took hold of the tooth pick and rolled it between her fingers, so the girl could control bones some how. Aeona found that pretty morbid but nothing she couldn't handle, she'd basically been raised under a in the dirt and finding animal bones wasn't that strange.

When she was addressed again Aeona raised her head and smiled softly at Juliana "The vendor called them colored coconut balls" she said as she moved the orange one around with a toothpick "They taste really good, they melt in the mouth as soon as they hit the tongue" she said to her before she looked over at Azura oh, I'm Aeona..." she trailed off for a moment as she tried to decided under which name she wanted to be known under, her paternal family had raised her but it wasn't them that sent her to Eoana Academy- it only seemed right that she use her maternal families name since they were the ones that were paying for everything "Aeona Fleurette" she said.

Eh, not really. He's just some perverted fisherman who spends his time in the pub drinking and flirting with girls our age, and knocking me unconsious as a reward for good training... Azura said, remembering the
whack on the head which he still feels to this day. Also, he's not really my grandpa. I just call him that since I'm an orphan. Azura said, as he listened to her story about her guardian working in the academy and enrolled Julia in the classes just to help her stop getting into trouble. Guess she must have a reputation for causing trouble or so. It was then that she questioned if any good can come from her raiment, since she began summoning bones from the ground itself and shaped them into a staff, and waved it at the people near them, which caused them to freak out and back away from the area where Azura was. That just felt like something he's all too familiar with. It somewhat ticked Azura off a bit as he just frowned at the response and actions. Well... To be honest, it's not the powers you hold that makes you good or bad, but how you use them. And frankly, that wasn't cool to freak the people out like that. Azura said to her. It was then that someone had came up and sit with the two after the people in the vicinity left the area where bones were scattered and asked to sit. Something about that made Azura think one of two things: Either she has a knit too that makes this all normal to her, or she's just weird. Guess it was the first one, according to Azura. Welcome, Aeona. Want me to get you a drink? He asked her, as he got up from his seat.

- Founding Festival Finale Event - Fireworks -

In the middle of the city center, surrounded by various stages for musicians to perform upon and entertainers to occupy, stood a well-constructed tower with a large platform with a guard rail. Flanked by two separate ladders and stacked with various crates, stood a trio of men who were preparing the evenings final event – the fireworks. As the sun sunk behind the horizon and the sky began to gradually lose its light, the stars began to make their presence known once more. With the setting of the sun, the musicians knew to begin to play their final sets, to draw the crowd in for the finale. Various entertainers began to call out to the people, beckoning them to come forward to not only pay tribute to the men and women that had graciously entertained them for the afternoon and evening, but to observe the main and final event of the night.

Once the sky was considered dark enough, the trio atop the platform was ready and there were enough observers down below, the show began. With a small flame, the first firework shot straight up into the air, climbing into the sky, higher and higher over all the heads of the patrons until, ’BOOM! Pop!’ Brilliant color filled the night sky, alighting all beneath it. The chorus of ‘Ooooo’s and ‘Awwwww’s encouraged the trio to alight more and more fireworks as the cheers rang out below them. Everyone stood with their faces turned towards the heavens, their gazes captivated by the brilliant display above them.

The Eoana Academy 5th Anniversary Founding Festival would soon draw to a close. The fireworks would be the final hurrah before the citizens of Eoana would seek their homes and their beds. The students of the Academy would be free to return to their dorms and in the morning, they would face a new beginning.

OOC: Please wrap up all character interactions. We will be moving on to the next RP day as of 8.18.17 12:00pm EST (East Coast USA Time)

    - Enter Ezra & Gannon to City Center – Founding Festival -

By the time Ezra and Elijah arrived back at the festival the musicians and entertainers were playing their last sets for the night as the city officials prepared the fireworks on top of the central tower. Deciding it would be best to return to the area where they had last seen Ven, and where Elijah had fainted, they walked back through the dense crowd to the honey biscuit vendor. It was only after seeing the vendor again that he remembered purchasing the honey biscuits for Ven, to be delivered to his office tomorrow. He was glad that he’d had the foresight to send the gift to his best friend – it would go a long way toward apologizing for his lack of self control.

As the crowd began to move toward the center platform, Elijah was nearly pushed away from Ezra. Reaching out, he grasped Ezra’s hand to keep a hold of him. It wasn’t until they were able to find a gap in the mass of people that Elijah turned an apologetic look to his colleague. “I apologize, I just didn’t want to get swept away with the crowd.” Releasing Ezra’s hand, he did his best to hide his blush by looking out over the crowd for Ven, who was hopefully still in the area.

"At least you have someone, that's better than being alone." Marisenn could be an irritating stick in the mud at times but Julia was sure she'd have gone crazy without her or her dad. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes when Azura scolded her about freaking the people out. It wasn't her fault they acted like idiots around her and were chickens to boot. "That's a nice ideology to have, but someone should tell them that," she pointed her thumb at the people still sending her wary looks. It was an admirable idea, Julia could admit, but a bit naive. Sure, she never cared about people's raiments, it wasn't like they could control what they got, but not everyone believed that and they certainly acted like it.

Julia's nose wrinkled when the girl, another first year she assumed, said they were coconut balls and she sighed forlornly. "Ah, okay. Shame, I'm allergic to those." She smiled when the girl introduced herself as Aeona, nodding when Azura offered to get her a drink. "They're really good," she encouraged. Just then, Julia heard a shrill whistle and she looked up, surprised to see how dark it had become. She spotted a small rocket shooting up before exploding in a brilliant shower of sparkles, followed by another, and more. Julia stared at the fireworks, equally captivated by the show as everyone else seemed to be, and was disappointed when the last sparkles fizzed. Sighing, she got up and dusted her clothes off before turning to Azura and Aeona. "Well, it looks like it's time to go. Do you guys know where your dorms are? I can show the way," she offered generously. She'd spent the festival with them, she had to do something nice to make up for it.

To say that Ven was worried would be an understatement. After getting some curry from a vendor, he quickly made his way back to where he left Eli and Ezra, only to find them gone. At first, he'd been confused, where could they be? But he as he searched futilely for them, the confusion turned to anger. He'd specifically told them to stay put, but instead they both disappeared! He'd asked around but the most people could tell him was that someone who looked a lot like Eli had too much to drink and passed out and his companion took off with him which did the opposite of helping him. Hearing that Eli did faint increased his worry and while he was a little relieved that Ezra did watch over him, he was becoming increasingly frantic as his efforts to find them were futile. What if something worse had happened? Why did Ezra have to disappear with Eli without warning? He couldn't even track them by their scent, not in the massive crowds with them being long gone and air already saturated with all sorts of smells, so Ven was forced to look normally. It soon became dark while Ven continued searching and while fireworks lit up the sky, he was too frustrated and worried to enjoy them, distracted by his search.

It was by sheer coincidence that Ven looped back to where he started when he smelled Eli's familiar scent. Despite his efforts to suppress them, his hopes rose and Ven easily pushed through the crowds to where he though Eli was, accompanied by Ezra he could tell now. He finally caught sight of them and the relief that washed through him was enough to make him stagger, although it was soon replaced with anger. Marching forward, he gripped Eli's shoulder with his large hand (not too hard) and barely refrained from shaking him, not wanting to make him feel worse. "Where have you been?" he practically yelled, "I was worried!" Ven let go of his shoulder to pinch the bridge of his nose instead to stave off his impending headache. He had to remember that it wasn't his really fault, not if he'd fainted. He turned to Ezra. "I appreciate you taking care of him, but it would've been polite to give a warning or a message," he growled, the anger very poorly concealing his worry. He really did appreciate it, but he'd be more appreciative of Ezra's efforts later, after he'd calmed down. Not now when he was still wound up. With the last of the fireworks dying behind him in the sky, Ven forced himself to take a deep breath to try and calm down. It was late and they needed to go back to their homes. "At least tell me you're feeling okay," he pleaded to Eli. The curry had long since gone cold in it box, partly crushed by his paw.

With the festival coming to a close, Caden and his musician group were packing up, ready to head out from the square and looking for an inn to rest for the night. They were exiting the stage but the leader's eyes were cast on both Gannon and Lera holding hands, as if something magical had occurred to them on their time alone. They were all saying hi, asking how was the date, but Lerato decided to answer to all of them with just one simple act. He grasped onto Gannon's arm in a clingy matter, a sign that he was all his for the taking.

“I know all of you are curious, but what matters is that we were having a great time. Now, will you excuse us? I'm going to watch the fireworks with this handsome guy beside me." That was all he said to them before walking away from the group. Understanding that Lerato deserved it, Caden had to tell them to just leave them alone. While the couple may end up becoming the topic for the casual discussion, the wandering musicians still had the ongoing tour and they were going to busy on that matter. The childhood friend just wished the court mage good luck on his new relationship before being out of sight.

Lerato immediately noticed the sign of the stall that was the recommendation and he gently dragged Gannon to that place. The old couple, the owners of the stall, recognized him and greeted him hello. The court mage ended up ordering two bowls of the beef stew together with the bread. He was sure that Gannon and Brageet would smell the aroma of the best-selling dish that was the trademark of the store, a family recipe handed down throughout the generations.

Aeona shrugged as she popped the last one into her mouth "to bad....they taste good" she muttered as she felt the sugar melt away into her mouth and just in time as she jumped slightly in shock and turned her head to watch the fire works go off, her long black hair flicking around her. She craned her neck up in order to see the fire works explode and she was awed, it was beautiful and dare she say majestic? yes she did. It was painful on the eyes to watch for to long however and she was brought back by the mention of a drink.

Aeona looked over at the black haired buy and shook her head "No thank you, others would not enjoy it if I partook" she said to him, managing a small smile despite rejecting the offer "I tend to become a party foul if I do" she then turned her head back to Juliana. It was already time to go? but she had just got here....She regretted walking to the festival now and wished she had hitched a ride on a horse with someone, but that was in the past now, however she still couldn't help but feel a little disappointed, she is human after all. Aeona shook her head "I'd assume somewhere around the academy, but knowing for sure would be greatly appreciated" she said as she took Juliana up on her offer, if her half sister was here she would be showing her the way, but the second year seemed to be busy with something more important then showing her around. Aeona stood up and looked over at Azura, wondering if he was coming as she started to slowly follow Juliana

Not only was Gannon uncomfortable with large crowds of people, but he was more uncomfortable with being the center of attention. For the second time today, attention was being drawn to him and he couldn’t help but feel a bit anxious. Lerato’s musician friends were eager to see him and socialize. Like before, he felt a bit awkward around them, especially now, given that he and Lerato were holding hands openly when before, Gannon had given him some space to converse with the troupe.

The leader, Lerato’s childhood friend, was paying close attention to them both and everyone seemed curious to know what had happened and who Gannon was to Lerato. As Lerato’s friend questioned him about the date and how it was going, Lerato moved closer to grasp Gannon’s arm and cling to him in a sweet, affectionate way. Already anxious with the situation, this only made Gannon blush deeply as he looked from Lerato to the troupe, who knew right away that he and Lerato were more than friends and colleagues.

Before any of the troupe’s questions could be asked or answered, Lerato bid them all farewell and led him away from the group toward the food vendors. Lerato hadn’t been lying when he’s said that the stew was delicious. He could tell just by the smell alone that it was going to be one of the best stews he’d had in a long time. Not one to eat out very often, he was happy to share the experience with Lerato. Bowls and slices of fresh bread in hand, they headed away from the crowd and to a bench where they could eat in peace and still have a view of the fireworks from where they sat.

In no time, Gannon had polished off the stew and some of the bread – Brageet had insisted in partaking in the bread, not that he blamed her, it had been delicious. Leaning back in his seat, he looked to Lerato and smiled a bit before speaking. “Thank you…for inviting me out today.” He couldn’t help but wonder what would have happened if he hadn’t accepted Lerato’s offer to accompany him to the festival. Would Lerato still have confessed to him? Or would he have waited for another time? Whichever was the case, it didn’t matter…all that mattered was that he knew Lerato’s true feelings and that they were going to give the relationship a try.

With that thought in mind, the first fireworks began to pop overhead. Brageet immediately sunk down on his shoulder, the loud noise and the bright flashes frightening her. Reaching up, he gently cupped her head in his palm to comfort her and block some of the noise and light from her view. His other hand, was held firmly in Lerato’s as they watched the display above them.

Face turned skyward toward the brilliant display above them, Elijah didn’t notice Ven approaching until he felt a heavy hand on his shoulder. Jumping slightly in surprise, he turned wide eyes to Ven, who looked agitated and irritated more than Elijah had ever seen him. He knew full well that Ven wanted to shake some sense into him, but he was holding back the urge. Hanging his head a bit, Elijah didn’t know what to say. This was all his fault – if he just took better care of himself in the first place he wouldn’t have fainted and none of this would have happened. He’d ruined Ven & Ezra’s festival experience and the guilt he felt weighed heavily on him.

As Ven turned his attention to Ezra, Elijah felt a jolt shoot through him. Taking a small step in-between Ezra and Ven, he faced his best friend. With his hands up, he did his best to calm Ven down and direct his ire away from Ezra and back onto him. Elijah’s action seemed to work, for no sooner had he stepped in-between them, did Ven ask him if he was feeling better. Releasing a small sigh of relief, he nodded.

“Yes, I’m feeling much better, thanks to Ezra.” He said with a small smile. “I’m so sorry for worrying you Ven, I feel awful. Please don’t blame Ezra for any of this – I am the one to blame.” He wasn’t about to have Ezra feel bad for helping him in a time of need. He didn’t need to be scolded or brow beaten for doing a good deed. Not to mention Ven could be one scary bear when he was upset…

“I’m really sorry Ven, really…” Despite his best efforts, he felt his eyes sting a bit with tears. However, he was determined not to cry in front of Ven and Ezra – he’d already embarrassed himself enough today. “I’ll make it up to you both, I promise.” He didn’t know how he’d be able to do that, exactly, but he’d find a way to pay them both back. This wasn’t how you treated your friends and loved ones.

As the fireworks finale burst and popped overhead, they all turned their faces skyward for the moment, taking in the sight as the splash of colored light washed over all of them. Glancing at Ven and Ezra, despite the way the day had turned out, Elijah felt grateful for such good friends. He was determined to show them both how much he appreciated them and all they had done for him today. One way or another, he would make it up to them.
