Round 3: Wits + Stamina Final totals and winners will be handled Sunday, Dec 10 at 10am PST.
Irath nearly overshot Mishaath, curtailing her upwards momentum despite his apologies. When had the brown crept up so close? She didn't know, but stalling out mid-air made her suddenly aware of hos sore her wings were, how fast hear hearts were pounding. It was...well, it was time, really. Where was Tyalith? Her green neck curved to peer down after her lady love, spotting her nearly beat for beat with the rest of the pack. She wanted so badly...but also could not wait much more. Her wings were swift, but not strong, and though she loved, she would rather be caught then fall. Her Tyila needed her, after all. And there was a time where knowing when to give in became important.
With a tired, worn trill, the green called to her suitors a last time, wings laboring to push her forward in a long, almost lazy arc. Where were the broad wings to catch her, to hold her up?
* Missed filling in a post, score for round halved

No, no, no. This couldn’t be happening. She couldn’t—no. Mishaath was so fast, and she couldn’t keep up! Another dragon would win her.

A startling jolt came suddenly in his chest and before he knew it makes were passing him left and right, even the other green soared up above him towards her dark intended. Had he been at full strength, had they not just finished a job that had required much of his stamina and speed, if only he had known. Of course these were just hollow excuses in the face of his impending failure, but the sickening ache of exhaustion was pulling at his muscles and Zioneth, rock headed to the last, pushed his wings ever harder in attempts to make up for it. Surely he had something left in him, certainly he couldn't be done for so early!
Through their connection he felt his rider raise on legs shaking from a mix of post plunder exertion and alcohol to stare up at him. Willpower flooded him, she never did this, what was her endgame? Was it her try at pulling him back? Never! Roaring his indignation for his worn out wings to the sky, the brown pushed with the last of his reserves, eyes on a green, both, either! It didn't matter to him!

Irath curved and arched back, wings open and broad catching air to bank his descending arch and still a little bit over shoot there. He shifted, working on controlling the dive by adding a bit of a loop to slow and not end up to far away from the tired green.

Hinburath indeed found himself passed up by several of the others. He calmly noted the two others who passed him in which order. The green Mishaath capping up in an arch. He heard her trill and gave a rumble in reply. She'd put up a good flight, he would be interested to see who she picked from her suitors.
At the trill, Thoth beat his wings harder. He could feel the burn already starting to set in, a tiredness born from excitement. With a near-musical bugle, he tried to match the green's arch, holding his forepaws out. Could he do it? Could he catch her? Or could he, perhaps, catch Tyalith?

His attention upon the two greens, as well as the lovely brown hide of Xaphrith, Ddraigth could tell the leading green was tiring herself out. He didn't call out to her, he was too far from her at the moment to offer, though he was catching up. He was sure she would make a choice and if he wasn't chosen well, he would catch someone, hopefully.

FINAL RESULTS
So here are our final numbers! 65: Irath 57: Hinburath 52: Mishaath 48: Tyalith 43: Ddraigth 36: Zioneth 29: Thoth 27: Xaphrith 26: Avroth 5: Mnereth
The first roll will be Mishaath's, and my next post will be for Tyalith!
--------------------------------
The green banked, and spotted her Tyalith, winging so fast towards her, reaching, seeking her out...but Misaath couldn't hold on any longer. With a trilling, apologetic croon to her green love, she flared her wings, catching enough air to push her into Irath's waiting claws. Sorry, sorry, but thank you Irath. My wings, I can't...! The green sighed as she let the brown take her weight, lazily coiling about him. All the while her eyes stayed fixed on Tyalith...but you know, of all the males chasing, Irath wasn't so bad. Perhaps, if she hadn't been so nervous about the whole thing, his antics would even have made her laugh.
Now, hopefully Tyalith wouldn't be too mad at him. He'd been very kind, after all.

Irath shifted and gently clutched the small green, taking her weight as they moved away and coiled around. < It is alright, my lady. I can support us both for now.>
J'in rubbed at his face momentary before setting the bow down and then the violin back into its case. Okay, and he was just going to stumble into his bed and not think about any of this and ...
A nap was in order. J'in picked up the case, disappearing back into his weyr with the peeping of his fair of flits. He slid the case back in its niche and disappeared into his bed.
