Many years ago, there was a group of cultists who believed that the Ketsuryugan was the source of all misfortune. Their basis for this claim was that the alternate personality that developed within all Kurama clan members who use the doujutsu was controlled by an otherworldly demon, cast out of the plain of reality by the God’s who reigned over the inhabitants of the planet. The leader of this cult often preached that if the Dragon, as they came to know it, had continued to go unchecked, the demon would return to the mortal realm and wreak untold havoc. Part of the reason the Ketsuryugan was thought to have gone extinct was from earlier renditions of this cult.

Long before the current time, this cult, known to those throughout the world as Shin'ya no Jikkō, or “Midnight Execution,” was founded by a man who had witnessed the death of his wife and children at the hands of someone who had been swallowed whole by the insanity the doujutsu caused. After hiding and faking his own death, he traveled the world and researched various texts that explained the Blood Dragon Eye and came to learn of the existence of the alter ego from one Kurama clansman who documented the progression of their insanity. From start to finish, the testimony seemed to show a slow overtaking of their personality by the beast. The founder of Midnight Execution refused to believe that the slaughter of his family was the result of some random act of violence by a mentally ill individual. He came to rationalize that the Dragon was an entity residing outside of the human world, and further explained it to be a malicious deity.

Slowly the man gathered a following. Some joined due to the religious aspect of his preaching, others joined after falling victim to similar interactions with the Ketsuryugan. His name was lost in his past, and the cult refered to him as Chūsainin, the Arbitrator. As the cult grew, it became apparent to some of the villages surrounding their base of operations that they were up to something nefarious. The sermons given by the Arbitrator often incited loud cheers of approval, but mixed into these cheers were threats ranging anywhere from death to torture. Multiple reports were made to village leaders and militant authorities, but there was no further proof of intent; no actions could be taken against them. However, thoughts quickly turned to action once the Arbitrator realized that suspicions were rising. The cult split into several groups and traveled to the corners of the world.

The world would only document the events of the following years as a series of tragedies with no apparent cause. Midnight Execution had enacted a worldwide slaughter of anyone with ties to the Kurama clan, even those only connected through rumors. Entire communities were removed from existence, never to be heard of again. Many of the ruins visited today as tourist attractions are a result of the efforts that the Arbitrator set in motion. By the time Midnight Execution had regrouped, only one small congregation of Kurama members survived, only doing so by erasing their existence using Genjutsu. No one remembered them, and they retreated to a remote mountain area, setting up a new home. Once things had cooled down and the world forgot about the Kurama entirely, they emerged and spread out to make attempts at rebuilding the clan. Most don’t teach their kids this history. They see it as an unnecessarily dark series of events that their children don’t need exposed to. As a result, Midnight Execution and the Arbitrator faded from history.

You may be wondering what any of this has to do with Kuma’s history. Well, you see, just because we can’t see the monsters under our bed doesn’t mean they don’t exist. During the Kogarashi war, the modern day rendition of Midnight Execution reared their heads, under a new name. Konpeki no Tora, the Azure Tiger. They changed their name to better fit their intentions of combating the Ketsuryugan’s Blood Dragon. The members of today are required to have a tattoo branded on their backs of a blue tiger locked in battle with a red serpent in a yin-yang fashion. Of course, as is their belief, the tiger is depicted as winning the exchange. Having learned of the existence of the Sakkakugan, knowing now that it Is a precursor for their sworn enemy, they saw the war as the perfect opportunity to go unnoticed in the public eye. Sabishīgakure, the village Kuma’s parents had settled in, was raided by the Azure Tiger. They spared no civilians. Houses were burned, stores leveled, clinics ransacked. Public executions were held every few minutes until there was no one left. Almost.

Kuma’s parents luckily had seen the invasion as soon as it started and had ample time to weave a complicated genjutsu with several layers and facets in order to completely obscure their son. Part of this genjutsu involved paralyzing their son and placing him into a comatose state. Afterwards they hid him away in a waterproof box and layered even more genjutsu over that to hide its presence and form, allowing it to flow downriver undetected. They were sure the Azure Tiger was more than capable of breaking through genjutsu, seeing as they were constantly raving about the evil of the Blood Dragon Eye’s. To combat this, they made a complicated layer of illusions that required several various separate instances of Kai to completely nullify the effort to give their son a clean escape. That was the only way he would have survived. Kuma was only a young boy during this time. Five years old.

The box Kuma was hidden in washed up at the river bend several kilometers from his village, and even further from any other sort of civilization. If the Azure Tiger had found him, they would be far out of their own way. The risk paid off, and once he woke up from his comatose state, the memories flooded into him. Whatever his parents had done, they made sure that when he woke up, they could give him one last message. “Run, hide, don’t come back.” This was the gist of the point they got across. They had imparted the knowledge of who had destroyed the village, and some empathetic visions of what had happened. Some may think this was a cruel thing to do to such a young child. They’d be right. No kid should ever have to see visions of the absolute destruction that befell their home. The point of this message wasn’t to scare him. It was to forcefully awaken any latent talent he may have for the Sakkakugan, giving him as much of a surviving chance as they could without being there for him. The only way they could think to help him was to force the doujutsu to activate at his young age.

Kuma was on his own. He did whatever he had to do to survive. He hunted, collected water, and stuck to himself as he moved through the countryside, avoiding any decent sized settlements and stopping at the smaller ones for a more comfortable rest. Kuma only stopped to stay at one place when he reached Kiremashima. He didn't know what the place was, but it seemed like it was the safest he could find. The boy grew up there, making his own makeshift hovel and doing odd jobs to get money for things he needed. During his stay in the rogue settlement, he had overheard some people talking about Kagami, the woman on top of the world compared to them. She lived in a castle, and was known to be a top-tier genjutsu user. Over time, he overheard more rumors of the Hari woman, such as her jinchuriki status and, more importantly, her possession of the Sakkakugan eye. Kuma made it his personal mission to meet her, hoping that she could teach him something about his own dojutsu.

Kuma joined Kogarashi briefly before their invasion of Arashigakure. He was nothing more than a footsoldier, and as such was largely unnoticed by the woman who he had begun to idolize. Due to his frail body, and how largely unhelpful he would inevitably be during their strike on the village, Kuma had stayed behind with a few other members of the group. The others had offered him a bit of training while they awaited word on the results of the operation. A few hours would go by before they knew that the Kogarashi forces had been completely crushed, along with the news that Kagami Hari had been killed. Kuma, with the person he admired most in the world assumed to be dead, felt more lost than he ever had. His already turbulent personality underwent a drastically dark change. However, Kagami had not died, as the report had claimed. In fact, she was very much alive. When the task force that the Arashikage had sent to destroy the Kogarashi Institute launched their attack, Kagami led the few remaining members to safety, the group vanishing into what used to be the Land of Water.

As time passed, Kuma silently observed Kagami’s actions when he could. She seemed very unlike the person he had believed her to be. When the group was officially dissolved, the last of their numbers scattering to the winds and lost to history, a fire sparked in young Kuma. He had crossed paths with Kagami a number of times, always disguised as some random passerby so that she wouldn’t recognize him. His idolization of the woman had begun to border on obsession, but was also coupled with a tinge of disappointment. Kuma had developed a sprawling information network using both underground and legitimate methods to keep tabs on as many notable individuals as he could. He used what he would learn from his contacts to piece together a rough idea of what was going on. Toso and Kagami had struck some sort of deal, it would seem, and she was working under the pretense of helping the Arashikage.

Kuma came to believe that Kagami was under some sort of control that she could not break free of. In his mind, there was no way that she would ever align herself with the interests of the very system that she had wanted to dismantle. At the same time, however, he couldn’t bring himself to think that there was any force in the world that could control her. The fissure of logic this had created in his brain festered, driving him further and further towards complete insanity. Kuma’s personality fractured, splitting itself into two separate but equal voices. The dojutsu he had learned to control had evolved around this time, and with it his power grew. Kuma’s split personalities reached a mutual understanding that they would make it their mission to fulfill Kagami’s mission and rid the world of the corruption that the village system was perpetuating. For that, they would need much greater strength.

Kuma trained his mind, diving into mountains of literature on topics of war, philosophy, politics, history, and other similar subjects. As the rest of the world moved on, getting itself into increasingly desperate situations, Kuma made a journey away from the established villages and into territories that went unnoticed. The lands he reached should have been nostalgic. They were the place of his birth, after all. They had been under the command of the Azure Tiger group that had waged their holy war on his clan. In one night, before the sun would rear its head again, Kuma had repaid the favor. Every member of the group, and anyone affiliated with them, were cut down. Their blood ran through the streets, staining the soil and scarring the land with an act of chilling violence.

Kuma slowly began to reconnect with former Kogarashi members, and formed a leaderless following of individuals who shared the goal of destroying the villages and restoring order to the world. They went without speaking the groups proper name so that rumors couldn’t reach the ears of the shinobi. As the Jashinist threat gripped their throats, Kuma took steps to enact his own plan against the villages. Using the Ketsuryugan’s ability to breathe tangible life into an illusion, Kuma constructed a series of impossibly complex genjutsu, that he would cast on himself and a number of the groups members. The technique was designed to make the individual under its effects appear as a younger version of themselves, and would cause memory altering effects after a predetermined amount of time. Weaving the realism-generating abilities of his dojutsu into the technique, Kuma succeeded in giving himself, and those that had volunteered for his plans, back their youth, and quickly made his way towards the village he intended to reside in for the time being, trusting that the soldiers would do the same. The rest of the genjutsu’s effects kicked in after they were all within the villages' walls.

The memory altering effects had erased all knowledge of Kogarashi, Kagami Hari, his hatred of the shinobi system, and their own publically nameless group. His memories of his childhood were also rewritten, and he would believe that he had been residing in the village since his parents sent him down the river in that damned box. The effect on his memories also led to the regression of his ketsuryugan, back to its original state, and even further than that to before he had even unlocked its precursor form. Similar effects would take place on all those who were under this genjutsu. All they had to do now was wait for a specific event to unravel the effects of the technique and return their true memories. They are Kogarashi, and they will finish what had been started.

Nindo: "In a world full of monsters, someone's gotta hunt."
Personality: When it comes to everyday life, Fudoharu finds it boring. He can often be seen lounging around away from everyone else until something interesting happens, which makes people think he's lazy. The reality is, he doesn't have any interest in most people. His clan thinks he's apathetic. Now... that said, he does have a short fuse. If you get under his skin, he gets angry really quick, and is liable to explode depending on how mad you made him. This is especially true for Sumire, since he finds the task of being her bodyguard to be a weight keeping him from doing what he wants, but his loyalty to his clan and to the Shogun prevent him from shirking his duties.

Having volunteered to care for his pet when the rest of his clan wanted to get rid of it, you'd think that Fudoharu would have a fairly decent relationship with the animal, right? Wrong. Haru does care for Teki, but the attitude the cat feels towards him annoys the hell out of the tamer. The two don't really get along. Even still, Haru goes everywhere with the damned thing. Teki's often hiding in Fudoharu's hood. The close proximity isn't ideal, but it is the best place to nap without being disturbed.

Strangely enough, what breaks Fudoharu out of his apathetic daze is the prospect of a monster hunting expedition. He has a dream to defeat every kind of monster in order to use them to make and try new and unique tea's, as that is his go-to drink of choice. When someone mentions fighting monsters to him, he perks up immediately, forgetting about any anger or other emotions for the time being. Secretly, Fudoharu has a big heart. He's just too passionate about certain things, and too detached from others. He's humble about the things he's good at, except when it comes to Tea and Monster Hunting. For those, he knows he's good and won't accept any debate on the matter.

                        Village: Land of Iron
                        Title: Null

Background: ”OW, hey! Watch the – OW!” The disgruntled voice could be heard from the other side of the sliding door. It opened briefly, barely long enough to shove the pink haired boy through the threshold before slamming shut again. ”What the hell. They didn’t have to be that rough,” hands bound, still in his night clothes. Clearly he had been pulled straight from his bed to be delivered into this room. It was a room of legend. A terrifying enclosure to anyone unfortunate enough to be brought into its confines. A single table and a pair of chairs was the only furniture in the entire room. Sitting across the table, occupying one of the chairs, was a man who’s attention was buried in a series of documents. ”Fudoharu, sit.” The man’s voice was gruff. Clearly he wasn’t in the mood for any nonsense. ”Nice to see you too, dad...”

It was only once Fudoharu had taken his seat that his father took his eyes off the documents, piling them into a folder and shutting it, the force of which made a loud thud as his hand clapped the table. ”Do you know why you’re here?” ”Well clearly I’m in trouble for something, but I couldn’t tell you what for.” Their exchanges were always like this. Haru was getting himself into some kind of trouble, and his father was always the one to deal with him. Shigeki Enjo, the head of the Enjo clan’s disciplinary force. They acted sort of like most police forces, but they were strictly limited to enforcing rules within their own clan. The Enjo clan was typically the hotheaded of the Five Noble clans who worked closely to the Shogun. They knew as much, and took it upon themselves to regulate their kinsmen instead of having to cause any extra grief for their allies.

Fudoharu wasn’t exempt from the brash nature of the Enjo. In fact, he probably was the only one of the clan in the current era who was willing to go against the disciplinary force. That could be attributed to his father being the lead. Without warning, Shigeki reached across and smacked the top of Fudoharu’s head. ”Cut the s**t! I got another report coming across my desk of a clearing in the forest being razed to ashes.” ”Maybe it was just a wild fi-” ”The report shows evidence of it being from one of us. The damage showed clear signs of being related to our ‘Flames of Entropy.’ You were the culprit the last time this happened. What makes you think you can do this kind of s**t without consequence?” Silence fell between them, both being highly agitated at the presence of the other. His father took this opportunity to pull out a pack of cigarettes, placing one between his lips. Instead of a lighter, his father felt it necessary to display his clans bloodline any chance he got. As such, he flick his thumb upward, a small jet of orange flame igniting the end of his cigarette. A long drag, a cloud of smoke.

”What happened to you? You used to be such a good kid?” Haru smirked at the question. ”Do you want me to start at the beginning?” ”If you feel that’s necessary.” Internally, Shigeki knew his son was going to take it literally, just to irritate his father. Externally, he kept his mouth shut, he also knew that confronting his son about it before he had a chance to speak was going to get them nowhere. ”Well... Let’s see. As you know, I was born with you and mom as my parents. You were just starting in the dicipline force, mom was a stay at home wife with your son.”

Fudoharu paused, wondering if his father was going to interject. Nothing. Green light. ”I was a quiet kid, kept to myself mostly. I had a few friends, but I stayed inside and helped mom cook and clean instead of going out as much as the other kids. You would teach me the Enjo rules and about our bloodline when you got off work.” At this point, Shigeki was getting annoyed. ”Okay smartass, fast forward.” Another smirk from his son. Okay fine. A few years back, that damned cat wandered into town. OW!” Under the table, Teki, Haru’s pet lion, had taken offense at being called a cat and took it upon himself to bite his tamer’s toes. Teki often liked to sleep in his father’s office. He knew that Haru rarely ever found his way in there of his own accord. A vein popped in Haru’s forhead. ”Fine. That cuddly, adorable, completely awesome Lion walked into the town.” Gritted teeth couldn’t hide how annoyed he was at the cub. Teki thought that description was much better, and let go of Haru’s toes. Shigeki stifled a chuckle as the lion jumped into his lap, expecting to be petted. His father obliged.

”You all wanted to get rid of him, kick him back out to wherever he had come from, but for some reason I wanted to keep him. You didn’t think it was a good idea, but said that I could keep him so long as I took care of feeding and bathing him,” Teki stuck his tongue out at Haru. ”And now he prefers everyone BUT me.” ”So you’re acting out because you resent that Teki doesn’t like you?” ”You wish it was that simple. No, I just think it’s a good idea to get stronger.” ”You can do that without burning the forest down. You know that if you ever wanted to train, I’d be more than happy to show you some things.” Fudoharu sighed. He knew his father meant well, but the truth is, his father couldn’t show him what he wanted to learn. The clan was able to use three different types of flames, but Haru was the only one able to use two types at once. ”Dad, I’m practicing combining my flames.” Shigeki nodded with understanding.

”You know... You can still do that without doing a bunch of damage to the surrounding area. Everyone in the clan says you’re a prodigy, since you aren’t restricted to just one type of flame. All you’re doing when these reports come across my desk is ruining your reputation.” ”Well maybe they shouldn’t expect so much from me. After all, trying to train in this town is putting everyone at risk until I can learn precision control with my attacks.” Shigeki didn’t understand why he’d want precision. The Enjo were known for their widespread, devastating flame attacks. They were noted as the ones to leave entire areas in nothing more than cracked, dry dirt and ashes. Fudo didn’t want to be like that. He wanted to learn better control over his fire in order to limit the amount of destruction he output. After all, his goal was to hunt monsters. He wanted to use them to make new types of Tea that had never been tasted by the likes of man. A weird goal, but his family enjoyed their Tea, so it at least connected in some way.

”So what’s my punishment this time? Cleaning the whole village? Restoring the area I destroyed?” Shigeki smirked, knowing that Fudoharu had just let slip his guilt, but not mentioning it. He had won. ”No. The head of the Mahofu clan sent word to me the other day.” ”Mahofu clan? The guys who control the dead bodies? What did he want?” Out of all of the five Noble Clans, Mahofu was the one that Fudoharu knew the least about. He knew the story about the one man who conquered an entire army by himself, but anything further was a mystery. ”His daughter is getting married, I want you -” ”Noo.” ”To act as her -” ”Noooooo.” ”Bodyguard, until her wedding. That’s an order.” Fudoharu gave up. Regardless of how stubborn he could be, he was loyal to the Enjo clan. Anything his superiors directed as an order, he couldn’t refuse. A deep breath and a long sigh mirrored his father’s next drag of the cigarette. ”Fine, I guess I don’t have a choice. But you’re gonna hear from me every time I have a problem with it.”

Fudo stood from the table, using his own flames similarly to his father to burn the ropes from his wrists. He grabbed Teki by the scruff of his neck and stomped out of the room. ”If I have to go, you’re coming with me.” ”Meow?” Fudo returned to his room, packing his things and preparing to be sent to meet the princess, Sumire Mahofu.

                        • Entropic Cohesion :: Having found a newfound mastery of the Flames of Entropy, the Fudoharu is able to combine any of the two types of flame to enlist dual effects.
                        • Prodigal Embers :: Fudoharu exhibits the ability to perform Katon and Bloodline techniques without the need for performing hand seals. However, he can only do this using somatic gestures and wide ranges of hand and arm movements.
                        • Professional Hunter :: [+1] Custom Weapon.

Character: Fudoharu Enjo
Link to profile: [x]
Weapon Name: Tachi sora ga kireru [Grand Sword, Sky Severing; Sora for short]
Weapon Type: An enchanted Katana
Weapon Size: Typical Katana size. 28 inch blade, with a 10 inch hilt, for a total of 38 inches.
Weapon Weight: 1.3 kg
Description: The base form of Tachi Sora ga Kireru is that of a standard katana. The scabbard is black in color, with a grey and pink design towards the top that is seen as a skeleton smoking a cigarette. The guard is fairly simple, though it is colored pink, matching the color of the diamond pattern running up the black-bound hilt. There is a chain that connects from the guard to the pommel, adorning a series of charms. The charms resemble keys in rough shape but don't have any practical uses. Another charm is found around the scabbard, tied on by a black and pink cloth ribbon.
Ability Summary:
Tayō-ka Suru: Some of the fuuin used to craft the blade have imbued it with its own inlay of chakra storage, that can be activated at Fudoharu's discretion. By using an activation, this weapon is able to alter its shape and size to become a large broadsword. The hilt of the base weapon doubles in length, but retains the same color pattern, as well as losing the charms and chain. The blade becomes a crudely shaped cleaver, curving forward rather than back, while what should be the flat end takes on a serrated edge. The blade is 4 times as long as the hilt (which was already doubled in length, mind you) for a total length of 100 inches (80in blade, 20in hilt). However, despite the change in size, the weight remains the same, allowing for much easier use of such a large weapon.
Kite: Sora was crafted using powerful and strange fuuin techniques. By spending an activation, this weapon can be summoned from seemingly thin air for no chakra cost. The same technique allows for the weapon to be sent off to wherever it came from in a similar fashion. No one knows exactly where that is, including Fudoharu. However, each time he calls it, Sora appears shiny and new as if someone was cleaning and repairing it.

Character: Fudoharu Enjo
Technique Name: Neppa no Shinsei [Heatwave Divinity]
Rank: X [E-B]
Type: Bloodline
Element: Fire
Description: After performing the necessary hand seals, the user generates a pulse of heat from their body that expands 5 meters per rank of this technique. The effects of this pulse are dependent on the flame type the user has active at the time. This heatwave lasts for only 1 post.
Flames of Strength: A wave of pressure follows just behind the heat, pushing away loose debris at lower ranks, at ranks C and B, it is strong enough to push bodies several meters.
Flames of Entropy: Any projectiles that aren't being enhanced by chakra have their movements halted when coming into contact with this heat wave, if their rank is equal to or below the rank of this technique.
Flames of Conductivity: A fire technique cast after this heatwave (as a second activation) has its resource cost reduced by 5 per rank of this technique [minimum of 5]

Character: Fudoharu Enjo
Technique Name: Rakka Hibana [Falling Sparks]
Rank: D - B
Type: Bloodline
Element: Fire
Description: The user releases a plume of sparks from their hands that begin to fly at the intended target. More sparks are released at higher stages of this technique.
Flames of Strength: When the sparks make contact with a surface, they release a small explosion on impact.
Flames of Entropy: The sparks corrode the surface they hit, roughly an area the size of a senbon-point per spark.
Flames of Conductivity: When one spark makes contact, the other sparks are drawn to it, collecting into one flame, dealing substantial burn damage if not dealt with immediately.

Pain Tier's and Medical Assistance

The De-buff
With every instance of pain inflicted, 1 Debuff is placed upon the character. These debuffs provide a stamina drain once they reach [5] or higher, and will result in needing a level of Medical Attention depending on how many are stacked. If a character reaches 50 debuff's in a single fight, they are automatically placed into a Tier 4 Medical emergency. Outside of combat, debuffs remove themselves at the same latency rate as the Pain Tier that caused them, for Tier 1 and Tier 2 pain, up to a certain number. At Tier's 3 and 4, the debuffs are permanent until medical attention is given.

The latency period of the Pain tier is similar to a cool down. Upon the initial damage from the tier, a certain number of posts pass before another debuff is placed on the character. If the pain Tier isn't remedied before it reaches it's capacity, explained below, it progresses to the next Tier.

Debuff Stacks:
• [5] Stacks :: [-5] Stamina per post.
• [10] Stacks :: [-10] Stamina per post.
• [20] Stacks :: [-20] Stamina per post.
• [30] Stacks :: [-30] Stamina per post.
• [40] Stacks :: [-50] Stamina per post.
• [50] Stacks :: [-100] Stamina per post.

Pain
Notes: For every [3] Passive DR's in Fortitude, 1 post is added to the Latency period of Tier's 1,2, and 3. Tier 4 cannot add a latency period. Additionally, every [6] Passive DR's in fortitude add an additional [1] Stack to their capacity per body rank. Active Fortitude DR's do not apply any additional effects. Tier's do not deteriorate outside of combat. For example, once you reach Tier 2, you remain in Tier 2 unless the out of combat healing drops your stack count to [0]. E rank techniques do not give any Pain stacks.
    Tier 1
▰ Given by D rank techniques.
▰ Applies 1 stack per instance.
        ▰ 5 Post Latency Period.
▰ Tier 1 Medical Attention to fully heal.
▰ 10 Stacks can heal on their own outside of combat.
▰ 15 Stack Capacity, then progresses to Tier 2.

    Tier 2
▰ Given by C rank techniques.
▰ Applies 2 stacks per instance.
        ▰ 5 Post Latency Period.
▰ Tier 2 Medical Attention to fully heal.
▰ 5 Stacks can heal on their own outside of combat.
▰ 10 Stack capacity, then progresses to Tier 3.

    Tier 3
▰ Given by B rank techniques.
▰ Applies 3 Stacks per instance.
        ▰ 2 Post Latency Period.
▰ Tier 3 Medical Attention to fully heal.
▰ 6 Stack Capacity, then progresses to Tier 4.

    Tier 4
▰ Given by A-S Rank techniques.
▰ Applies 5 Stacks per instance.
        ▰ Triggers every post.
▰ Tier 3 Medical Attention to fully heal.

S+ Rank techniques give an immediate [20] Stacks, and place the person in Tier 4 upon the attack connecting. Is unaffected by Fortitude DR's.

Medical
    Tier 1
        ▰ 2 posts of healing.

    Tier 2
        ▰ 4 posts of healing.

    Tier 3
        ▰ 10 posts of healing.

    Tier 4
        ▰ 15 posts of healing.
▰ Only necessary for [50] Stacks of Pain debuffs.

__The Faded Flag:
Void Release (空遁, Kūton; “Void Release”) is the advanced nature Kekkei Genkai of the Saimoto clan, and allows the users to combine lightning- and wind-based chakra to create ethereal weapons that can be manipulated at will. The clan hails from the Land of Tea, where they serve as protectors to the Daimyou. The members of the Saimoto clan usually enjoy the many wonderful teas of their homeland when they have any down time, and often will invite enemy generals to try to settle disputes with the least amount of violence possible. Clan members have preferred not to get involved in fights of vengeance or aggression, choosing instead to be very passive in their approach to combat. They will fight when necessary—and show great skill when doing so—but it is not something they actively seek.

• All Kūton users have Raiton [ Lightning ] and Fuuton [ Wind ] as Chakra elements.
• All Kūton users learn 1 extra Raiton [ Lightning ] and Fuuton [ Wind ] jutsu per post.
• All Kūton users are capable of performing techniques with a single hand.
• Kūton techniques give off a very faint glow that makes them slightly visible in darkness.
• Kūton techniques are always visible to Dōjutsu.
• All Kūton techniques may be retrained once to allow their deliberate misuse, inverting the effects of the techniques. Techniques so inverted that result in a net gain of Chakra in the area affected also cause debilitating physical pain on par with breaking a major bone to all involved.
• Empty Flask: All members of the Saimoto clan gain [ 40 ] Chakra and [ 20 ] Stamina.
• If a Saimoto clan member ever fights for vengeance, he/she permanently loses all access to Kūton techniques and loses the Chakra and Stamina gains granted by it. Additionally, it becomes impossible to use implants of any kind, and the member’s cells can no longer be used in transplants. No Jutsu can overcome this.

Munashii Kaihō [ Vacant Release ]
Rank: B
Official Description: At the user’s command, all of the user’s Kūton techniques can only be interacted with by up to three people of the user’s choosing. This includes physical interactions only, but if cast at S-Rank it also becomes immune to unfamiliar Chakra signatures. Can be undone at any time for no cost by the user, causing all techniques to once more affect everyone in their radius.
Guild Description: See official description.

___Techniques:
Munashii Bunshin no Jutsu [ Vacant Clone Technique ]
Rank: E
Official Description: Creates a faint, wispy version of a clone. It functions as a normal intangible clone, but it is much fainter and very difficult to see. Can pass through thin physical barriers such as screens and standard doors.
Guild Description: See official description.

Taizenjijaku [ Presence of Mind ]
Rank: E
Official Description: Attaches a nearly invisible wisp of Chakra to one touched person or object. This can be used to impart the user’s Chakra signature to someone for the purposes of interacting with Void Release techniques. Lasts until targeted with an E-Rank Kai.
Guild Description: See official description.

Kūton: Shunpo [ Void Release: Flash Step ]
Rank: D
Official Description: Momentarily coats the user’s body in Kūton Chakra, allowing him/her to move up to one meter almost instantaneously. Can only be used five times per battle.
Guild Description: See official description.

Tekizen [ In the Presence of the Enemy ]
Rank: D
Official Description: Shrouds the user in a faint mist that extends out ten feet away from the user in every direction. This mist gives information on the location of anything in it, though it does not offer any information beyond general size and body type. Lasts for five of the user’s posts.
Guild Description: See official description.

Kumikaeru [ To Reset ]
Rank: C
Official Description: The user lays his/her hands on a part of the target’s body (torso, head, a limb, etc.) and coats it in a sheet of Kūton Chakra. The Chakra will coat the body part evenly before sinking into it. Any closed Tenketsu will be opened, and any excess Kūton Chakra will spread out through the body part and pool in wounds and bruises, greatly accelerating healing techniques targeted in those areas as the healing Chakra will be drawn toward the Kūton Chakra.
Guild Description: See official description.

Kūben [ Void Whip ]
Rank: C
Official Description: Creates an ethereal whip that lasts for five of the user’s posts, though for [ 5 ] extra Chakra it can be made into a weapon up to the size of a halberd. This technique does no physical damage and can only be stopped by something containing Chakra, but any techniques currently in effect in its swing arc are disrupted, provided they are C-Rank or lower. If a person has a technique prepared but is not using it when struck by any part of the weapon—including being struck on armor or a held object—the preparation is nullified and he/she loses [ 5 ] Chakra per rank of the prepared technique.
Guild Description: See official description.

Kūdama [ Void Bullet ]
Rank: C
Official Description: Launches a spiraling ball of Kūton Chakra in a direction designated by the user. Whenever this technique comes into contact with something—be it physical or comprised of Chakra—it explodes with a blast radius of five meters. This technique does no physical damage, but any techniques currently in effect in the blast radius are disrupted, provided they are C-Rank or lower. If a person has a technique prepared but is not using it when the blast hits, the preparation is nullified and he/she loses [ 5 ] Chakra per rank of the prepared technique.

Guild Description: See official description.

Kūton: Shunshin [ Void Release: Body Flicker ]
Rank: C
Official Description: Transports the user to a location up to one mile away that he/she can sense with Chakra. During this movement, the user becomes an ethereal mist and does not interact with any of the intermittent material. Counts as one use of Shunshin no Jutsu.
Guild Description: See official description.

Hoketsu [ Filling the Vacancy ]
Rank: B
Official Description: This Jutsu functions like Kūdama, with one major difference: instead of disrupting techniques, it drains [ 40 ] Chakra from the person with the most Chakra and transfers it to the person with the least amount of Chakra. Will not give someone more than maximum Chakra, and any excess is dispersed into the atmosphere. If only one person is in the blast radius, that person loses [ 40 ] Chakra.
Guild Description: See official description.

Hyoujin [ Glistening Sword ]
Rank: B
Official Description: Coats a weapon of the user’s choice in Kūton Chakra. This allows the weapon to ignore inorganic material and allows it to deal damage to Chakra-based techniques as if they were solid. Lasts for 8 of the user’s posts. Cannot pass through weapons and armor influenced by Chakra, but will do damage to the technique. Each strike against a technique with a set duration reduces that technique’s duration by one post, and it destroys techniques that have unstated durations or durations of two posts or less. Permanent techniques are not affected by this technique.
Guild Description: See official description.

Munashii Watashi [ Vacant Me ]
Rank: B
Official Description: Turns the user ethereal for six of his/her posts. While ethereal, the user is not affected by any kind of physical barriers or attacks, and is unaffected by Ninjutsu or Genjutsu under B-Rank. Likewise, the user cannot use any type of technique other than Fuuinjutsu—provided the user has access to the proper seal—and healing techniques. If the user exits—voluntarily or involuntarily—the ethereal state while inside of something, he/she is shoved to the nearest available space and cannot use Chakra- or Stamina-consuming techniques for twenty of his/her posts.
Guild Description: See official description.

Hotokeshou [ Buddha Nature ]
Rank: A
Official Description: A technique that uses Kūton Chakra to extract the void within someone or something, causing them to become supernaturally “whole” or “present”. This causes non-Kūton, non-healing, Chakra-based techniques to veer away from the target, though it also acts as a homing beacon for Kūton techniques and vastly increases the effectiveness of healing Ninjutsu by applying the effects to the target’s entire body. This technique lasts for ten of the target’s posts, during which time all will feel compelled to gaze upon the target.
Guild Description: See official description.

Kuromaku [ Black Curtain ]
Rank: X [ Trained as A-Rank ]
Official Description: A ten meter radius blast of Kūton Chakra centered on the user. The user pays a base cost of 10 Chakra, and for each [ 10 ] Chakra used in the technique the user can create the effect of one Kūton: Shunpo, usable by anyone in the area. This effect lasts for four of the user’s posts before dispersing.
Guild Description: See official description.

Tekishutsu [ Extraction ]
Rank: A
Official Description: Launches a small, highly dense ball of Kūton Chakra that explodes with a blast radius of fifteen meters after coming within one meter of anything either physical or Chakra-based. Everything up to twenty-five meters away from the center of the explosion is pulled ten meters toward it suddenly and violently, and everything within the initial blast radius is drained of [ 40 ] Chakra. The technique persists without its inward pull for one post for every [ 40 ] Chakra drained, and every time a multiple of [ 80 ] Chakra is consumed, the inward pull occurs once more.
Guild Description: See official description.

Kudashi [ Evacuation ]
Rank: S
Official Description: Immediately pulls [ 80 ] Chakra out of everything in a thirty meter long, five meter diameter circular blast in a direction the user points. If more than [ 160 ] Chakra is extracted this way, the user turns ethereal for a number of his/her posts equal to one per [ 80 ] Chakra and one additional post per death resulting from the use of this technique, thereby becoming able to pass through all physical barriers.
Guild Description: See official description.

Shukketsu [ Presence or Absence ]
Rank: S
Official Description: Once used, a mist of Kūton Chakra spreads out from the user in a twenty meter radius, allowing accurate sensing of minute details. If retrained for inversion, this technique turns the user ethereal, thereby allowing the user to walk through physical barriers, and renders all sensory techniques useless against the user. However, in this state, the user may not interact directly with anything physical. Lasts for five of the user’s posts, with a [ 20 ] Chakra upkeep cost for every post thereafter.
Guild Description: See official description.

Kokūzō [ The Receptacle of Void ]
Rank: S+
Official Description: Sends out a wave of Kūton Chakra that negates all active Chakra effects in a twenty meter radius around the user. For ten of the user’s posts after its activation, no one may use any non-Kūton techniques in this area.
Guild Description: See official description.

Chiisana Clan:
Many years ago, there was a shinobi who was jealous of the Akimichi clans ability to grow their bodies, who set out to try and recreate their hidan technique out of spite. The result was deemed a failure. Instead of enlarging his body, he shrunk. However, he refused to accept this failure, and continued to modify and perfect the technique until it was its own powerhouse technique. A few years later, Chibiton was an officially recognized kekkei genkai. The Chiisana clan learned how to use their small size to their advantage, and over time the focus of the technique was less about changing their size and more about using the pressure of their condensed form to their advantage.

The stronger this clan got, the more outcast they became. The villages saw them as a crime against nature, and they were cast out. They became merchants, traveling from town to town and selling various goods, trading to restore their stock. With each town, their band of tiny misfits grew. With each new member, new techniques were slowly integrated into the core functions of Chibiton until it metamorphosed into what it is today. With recent events, villages began to accept Chibiton back into their ranks, accepting their business in order to strengthen village economy and even allowing their children to become shinobi after witnessing their abilities in action.

Notes:

• Being in Chibi form does not change your physical strength, speed, or any other stats. The pressure of your body being condensed so heavily augments the tiny size to have your normal level of stats unless otherwise stated.
• Must be of either Jack or Worker class.
• While in Chibi Form, the user gains a slight DR increase in a chosen stat per body rank.
• Chibi users can learn a Maximum of 3 Taijutsu styles.
• The size of all the user's techniques in Chibi form scale with their bodies. The smaller they are, the smaller the scale of their techniques.
• The power of a users techniques do not change.
• All Chibiton techniques are considered to be Maruton while in Chibi form for learning and using purposes.
• If using a Chibiton technique in normal form, their standard nature applies as usual, and requires the user have that nature transformation as their chakra element(s).
• Chibiton users cannot be of the Tamer or Puppeteer class.

Optional PA's:

Tiny Specialist :: Can go between normal and Chibi forms without spending Chakra, but costs an activation instead.
A Little Goes a Long Way :: Techniques of S rank cast in Chibi form are considered Overwhelming. Additionally, S+ rank techniques become S rank and are treated as Overwhelming. This is not optional, and the costs of the S rank techniques are [1.5x] due to Overwhelming Trait.
Microscopic Storage :: Maruton techniques are treated as Bloodline Techniques up to A Rank, and no longer require slots to learn.

After practicing his skills as a craftsman, Shinji Ketsueki opened up an artisan shop in order to sell his wares and do some public service. He isn't very well known throughout the village, but other Weapon Smiths claim that his skills with molding a weapon are on par with seasoned artisans, even at his young age. For now the shop is only open for crafting weapons; however, a sign in the shop promises more possibilities to come in the future.

Instead of RPing in here, you can also choose to leave a basic note of what you are wanting crafted. This serves as a receipt, and must contain all of the information pertaining to your crafting request. Please note that retrieving the materials and the crafting process might take a couple of days, but anything longer than that and I will contact you directly to let you know.
