Terasath glimpsed another clump, and made towards it. The direction was off, but Ophina focused, steadying her grip as she took aim. With a short and precise blast, she followed through, searing the Thread as it passed by.

22-25. Thread! As you dive towards it, you find yourself missing the Thread completely! It tangles and writhes onto your dragon's front leg and shoulder! Shaffit all! Moderate Damage! -5 HP Saved by Ezyzu & Gold Khamaith here.

Another clump evaded the Wings above, and as Terasath dove down, Ophina realised with a sharp gasp that they were approaching too quickly. Terasath, pull up! With a frantic backwards sweep of her wings, Terasath did her best.

Khamaith! The breathless name was half request, half mark of surprise, for the other Queen had come to the rescue before the tangle consumed them. Ophina waved her gratefulness as the other pair flamed the patch to ash.

Thank you so much! <3

It was fortunate that they had been spared a bad encounter with Thread, for it allowed Terasath to maintain her focus. She glimpsed another stray patch of Thread and angled herself towards it, accounting for the wind. Ophina blasted the Thread with, perhaps, a little more verve than necessary.

On our left! Kleoth called, giving Phryana ample time to turn and incinerate the writhing strand before it could fall and hurt anyone below. Nice and easy so far, but neither dragon or rider allowed themselves to grow complacent. They were still in for for a long time yet, and luck could change in an instant.

Things were quiet... extremely quiet. Naturally, that was a good thing, but Kleoth yearned for something to fight. She hoped everything was going well and even contemplated checking in with her siblings to make sure they were alright. Best to not distract them. Phryana reminded gently, though she knew Kleoth would never intentionally be so careless. The queen sighed a bit wistfully though. Poor Yaguareth was still grounded, and Felisath was incredibly quick and nimble... Things would be fine.

26-28. Well, not much is happening. Either the Wings are doing their job, or things are mighty quiet. You know your thoughts shouldn't wander or stray.... but you look away for a moment, stretching your neck, and resettling yourself on your dragons back. Unfortunately, things happen quickly. Your dragon lets out a shriek of pain as you're hit with Thread! You hadn't seen it fall from behind, too far back from where your dragon could see. Roll a D4 for Damage!

3. Thankfully, it's not as bad as you thought. It burns and hurts, but it served more as a warning than anything else. Minor Damage -4 HP

Just like that, the quiet came to violent end. Phryana had been shifting carefully, trying to relieve an ache in her neck and not paying attention to her surroundings. She felt it when the Thread hit Kleoth's hindquarters, like fire blooming across her skin. Her dragon roared with anger and pain, and Phryana swore as she directed Kleoth Between.

I'm alright. The queen was quick to reassure her once they were back. She pressed her lips into a grim line, furious that her dragon had been injured due to her inattention. They were lucky it had only been a minor injury. She'd do better in the future.

Hold tight, my love! Kleoth warned before she folded her mighty wings, diving like the predator she was after a clump of Thread that had managed to streak past them. Phryana crouched low against her neck, her pulse thundering with adrenaline as her dragon swooped close enough for her to successfully burn the Thread into ash.

Pemli was glad that the first part of the hour had gone well for her and Ningesth. She kept her focus going though, which was a good thing when she saw a clump of Thread. She had Ningesth head towards it and as soon as she was in range, she got her flame thrower in position and burned it. She watched as it became harmless ash with a sigh of relief.

Beautiful work, Mine. I knew you had it handled,Ningesth complimented proudly.

Pemli could feel Ningesth was getting tired, but knew her gold would not admit to it. She was hoping that her dragon would be given a chance to rest for a moment. Unfortunately, that didn't happen as the wind picked up and tried to toss them out of formation. And it succeeded in it, causing her gold to fight against the wind with everything she had.

Stupid wind, it is going to pay for this,Ningesth growled as she did her best to recover. She had to wait for the wind to die down, before she could get back into formation. She was tired, but she was not going to show it..though she knew her rider knew.

Pemli turned her head this way and that, making sure nothing was coming their way. Her neck was hurting from all the movement, but she had to make sure nothing happened. She could feel her gold restless under her, wishing they could be doing more right now. The young woman was glad for a moment for them to breathe, especially after Ningesth just pulled a wing muscle.

I am fine, Mine, don't worry. I have dealt with worse, the gold reminded.

Between the wind and Thread, I wonder what wants my anger first, the gold huffed.

Easy love, I will make sure Thread answers for that, she soothed.

Pemli could feel the nudge from Ningesth as the gold saw a strand out of the corner of her eye. Not this time, the gold rider thought as she twisted in her straps and aimed her flamethrower at the strand. Then she let the fire rip, watching it take care of the strand.

Perfect Mine, the gold cheered, watching it become harmless ash.
