Panioth gave a snarl of pain, as he crunched down on his tongue. The taste of ichor and phosphor have him shaking his head, trying to get feeling back in his poor tongue.

N'den made sure his brown had a full belly of flame before they left the weyr. Almost as soon as they had arrived they were in the thick of things. Constant flaming and feeding more firestone had a rhythm going; when they broke into a small clearing Belengath blinked a bit in surprise. Upper wings have it handled. Get ready, there's more.

Another break came in the fall, and Belengath turned his head back to his rider. I need more firestone.Geez, already?I am flaming a lot.I know, I know. Here. N'den pitched a large-ish piece into his dragon's maw. He didn't think about the grinding sound he heard, until Belengath gave out a painful squeal. He knew what that meant and winced. Poor boy.

Belengath was super focused on thread falling from above and the sides that he didn't notice a clump being blown up upon the wind. He skipped forward, but his tail still got singed and he roared in pain. That hurt!Can you keep going?Yes, the brown growled.

The quoted wingmate can remove that damage, unless they have already returned to the Weyr for healing or are already playing out a KO'd scenario.

Slow down! Li'tt reminded Vuurth, though the damage had already been done. His own mouth tingled sympathetically, or out of solidarity, and Vuurth was huffing and whining already. Hey! That wasn't firestone! Owwwwww, Li'ttttttt...

Vuurth was so distracted by his tongue he didn't even notice, at least not at first, when the Thread chewed at his wing. Fortunately, Li'tt did and pushed them between - but Li'tt was also pretty sure he was being such a baby about his tongue that the damage hadn't even really been registered.

Good catch, Vuurth! Li'tt praised his sore-mouthed dragon, who didn't even take the time to appreciate his good work. He simply patted the blue's shoulder and urged him further on.

4/5 As you're flying, the wind picks up again, trying to knock you out of formaiton! If 23' to 35', you're able to fight it, but wind up pulling a wing muscle. Whoops. Maybe you over-compensated. -4 HP
The near push from position made Vuurth rile with offense - Hey! he huffed, even as he pushed himself, with some strain, back into position. In fact, he was so annoyed about it his tongue was all but forgotten - for now.

5/5 As you're flaming down some Thread, a gust of wind suddenly pushes the remaining cloud back at you and your dragon. You've no choice but to blink Between to avoid it, and appear higher up, missing the clump. The rest of the thread falls down towards the lower altitude. [+1 Between Accuracy]
It was a quick thought - one that Vuurth wanted to protest (he had a lot of Thread to flame in revenge for his tongue, not that it was related at all) - but one that was relented to anyways without much fighting. It was a clean jump at least, and Li'tt sighed with relief.

Flying on, Turoth gave a snarl of pain as a little bit of Thread caught in his wingsail. He and Ar'ad jumped Between with practiced ease, freezing the Thread from him, and upon their return he belched out hot flame in retaliation. It was always the smallest ones that seemed to hurt the most!

"Turoth!" Ar'ad called out, spotting a huge ball of Thread that was falling much faster than normal. Turoth caught sight of it just in time, flaming it down with an expertly timed flame.

Just as the large ball of Thread was destroyed a smaller clump, light enough to float on the wind, brushed up against Turoth's tail. They pair jumped Between, but when they emerged the spot still stung a bit.
"Sorry," Ar'ad apologized. "I'll be sure to keep an eye out beneath us too."
