The delicate green continued to fight, dancing between patches, and doing her best. L'tia tried hard to keep himself from worrying, from fretting, but it was difficult to shoulder such a burden, knowing that the loss of loved ones was practically promised.

Unfortunately, such distraction came with a price.

A strong gust of wind had the green scrambling to remain in position--but a tangle was thrown right into her face. Neither of them had known the danger until it was too late. Giving a squeal of pain, the green shook and bucked, wanting the Thread off.

"Between!!" L'tia shouted, grabbing onto the first safe set of coordinates he could think of.

By the time they appeared above High Reaches, the cold had killed the worst of Thread. Alihath creeled piteously, but appeared to be able to see. Let me see, baby. Turn your head back here. The man encouraged, even as his fair of flits warbled concern and circled about them both, yellow-eyed with fear.

An inspeciton, along with Alihath's assurances, was enough to satisfy the man. There was no need for a healer...yet. "It's going to hurt, but let me know if we need to get it doused in numbweed and redwort."

I am all right, Mine. I... I think it looks worse than it is. It surprised me more than hurt me, thankfully.

L'tia wasn't entirely convinced, but he would monitor her condition. If anything changed for the worse, he'd take her straight to the Healers. All right. Let's get back to our Wing.

The flare of pain from his tongue caught between his teeth wasn't entirely how he had wanted to start this fall. But he's blinking between little flares of pain, already missing his wallow as he leans back to get a mouthful of firestone once more -- and hopefully he could keep his tongue out of the matter.

With pain flaring in his mouth, Diardith hadn't quite noticed when a clump of thread had drifted to close. It burns into his hide, and Zexear is quick to nudge the coordinates to safety as he's swatting clumps of frozen thread off himself and his dragon's neck.

At least his mouth hurt less, by comparison.

High Altitude wasn't his favorite to fly, and for good reason. Thread was everywhere, and though his instinct and drive to fight were strong, the winds were stronger. It wraps around his leg fiercely, biting in and sending the brown between at his rider's insistent nudge.

It strikes around his chest, and there's a blinding moment of panic as Zexear sends them to the safety of between -- almost shaking as he reaches out to Diardith.

I'm fine.. Though it's an almost pained wheeze that accompanies the reassurance.

The trumpets of alarmed dragons didn't stop Diardith from immediately trying to correct himself as the winds buffeted him out of formation. He's aching in places that he didn't even know he had, but he can care about that later. His mind is on his ledge at home, exhausted so early on.

It was a quiet moment that Mesikath took full advantage of. He swiveled his head taking in he airspace, making up for the blind void in his one eye. It paid to be calculated in a moment's lull, to use whatever advantage they could muster together.

A particularly irritating gale blew Mesikath from his course. With a firm nudge from B'jor he fights the wind, feeling every inch of the crawl back to his formation.

the fatigue from the gale that just rolled into him persisted, the winds feeling heavy against his large wings. He focused on chewing stone, belching flame instead of the stabbing arche as he let his muscles recover a moment.

With a great flap of his wings Mesikath moved far more agilely than one would anticipate for a dragon of his size. He caught stone easily, broiling a patch of threat before it could rain down any lower.

A particularly large sheet of thread wafted into Mesikath's direction. B'jor was mostly unscathed. Mesikath took a hit to his shoulder, with a fearsome bellow he took the coordinates between to kill the thread, and emerging taking stock of his damge.

All of the ducking and weaving during Threadfall admittedly sometimes made Karinne wish she had a flamethrower of her own - not that they weren't simply in the hands of the people who really needed them, but outside of another pair of eyes she wasn't doing much.

Correct, nothing at all, Hrimnith jabbed - much to her offense. Karinne laughed. Absolutely nothing.

Though not getting hit was nice.
