Claire-Aurore Malekhi Scotty_The_Bartender The meaning of life is forty-two. rofl rofl rofl i have seen that movie.. Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galexy, right? crying It's a book by Douglas Adams and it's really quite an amazing read both in humor in some of the interesting questions some of what he writes brings up. But mostly just in the humor 3nodding You can't call the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy just humorous or funny. It is a maasterpiece of wit and written in a clever manner. I'm not a die hard fan, I just know good literature when I see it. The ideas are very original. Back to the question, the meaning of life: to define what your own original meaning to live is and to complete it.

To me, there can't be just one Meaning of Life. There are many things that are alive in this universe, and all of them have different paths to take. Everyone has their own Meaning of Life, some may be the same, but mostly, everyone's is different.

The meaning of life is happiness. Purpose is entirely different and varies on a person-to-person basis.
But to be honest, everything you choose to do is for your own benefit. Life is a selfish venture even if we are selfless.

The meaning of life is to live. The reason we're given choice is to choose. Take life for what it is. Live how you will, we'll live like we will, and if we oppose: so be it. It's meant to be then. Destiny will manifest. No one has the authority to say what it is for sure, though. So take life for what it is; live as often as possible, laugh when you can, learn as much as availible and some well-timed nice-ness doesn't hurt, either.
"ashes to ashes, dust to dust, living is optional, dying's a must." (me mrgreen )

my friend says, "the meaning of life is candy!!! and cake mmmmm hell yes"
ok i find not much meaning beyond living for my friends and family....otherwise...there is really not much more than that....death is not something to really fear so why not prolong it unless you do find someone or thing to care about and enthatuate yourself with...to discover and love and cherish...otherwise life would have no meaning what so ever and there would probably many deaths across the world...which is something that i would not want...i find that most people find a temporary something/one early one and discover their real someone/thing later on when they have grown up....anyways...my words are meaningless...hope you have a nice day...

I don't think that there is a meaning to life, we humans just want to feel like we're important.
I'm Christian and I'm probably going to hell for saying that. sweatdrop

I think each individual decides that for themself. Some people might find meaning to there life through helping society while others might find meaning to their life in becoming the best at what they do. I believe that You're given a life and it is your choice what to do with it, yada.

At its core, life has no purpose other than to exsist. Like any species of animals, humans are driven to reproduce. This happens over and over again and won't stop until something catastrophic happens. On the off chance we don't all die, we will hopefully find a way to branch off into space abandoning our dieing planet. Exsistence is in its self a purpose, for we are something unique in the universe. And to lose something Unique would be a tragidy.

wow...some of you have relatively meaningless lives. sad
for me, the meaning of life is to get as close to God as i possibly can.
and no, not in a creepy stalker way, but in an i-want-to-be-a-good-person kind of way.
