Obtained-I obtained Zei through the August 07 Quest Charity Raffle. I ended up winning the raffle and got my quest custom form completed by endejester.

Personality-Zei is very confident and outgoing. However, he is so confident in himself that it becomes arrogance. He is boastful of his abilities and he loves to win. When he was younger, he enjoyed bragging about his wins or about himself; but, after discovering that he had hurt others with his talk he tries not to be as over the top about it.

History-Zei grew up with his mom and two of his sisters, Allania and N'llorre. Ana (his eldest sister), by this time, had already left the family home and went to travel the world. She was supposed to come home to visit but she didn't. Zei's foal hood was happy, his mother spoiled him as did friends of hers. His family lived in a herd, a strange herd in that it consisted of mostly females with daughters. Zei was the only colt born at the time and they all expected him to later become the protector, to replace the older males that had since occupied the spot. Zei grew overly confident with how he was treated; however, he didn't think much on the responsibility that this position required. But, he never did get to be protector. His mother took him and his sisters down to the beach for a couple of days, none of them had seen the beach before and Zei and his sisters enjoyed it. The day ended badly though, as while Zei and his sisters were playing in the sand, his mother went off to find berries for them for a treat. The foals waited for a long time before searching for their mother. Allania found her first and told her younger siblings to stay back. Zei ignored her and looked for himself and wished he hadn't afterwards because his mother lay dead. It had looked like she had slipped and fallen.

The three of them tried to find their way back to the herd but couldn't. Instead an elderly couple came across them, taking them in and caring for them as they grew. The foals wanted to go back home but the couple didn't know of any herd living nearby. Allania ended up leaving them when she felt she was strong enough to do so, determined to find their herd or father. Zei stayed with the couple and his younger sister, liking the area and the few families that lived nearby. When the elderly couple passed on, it was just Zei and N'llorre then and still they stayed. But, Zei grew irritated by this. The elderly couple were the ones to raise N'llorre and without them, Zei was expected to take over that role. He didn't want to though, he wanted to go off and explore and have fun. He was still very cocky and he wasn't the most responsible stallion. He was quite immature and when a dainty mare showed up one autumn day, stating that she was a relative and had been looking for them for ages, Zei showed her N'llorre, still a foal. The mare mentioned that she was willing to take care of N'llorre while Zei was away and he took the opportunity, leaving his sister even though she was upset by this.

He came to the Kawani Lands and ended up meeting Rain Curl. He wanted to stay at her teepee with her human but she didn't let him, citing that she had a filly to take care and didn't have time to take care of another child. Zei, highly affronted by her comments, went and traveled alone for awhile, meeting others from time to time but those relationships didn't last long. During winter, Zei met a young mare, Mireille, and they grew close. She didn't put up with his attitude, she was extremely blunt and he loved her in time (she did too). He later found out she was the unknown filly Rain Curl had been caring for. They currently live in a forest near a waterfall, where they ended up raising five sons. Growing older, Zei has thought about his lost siblings, especially N'llorre. He knows now he should have never left without her. He's recently told Mireille about his family and though she was greatly upset with him, she also wants to help him find his family. They've discussed leaving their home and trying to find them but so far haven't done so.
