Tesei Utakata The electricity would hit Tesei and course through his shell, projecting a massive stream of electricity from his main horn into the sky. Which certainly signaled his elimination from the battle, and looked pretty impressive at the same time. Simply staring for a moment before letting out a low whistle, Reno opened another Pokeball to unleash the horror upon the battlefield. The horror of...a Wynaut spinning on its head with its tongue stuck out. Breathing in with a renewed sense of the area and a strange presence from the balding man he was battling, Reno awaited the next opposing Pokemon.
"Ho ho! Another draw, will it ever be anything else?" Blaine laughed as he recalled his defeated horse. "With just two Pokemon left a piece I suppose we should both up the ante...though I debate whether or not you are doing so or hoping I'll underestimate your little blue one." The gym leader said as he eyed the Wynaut, spinning his next Pokeball around in his hand. "Don't worry, I never underestimate an opponent, just like a riddle!" He laughed and tossed the ball onto one of the pillars.
"Zaaard!" Roared the fiery dragon as it appeared from its ball, flapping its wing proudly as embers flickered forward from its tail. "Here comes the heat my friend! Flamethrower!" Blaine called out. The artificial sun the room was still lingering, however it was beginning to fade. Regardless it was still empowering Blaine's fire moves, especially for Charizard who seemed to be collecting energy from the sun, its wings giving off a faint glow and its tail flame becoming larger.
With a savage roar, Charizard would unleash a massive stream of fire at the Wynaut, such a blast of flames that made even Overheats look small. It was obvious that the sun was powering that dragon in more than one way. Wynaut may not be staying around for long. |

Tesei Utakata Ezekiel would repeat his boosting dark thoughts, empowering him even more as he sat amidst the flames of the Flamethrower. Time was running short, but it seemed like it might get more active soon.
"Well this is a shame." Blaine sighed. "Come on now Charizard, you can get through this riddle, can't ya? At least try to go down with a blaze of fiery glory. Try to use Ancientpower." Blaine called out to his Pokemon.
Charizard could feel the great power coming from the Houndoom, its strength had increased greatly since it had been so wrapped up in its inflated ego. As the dragon heard its master, he realized he was letting some pup make a fool out of it. How dare they step all over the nobility of a proud fire dragon? They will pay for this, they will both pay!
"Char!" Charizard roared as the volcano began to rumble, chi beginning to surge outward from Charizard's body. The Pokemon hadn't really expended much energy in this entire battle so it had plenty to give, actually it felt like the dragon was putting everything it had into this one attack, this would be bad.
Lava would begin to spew up from the pool below and Charizard would take flight, going as high as it could to avoid what was about to happen. Globs of lava would freeze in midair at random intervals. From their floating position they would gain a rainbow aura and quickly harden. The harden lava would then fly towards Ezekiel from all different angles, looking like meteors with rainbow tails as they did. Charizard would keep up the assault until it couldn't do it anymore, be it from becoming exhausted or getting knocked down. |

Reno stared between the Charizard and Blaine, unsure exactly how he might take this one. While Ezekiel might be powerful enough to melt most of the rocks, he would be left defenseless to most of the barrage. The one thing he did have that might be able to negate a good portion of the attack was too weak to melt the rocks before they could hit. Reaching the foregone conclusion, Reno let out an exasperated sigh before finally fiddling with his SNAG. Inside his bag and mounted in the shadow of Ezekiel's skull crest, two small lights began to shine before bursting into rainbow color. The rainbow light would surround the Houndoom and empower him, leaving him more powerful and in an entirely new state than before. "I wanted ta save it, but it looks like I gotta use it a lil early. Ezekiel, Fire Spin! Try and melt that rock down!"
The newly Mega Evolved Houndoom would scoff at the plan of attack, but went with it anyway, breathing out a torrent of flame that quickly began to swirl around him in an tornado of fire. The Ancientpower would smash into the firestorm and the rocks would either be melted back into the lava they had been originally or at least reduced in size before impact. While this didn't stop the attack from battering Ezekiel around, it saved him from grievous injury by flying rock that might make the next battle more challenging.
The Fire Spin would cease its swirling and whirling around the Houndoom as the flames were cut off and the hot air from the lava below pushed the whole spinning construct to an inevitable destruction against the stone ceiling. Spying the now exhausted Charizard, Ezekiel would wait a moment to collect some energy before firing off a Dark pulse at the flying dragon-ish Pokemon. While it was weaker due to being so close behind the massive Fire Spin, it would hopefully be enough to knock it out.

And down went the mighty dragon, beginning to fall towards the open pit of lava below them, Blaine quick to recall the Pokemon began to made contact. Fire type or not, Charizard wouldn't last long in pure molten rock. "A Mega Houndoom, amazing. I've heard of them but never seen one for myself. You have solved the ultimate riddle of Houndoom! You have my admiration. I can't wait to see what a Mega Fire Pokemon is capable of doing. But for now, the fight must go on! The riddle of who shall win is left unsolved! Ho ho ho!" Blaine laughed.
After stashing Charizard's Pokeball, the gym leader would take out his last one and simply toss it into the lava below. Ordinarily there was no way a Pokeball would survive in lava, but this one seemed unique as it went under the lava, a faint flash of light going off before the ball began to fly back up out of the lava, Blaine allowing it to just sit at his feet for now.
"So tell me, what did I release? Any guesses? This is not a hard quiz, ho ho ho! Use Confuse Ray!" Blaine shouted, balls of light soon shooting up out of the lava and exploding into dazzling flashes of light once they rose up to the pillars that was the battlefield. Mega Houndoom was powerful, but could it force a Pokemon out of lava?

Looking over to the Gym Leader, Reno gave a small smile. It was nice that he could show the man some form of Fire type he had never seen, and help him see a little more crazy stuff. Loony old man deserved something completely insane to deal with. Well, he felt nice about everything until whatever Blaine threw out next launched a Confuse Ray from within the lava. Great. Now he had to get whatever it was out of the water or do something to it. And....looking to Ezekiel, he could see the Houndoom was not going to able to do any precise aiming for whatever was swimming down there. Staring at the area, Reno found himself focusing on the massive pillars that stood throughout the battlefield. "Well, I don't think his aim is any good right now, but no need fer that. Ezekiel, fire a Dark Pulse at the base of a pillar!" Reno commanded, having finished his own vocalized thoughts. The Mega Houndoom would drunkenly respond to the order, firing off a massive Dark Pulse in the general direction of some of the pillars. The blast, while not aimed well, would impact one of the pillars higher up than commanded, blasting a large hole into the piece of rock and sending it toppling towards the ground, Toxic Spikes glistening on top to help add to the destruction possible. Ezekiel would not escape the blast entirely a a few chunks of rock hit the Mega Houndoom.

"Mag!" Roared the creature in the lava as the pillar disturbed its position, the Magmortar jumping out of the lava to avoid the falling pillar, the Toxic Spikes managing to scrap its body, giving it a bit of a poisonous infection. "Oh ho! Clever! But this battle is far from over, my friend. Powerful you are, but let's see if you can even use that power for now! Smog!" Blaine commanded.
Magmortar, now out of the lava and standing on the fallen pillar, would take in a deep breath and allow his gut to swell. Once Magmortar looked rather pudgy, it would unleash the poisonous smog it had collected in its lung with a belch, the cloud of smog quickly filling the chamber up with the black smoke. |

The explosion didn't harm Magmortar, at all. Sure, it flung some lava on it but how was that going to hurt a Pokemon that was lava? Any who... "Well then, that was a good show ole boy!" Blaine laughed as he looked down at the pit of lava below them. "Guess this battle was taken down a level. I hope your doggy doesn't fall into the lava, I don't think you'll get it back in one piece. Magmortar, Earthquake!" Blaine laughed, the gym leader was having way too much fun.
"Mag...mortaaar!" Shouted the Blast Pokemon as it infused its chi into the volcano. The chamber would begin to shake violently as the earthquake was triggered, magma churning wildly splashing into the air, chunks of the rock ceiling falling, and two pillars were beginning to crack, the top of one of them coming straight down upon the fallen pillar Magmortar and Mega Houndoom were battling on.

Tesei Utakata Watching the falling pillar approaching their new battlefield, Reno was left with one simple choice. Can't dodge, can't run, but there was time to get creative with this. "Sucker Punch! Lets use him fer a boost!" Reno crowed, hoping that his insane idea would transfer without having to tell Ezekiel. The Mega Houndoom would stare down the Magmortar, heaving slightly in effort as he fought against the heaving motion of the Earthquake before charging forward. Crossing the pillar and preparing to kick off the Magmortar in some effort to get up higher, Ezekiel found the hunk of pillar coming down to smash their platform. Showing a flash of brilliance, the Houndoom leaped into the air before slamming into the piece of pillar with a Sucker Punch to propel himself up to the top of the broken pillar. The fun side effect of that would be the piece of pillar being thrown at the Magmortar. It was his turn to catch.
The chunk of rock sent towards Magmortar would make its mark, seemingly crushing the lava dwelling Pokemon between the pillar fragment it stood on and it. Blaine would smile as the two pieces began to sink into the lava. "Oh no! What a twist in this riddle of a battle! What will happen next? Is it over? The answer left undetermined? Maybe it will be a shocker of an answer instead!"
The move Blaine ordered was hidden in his gibberish it seemed as Magmortar propelled its self out of the lava next to the sinking pillars, lava beneath it propelling its self forward as it aimed to slam its cannon-like arm into the Mega Houndoom, a ball of electricity concentrated in it as it utilized Thunder Punch. |
