A sharp twinge lanced through her wing, making a jolt of yellow surge through her otherwise orange eyes. That hadn't felt good.

Steady! They held positon, waiting, watching... and Paciseth twisted like a tunnelsnake, all sinuous motion and grace even as she flamed. The Thread burned into dust, and both rider and dragon roared with delight at their success.

They were fully in synch now, of one mind and heart. Paciseth needed no urging, relying on what J'hcre saw to twist and dart out of the way of the chaos. Why, she was even able to burn her hated foe as much as she liked, bulging with pleasure and glee. Yes, yes! This is what she lived for!

If you are a green, or blue smaller than 30'you're easily able twist and wheel out of the way of the thick clumps. Instead, you're able to flame down a patch of Thread threatening your wingmates, and what a burst of flame it is! Quote a Wingmate who took Thread Damage and nullify it for this Round! +2 Flame Length

Beylith was still flaming very well, and unfortunately at one point that actually worked against him. Clouds of smoke and ash blocked his and his rider's view just long enough for a sheet of Thread to drop onto them from their blind spot, sending them between to their planned safe jump point, since there was no time to wait for clear skies to choose a closer place. Once both had shaken off the dead, frozen threads from their bodies, Ambrin and Beylith returned to their position once more.

OW! That one hadn't been his fault! How could he have known someone was going to show up with fire? While the blue's eyes whirled with pain, he sent back assurances to Fadeth he wasn't upset.

As he jerked away from the fire, the wind caught him and in another push of his wings.....
his wing just clamped up, pain shooting through his shoulder as the little blue yelped in distress. He....wasn't going to stay up!

A blue was struggling, clearly about to drop! Vimiath gracefully snaked her head upward, her body and tail following like a golden river as she flew over and rolled, claws at the ready to gently accept the smaller dragon into her arms. I've got you, my darling! she cooed, ignoring the scratches she gained from the blue's instinctive flailing. It was all part of her work, and her supple, sparkling hide would heal up just fine, she was sure. Then, down to the Healers they went.

When they came back from between, they did so into clear airspace, withing nothing even within reach to flame.
