Davyn grabbed her by the waist and flew her up to her window. he kissed her goodbye, on the lips. "until tomorrow." and he landed on the ground. but he didn't go far...

wakes up * walks around the house n see rina sleepin then leaves her a note that says i hav to talk to u met me in the mountains when u wake .

doesnt sleep cuz of the past that she has
so she stays up all night reading her spell book she got from her parents befor they died
she starts to say spells out lound n she started flootin then she fell asleep

Rina slept easily that night. but her sleep was not restful. she dreamed of the only time she ever lost.... of the time she couldn't save her father.
Rina was 15 when it happened. a man in red robes came to the door, asking to see her father. he appeared behind her and told her to go play with her brother. she left the room, but didn't go far. she peeked around the corner and saw them talking, but they couldn't see her. that's when she noticed that the man in red had ears like hers. pointed ears. he said 'where is the elf?' and her father looked confused. 'there is no elf here.' he relied. the other man looked at him funny. 'so she's dead. tell me, did she die in childbirth or from the ugliness that comes with a half-breed?' he smiled wickedly. her father balled his fists. 'the one whom you seek is dead. now you will leave my property at once. do not return.' the man walked outside and her father shut the door. 'Rina, kitty, come back here. i know you were listening. you are beautiful Kitty. don't let anyone tell you different.' she smiled and ran out to play. the man was there though, at the back door. he pushed her out of the way and attacked her father. blood poured from his stomach and Rina lunged at the man. she grabbed a pair of siscors from the table and stabbed them in the man's shoulder. they fought for a while, Rina's father dying slowly. suddenly the man ripped the siscors from his shoulder and dragged them from her shoulder to her lower back. he laughed and said 'fool. let this remind you. say goodbye' and he left. her father died in her arms. the last word he said was 'Kitty.....'

Davyn watched the dream, putting his hand on Rina's forehead. he kissed her cheeks and whispered songs into her ear until her sleep was calmed. he stayed with her until she woke, then left.

Amie alighted in front of Davyn as he left. "Davyn," she said, a sign of recognition. "You are not going to hurt her, are you?" Her wings remained only half unfurled, as she did not fear Davyn at this moment, but she could take off with them at a moment's notice should she need it. "Whatever are you doing here?"

Amie thinks for a second, and mentioned a few things she'd noticed of the boy, "he's impulsive, and very protective of Rina. Come to think of it, he did the same for me, though I don't know why. He attracts trouble like a magnet apparently..." she trailed off into thought. "What attracted you to this place anyway?"

"Rina. but if you think hard enough about it, my sister did. but then if you think again, it was Luke. long story. speaking of him... he's gonna have to let go of his sister sooner or later." he sat down to think.

Luke was standing at his window in the room next to Rina's. he listened as Davyn spoke again of him. he vowed that Rina would know the truth, and that Davyn would not have her.

"Yeah, it's never good to hold on to someone like that, sooner or later they'll all hate you for it," Amie replied. She sat down next to Davyn, thinking as well. After a long pause she asked, "why does Luke hate you so much?"

Rina listened to the voices outside her window. she didn't say anything, waiting for them to slip up. she would show them fury if they said one wrong thing.... she was not a prize.

Nacola came up behind Luke and slipped her arms around his waist. "long time no see. is there a problem here?"
Davyn looked at Amie. "Amie, please make sure Rina is still sleeping. she does not need to know of this."

Amie closed her eyes for a second and listened. She knew the Davyn probably meant that for her to leave, but she wouldn't, not until he asked straight up for it. "She's not sleeping," she replied, opening her eyes. "And I think she does. This definitely concerns her and she should know. She's a reasonable person and she's gonna find out anyway, might as well find out now and from you. Otherwise you'd end up worse for the wear, and she'll never trust you."
