lolz
i am a local ain't i?

anywho, what were you trying to say?

"That spicy crab was spilled on the floor"?

The particle used was wrong. Atleast I think "ung" is a particle.. er.. whatever it's called. It was used wrong.

"ung" or "Yung" was derived from Yuon/Yoon. It is used like "that" in english.
The word "Ang" would fit better in your sentence.
Ang mahalang na katang ay nalaglag sa sahig.

ma- is a prefix usually added in adjectives.

nalaglag - from laglag meaning fall.
na - is a prefix to express the tense of the verb. Here, it tells us that the action is in the past.
so nalaglag means fell.

sahig is floor in tagalog

wow~
you guys have pretty looking avis~
I can finally see the avis!

I like yours most Lilith~ wink

Tagalog turns to be a bit difficult due to the slangs and shortcuts and street talks. just like in Japanese where there are polite and impolite and then those with dictio terms and stuff like that. not to mention kanji. lolz.

anywho,
add to your Filipino knowledge the term Lapis Koro-chan. It's pencil. lolz

Beach~
oh, so you're a cebuana~ cool! is that where they use gid/guid? I use it alot but I don't actually know where it's from or what it exactly means lolz

Lilith~
try this~

i like doing laundry ^__^ i find learning tagalog to be easier than trying to solve mathematic problems hee hee maybe i find it easy because when i wake up in the all i hear is "gising na nga kayo, tanghali na!!" i always hear that from the landlady, correct me if i'm wrong does that mean: its already afternoon, wake up!!" right sweatdrop i get confused with the "na" it seems they use it for different kinds of sentences.. and adie sayaw tayo minsan hee hee

sadly, i dunno how to dance xd

tho, dapat matulog ka na. heehee
since you're familiar with the gising na, i suppose it's the same with matulog na. smile

"na" is sometimes used as sort of "already".

like matulog ka na, or go to sleep already! wink

@ Adie

"gid" is used by Ilonggos.
"gid" is a word expresses emphasis such as "so", "very", "really", "too" etc.
Example: Namit gid ang pagkaon. (Ilonggo)
The food is so delicious.
"Namit" - delicious
"Pagkaon" - food

"Gyud" is similar from "gid".
But "gyud" is used by Cebuanos!
Example: "Lami-a gyud sa pagkaon!" (Cebuano)
"lami-a" - delicious
root word is "lami". "a" is just a suffix.
"gyud" - same as "gid".
"pagkaon" - food

"Lami gyud kaayo ang paagkaon!"
The food is really very delicious!
"kaayo" also means "so","very", "really" etc.
It's added to add more emphasis/double emphasis.
