"So, he's a little...or a lot vain, that's the only reason you hate him?" Fang could imagine getting annoyed very quickly with him...but not hating him. It sounds like he did something really cool, and she could totally respect that.She shufted her wings off so she could lean back more comfortably.

Tori's feathers bristled.
"Not that he's vain. I can forgive that. It's something else. Something that's...hard to explain. You'll see when we get there, it's hard to miss his town." he said it with a grimace. Stupid Kujaku. He wouldn't forgive him. Ignorance was no excuse, and neither was age.
His stupid older brother...
He nodded, smiling like a mule.
"You'll see when we get there. It's different. You'll see it too."

"I can't wait!" They both said at the same time, clapping and Fang grinned, leaning back, and closing her eyes, "Chill ma main man, if he gets under your skin too bad I'll beat him to a pulp." she chuckled.

After a few hours, Fang'd fallen asleep against Meiyu's shoulder as he studied outside the window.

Sebastion was asleep too. Lack of sleep had worn him out. So Tori was staring out of the window, wondering what his mother was doing.
"Meiyu, do you have any family that you hate?" he asked honestly.

"I don't have much family." Meiyu turned to face him, and smiled warmly, shifting Fang so she didn't fall off of his shoulder,
"I used to...my Aunt Kareen, when I was younger...she was so foul to me." he shook his head.

He looked at the floor of the coach, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Did you hate her so much you wanted to kill her?" he asked, feeling weird for asking Meiyu. He knew that the relationship with his half-brother wasn't any of Meiyu's business, but he wanted advice.

"Sometimes...usually." Meiyu shrugged, "Not that she was a bad person....just that she was a bad person." he remembered the woman perfectly. Beautiful like a sleek jaguar before it went to strike. She had been absolutely horrible. He'd refused to go to the funeral. (not that he didn't feel bad about it afterwards)

Tori looked at Meiyu, eyebrows raised. Wow, Meiyu actually wanting to kill someone? That kind of surprised him. Of course, that actually helped him a little.
"How did you put up with her?" he asked. Hopefully he could use Meiyu's strategy on Kujaku.

"I ignored her...a lot. And when she spoke to me, or struck me...I spoke calmly, and evenly, I gave her no satisfaction, and simply walked away...it's not the easiest thing to do." Meiyu shrugged, "But then she died and I didn't have to worry about it any more." He offered Tori a smile.
"and if you can't do that...when they brag about something, or...something, just point out something you have that they don't."

Tori smiled, happy with the sentiment. Of course he had tried that. But Kujaku knew what he was doing when he picked on Tori. Besides, he didn't know lots of things and he couldn't brag. He hadn't done much.
"Satisfaction doesn't matter to Kujaku," he said with a glare. He looked out the window and saw the town where he lived, sighing. They were almost there. Of course, they had been riding for awhile now and it was the sun had set.
"You'll see what I mean when we get inside," he said, looking back out the window. "Thanks for the advice Meiyu."

"No problem, Torisen..feel free to talk to me about anything." he patted the boy's shoulder with one large and strong, but gentle hand, "I AM your healer, now...that counts for the mind, too." he smiled, and looked out the window again.
Fang turned a little in her sleep, snuggling into Meiyu's side, completely oblivious.

Tori smiled a little, seeing the fire charms sparkle through the lamps in the city. They had finally entered, and were heading to Kujaku's mansion, where he lived in the lap of luxury and didn't want much.
"It's going to take a lot to fix my brain," he said with a snort, "Along with Gestrian, there's my whacked out family..."

Meiyu laughed, "I'm not going to try to fix you, young one...the key is to accept yourself." he laughed and nudged Fang, "We're almost there, Angel."
She lightly slapped him, her eyes blinking open slowly as she sat up, stretching and loked around blinking,
"Mornin' sunshine." she joked, and looked between them, "You two are looking very comfortable with yourselves." she yawned.

Tori smiled. He was watching the Mansion come into veiw slowly. Shrugging, he smiled.
"Only cause I can't sleep while sitting up," he said with a laugh, "Plus, this chair is comfy. Did you sleep ok?" he asked her with a smile.
