"What do you expect, though? They do breed like rabbits. Remember the faire? That one night after they killed that demon? More recently when we travelled with them and arrived at that one inn? Them expecting once again really isn't that much of a shocker."

"Maybe they do go at it like rabbits, but they're not exactly breeding like them. Fifteen hundred years and only four kids? That's a pretty good track record if you ask me."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"You get my point. For a supposed ex-lecher thief god and a high priestess of the god of fertility, you'd think they'd be popping out dozens of babies every five-hundred years." Larai half-joked with a snicker.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Do I...really want to know, or should I come back later?" Daemon said pointing back at the entrance/exit ladder he'd just climbed down. He'd walked in after the high priestess part, so he wasn't yet aware of who his associates were.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"No, it's nothing big. We just got a letter from mom and dad. It turns out, they're expecting again." Larai said with a chuckle. "Our parents and magic make the strangest combinations, I swear..." Again, most mortals didn't involve themselves with magic.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Wow, I didn't think anyone still used magic these days." Daemon said walking over to lean on the back of the couch. "Speaking of which, what's your excuse?" he asked as he looked between the siblings.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Easy; mom's a fountain-of-youth immortal and dad's a retired thief god. You can probably see where I get my klepto tendencies from." Larai said casually, as if it were every day you encountered a godborne.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

Daemon's jaw dropped hard. He looked to Kai who just nodded easily in confirmation. "You...you can't be serious...." he tried to hide the worry in his voice lest they bust his a** hard for what he'd done in the past.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Why wouldn't we be?" Larai asked, not comprehending why people might be shocked or think that she's bullshitting.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"You're that thief god's kids?!" Daemon said in shock, mouth still agape.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Is that really surprising? Consider for a moment. Kai and I are both thieves. I'm out to do an impossible heist and out thief dad. Kai here's a proffessional con-man. We can both use magic, to boot!" Larai said with a shrug. She had yet to realise how pissed Van and Mala would be if they found out that demon that plagued them so long ago was not only alive, but he banged their daughter too!

((*cracks knuckles* Time to test my stereotype redemption skills. *equips Daemon with tattered cloak and walking stick of redemption*))

"Well....I suppose there is truth to that...." Daemon said briefly glancing away. "Although if your father's the god of thieves, I doubt you could really out thief him."

"Dad's long since dropped the thievery bit. Plus, he told us he was born a mortal and ascended to godhood later in life." Larai pointed out. "So why couldn't I? That, plus, Atius is supposed to be the god of fertility and he's the ugliest ******** I've ever seen."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Er, how does Atius relate to you out-thieving your dad...?" Daemon asked with a sweatdrop.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Most of the gods, of what I've heard, make the spirit of irony proud for what they are the god of. For example, the goddess of love is highly insecure about her looks. The god of fertility, Atius, could not get laid no matter how hard he tried. Dad used to fit his role well, but then he met mom and now he's a reformed family man." Larai tried to explain. "Gods come and go, so why can't I take over for my good old man while he's busy with mom and Anise?"
