Damien stepped forward and took hold of Shadow. He then called for a few doctors and some others to come in and clean up the mess, and to take the doctor away for examination and detainment.

Damien's boots had been splashed with the medical liquid and he could feel his feet going numb. Still, the Absolute Leader tried to ignore it. "Here take her. I'll be fine" he said and began trying to head out of the room, forcing himself to walk even though the liquid was making it hard to stand.

Damien tried to force himself to leave the room, but eventually he collapsed and had to be rushed down to an emergency room.

((Wouldn't there be others around who would have seen her or at least heard the commotion going on?))

"Head general!" A soldier called. "The Absolute Leader is in the hospital, and girl used for the immortality experiment has escaped!"

"W-What?!" Jian yelled with alarm, then went to go see Damien. "What happened?" Jain demanded, assuming the worst.

"One of the doctors had gone crazy." One doctor started. "He didn't tell the Absolute Leader about the immortality research being finished, so before he got into trouble, he smashed all of the vials we created to extend one's life and smashed her tank. The liquid was a very powerful drug that prevented her from escaping. It was the only one she hadn't fully become immune to this passed year. The drug is also volatile, so everyone who rushed in to help without wearing bio-hazard suits are in similar conditions. The doctor who smashed the tank is in a coma, and the Leader is like this. He should be waking up soon though. But... we... we can't synthesize anymore immortality solutions. The girl is gone and so are her blood samples." He said, almost breaking into tears. "A-all of my hard work is useless now."

"If we find her, can you synthesize more?" Jian asked.

"Y-yes. I could." He replied.

"Then all we need is Shadow again." He said, then dialed Monica's number. She didn't pick up. He let out a sigh, feeling as if he had no choice. "Mobilize the army." He told the second in command beside him. "Find her at all costs. Put a price on her head if you have to. This is a class A priority. Remember, we need her alive."

"Leader? Damien, are you alright?" He asked, taking his hand and looking worried. The doctor and the others gave the two a little space. The second in command under Jian bowed and left to go carry out Jian's orders quickly before it was too late. In little time, about a thousand soldiers were mobilized, doing a search for her.

((Debating over whether or not they should find and catch her again))

"Damien? You're ok!" Jian said, happy to see his friend was ok.

"S-sir, all of the immortality vials and blood samples were smashed, and the girl has escaped. Without her, we can't make you immortal or continue the super soldier research." The doctor said wiping his tears.

"Monica hasn't picked up her phone, so I've mobilized the army to do a search. The officers at the border stations have been notified. The entire city is being put on a severe lock down until we find her." Jian told him. "So don't worry."

"S-sir!" The doctor said at his sudden outburst.

"I'm sure things will work out." Jian said, trying to calm him. "... Shadow had no family, no trustworthy friends... where would she go?"

"I'd probably say wherever she was living." The doctor replied.

"No, we couldn't ever track it because she would always move after the annual..." Jian started when suddenly his eyes lit up. "That's it. We could check the list of tenants who haven't registered for their apartments. Most of them should already be arrested, but she wouldn't be because she was here. Even if she's not there, her stuff is. We know she will be back for it eventually."

"Yeah. Take your time." Jian told him, trying not to get him to hurt himself while pushing himself.

Shadow looked through the dusty apartment. Everything seemed to be in tact, and she wondered if Zil had watched it for her. No one was living there, and the fridge was empty. She washed and dried a batch of dusty clothes then took another shower, shaving her legs and cleaning herself properly. She checked all of her accounts to see her money tripled due to stock and half of her intelligence programs still running properly. 'I'll have to leave here as soon as possible.' She thought, looking for her cell phone. It was then that she realized that Damien had her cell phone, her two favorite pistols, her motorcycle keys, and one of her IDs and the flash drive. "Damn! No wonder half my system is down!" She snapped. "Well, at least I forgot my wallet that day. He didn't get my money!" She smiled. "I'll just uh... take out the still salvageable parts, pack my stuff, and start over at the new place." She told herself. "And I'll registered my old stuff on the way, and hopefully they won't be smart enough to pick up my trail there..." She told herself as she used the land line to call over a moving vehicle while she packed.
