(I'm sorry, i've lost my previous posts in all this, so I no longer have the quotes. XD)
Farensil had... Apparently, spaced out horribly. Her mind must have slipped between while she was staring at the tree's fronts, but she was vaguely aware of a request to line up. She didn't recognize any gender-specific aspect to the request, and knew that some dragonets in unusual circumstances made unusual decisions... besides, it would probably be easier on the dragonets on the whole to see everyone at once!
So, she had dutifully moved into line, trying to keep close to her adopted group, though they spread out on their own, it seemed. She admired the dragons that passed by, and the pairings they'd made, and felt that pang of loneliness return as the chances on the sands once more dwindled. But today was too pretty to fret about that. She could feel the sun beating on her shoulders through that white robe, and her freckled cheeks were pleasantly warm today, so she would turn to the rest of the clutch.
With a blue and a gold on the sands, and 1, 2, 3... 6? More eggs (she could see) to hatch, there were still plenty of chances for friends. And, if not the dragonets, then the other candidates would surely let her tend their chores.

Rizdax
When he got back to where he'd come from, the redhead found that only Shar and Farensil remained of the original five of them. Of course R'ose was gone but.. .where was Nalacko? Had she gone off to find other friends to stand with? Easing up to his toes to look around, Riz found her not far off, looking just a tad lost if he could read her expression correctly. At least he wasn't so short that he couldn't see over some of the girls.
"Right back." He murmured to the other two girls and he started off over to see if she needed anything. Once upon her he reached out and touched her hand lightly with his own sunburned one, a little worried by the bumps that were raising on his skin but undeterred from grabbing her. "This way." He said with a gentle smile and he pulled her back over towards the other two slowly. Not really wanting to drag her if she didn't want to come.
"It looks like there's a gold on the sands now that the three of you could Impress to, though she looks kind of shy. At least it's an option rather than those two bronzes." Flashing a grin at the three of them he scanned over the other options that had either been lying dormant or had started to wiggle and crack. He was resolute in his desire to see Shar and Nalacko to Impress before he did, even if Rizdax really wanted to meet his dragon and fight Thread he had only stood upon these sands once.
Though these wouldn't be THE sands he would stand on...
It was all so confusing for his first time. Either way, he certainly wanted those that had been standing for turns and turns to have a shot before himself and as such he took a step back behind them, still wary of the dragons that might harm them. For all intents it appeared that none of the current hatchlings were violent, but that didn't mean that they couldn't become that way. Look at what had happened to one candidate that couldn't control his thoughts! If he was there he could at least keep the claws away from the three of his friends, that would make him feel a bit useful at least. He was nothing but scars anyway, what were a few more if it saved someone else?
magnadearel Oops! No lonely thoughts lovely one!
Ruhane Chiisai Of course! <3 No worries.

Farensil chuckled watching the motions and tilting her head at the forming blisters. "You're starting to look like a dragon with split skin... Rizdax, right? Might have to oil your hide extra well for a while after this, huh?" She was only barely aware of her own skin's reddening under the sun, and while she couldn't feel it now, her own hide would be just as cracked and blistered later. She wouldn't bother with that, now. There were too many more blissful things to think about; that gold, that blue... The strange idea that she might impress to what was typically a boy's dragon... And the odd image after that of a gold carrying Rizdax's cherry mass of tangles into the Fight. She chuckled and shook her head. it was amusing to think about, but this wasn't the place for daydreams. Well, not hers, anyways.

K'gan and Singarth
K'gan's grin widened at the laughter. "Oh but you did, and I'm going to hold you to it." K'gan told him waggling a finger in a mock scolding. "If you are going to make promises you can't keep then you shouldn't be getting drunk young man." He tried to school his expression then into one of earnest honesty "And it was a very pretty dress, it had ribbons and everything." It was no good, the straight face lasted all of five seconds before it cracked and fell back into his trade mark grin.
Singarth had settled down down, he was quite enjoying the sun and had his head turned towards it, wings out stretched and limp while his eyes were closed in an expression of dragon bliss. Of course the flitts were all encouraged to land on him, relax and use him as a sunbed, or if they found the heat to much they could shelter under his wings.
K'gan raised his head and looked out across the hatching when a new bustle of excitement ran through it, followed by a revered silence. "Ho, looks like we got a gold out of this clutch after all, thats surprising for a first time clutch." He also noted that most of the other dragons that had been wondering the sands had impressed, apart from the lone blue.
"Go on little guy." K'gan muttered encouragingly. He had a bias for blues, for obvious reasons.

Watching the bronzes Impress, Tarnaria couldn't help but grin. There had been no harm in joining the line, and just as she'd figured, despite her curiosity... She was most definitely not what they were looking for. Swinging her hands back and forth just slightly, the former baker-apprentice hummed, smiling, then looked on as another green Impressed. Her attention, though, was taken by a different shine, her eyes turning to the gold hatchling. "Such a precious baby..." It made her want to try and make a bread dragon, glazed in sweetness and butter, that was as much a lovely shade of gold as the plump little dragon.
And just like that, her mind wandered on that again. She was becoming hopelessly distracted by her own thoughts of bread and dragons made of bread, it probably wouldn't do at all!

Astriana (Western)
Astriana watched as the lighter bronze seemed to be confused and she could only hope he would find his. Surely, one of the boys would be perfect for it, but maybe there was a lot of minds for him to go through. She did notice him go to one of the other eggs and tap on it, maybe help the one inside hatch? Just as she was wondering that, it began to shake, until blue limbs began to break free. It wasn't long before the blue dragon fully emerged from his shell, seeming to appreciate his bronze brother for the help. Just then, she caught hostile movement out of the corner of her eye, turning to see the brighter bronze getting upset about something. What had that candidate done and yes she was blaming him for whatever had upset the bronze. Surely, they had learned from the last hatching about proper etiquette, she scoffed in her mind.
It hadn't escaped her notice the darker green she liked was still sizing up the candidates, wondering if she would find her's. She thought but a moment maybe it was her's, but that thought passed as she did too. Before she had any chance to be disappointed, A'ral's call to them echoed through the air. A mental snort of amusement went in her mind, it was surely directed at the dimglow that upset the bronze. She knew better than to antagonize a baby dragon, their candidatemaster shouldn't have to remind them of THAT. Before she could shoot a glare at the candidate in question, she heard what sounded like cracking. So her eyes returned to the eggs and looked them over, trying to figure out which one it came from. That is when she saw a claw coming out of the peach colored egg. She wasn't sure what color it was just yet, since it was hard to tell from where she stood. Her eyes scanned over the other eggs, seeing what looked like rainbow colored eyes on the scared blue.
Good for you, little one, I knew you could find your chosen one,she thought in a warm voice that was in contrast to her icy outer looks. She had been worried about that little blue, but it seemed he would be alright after all, as long as his rider got to him. Her attention was drawn back to the peach egg, just as the..brown dragon popped out. Wow, he was a big boy and definitely made some noise. Her eyes followed him a little, as he went closer to one of the other candidates, he was showing off. She internally rolled her eyes, someone was full of himself. Her attention was diverted once more by a voice in her head. She looked over to the bronze at his roar, watching as he left his mark..on the candidate that offended him. From the small hatchlings words, it seemed the other had thought bad thoughts about his family. Well, no wonder he was so upset, she couldn't blame the bronze one bit. If someone spoke badly about her family, well, she would do what she could to make the person pay. She didn't respond to the challenge, she didn't have any issue with him defending his loved ones.
Once it seemed that the bronze was done with nothing more than some small injuries, her eyes went back to the others. It seemed the brown was still strutting and getting all kinds of attention. Her attention did return to the brighter bronze briefly, however, as he jumped on one of the other candidates, but this time in impression. Once that was done, her eyes went back to the eggs, seeing the indigo one still shaking. Her heart went out to the poor thing, it still hadn't managed to get out yet. She wondered why, was the shell too strong for it? Sending thoughts of hope towards it, she could only wish it luck in escaping its confinement. The rabbit egg was starting to move now too and she heard a crack, but nothing of color showed yet. The swirly egg also seemed to be moving again, with more vigor than the first time it did awhile ago.
Before she could think more on it, another light brush of a mind came into her's. It seemed something wanted them to make a line and she tried to figure out who had asked it to them. From the way he was standing, she figured it was the other bronze. She knew it wouldn't want her, so she just stayed where she was, knowing those who did line up would make it easier for the others to see those who didn't as well. However, she sent an encouraging thought to him, just to let him know she wasn't doing it in spite of him. It was good thinking, but she just knew that females did not get bronzes at all. Her eyes did follow the bronze and blue though, but it seemed the blue didn't want a girl either. Even more reason to be right where she was then, since neither would want her, for one reason or another.
Looking away briefly from the pair looking down the line, she wondered where the haughty brown was. She spotted him just in time to see his eyes become rainbows, meaning he had found his. She felt relief it wasn't his, she didn't know if she could handle a dragon so full of themselves. Just as she was thinking she gave the brown more attention then she should have, she heard a crack coming from the eggs. Her eyes quickly returned to them, to see swirly egg breaking open. Out came a...so there was actually a gold in this clutch? Watching the bashful thing hide under her wing, her heart went out to the baby. She just wanted her to know everything would be alright, wondering momentarily if maybe she was her's. However, she felt deep down that she was not worthy of such a precious baby.
There is nothing to be shy about, little one. However, if you feel too nervous with all these eyes on you, go find your's, so she can help you. Everything will be fine, you'll see,she thought gently to the baby gold. Just because it wasn't her's, didn't mean she couldn't reassure and encourage her. She took her eyes off the gold, when she noticed the lighter bronze stopped in front of a candidate and burst into the eyes of impression. Then a creel was heard and she turned in time to see the dark green run to another girl. Her stomach did a flip, the green had impressed to another. She tried not to feel disappointment, but the more people impressed..the less her chances. Would she be left standing once more..was it possible her's was not in this batch? Her face still like steel, but her insides and mind was feeling the worry creeping up on her again.

“He is not my friend.” Dorame pouted, making sure the taller man knew her feelings on the matter. The small assassin did not use that word lightly, she only had her Guild-Sisters and her Heart, nobody else deserved such a title. Her answer would have been far more venomous if they had not been warned to restrain their thoughts; called him instead too eager to be thread fodder. Impressing was all well and good, the monotony of Candidacy was broken, your status was elated; then the real work began. She had seen enough Riders fly and fall to know that all too well. That is why you don’t make friends here.
Then her friend swore and Dorame’s head turned to look and investigate, she was going to make a joke about using such language around the Hatchlings but then - Her attention turned away from her to the Green. It was just her luck, she had not a moment ago told everyone not to get their hopes up and the person hanging off of her Impresses. Fate was cruel at times. A smirk came to her lips, then a sharp laugh at the whole damn situation. “It couldn't happen to nobody but you.”
The brunette shook her head, a small sigh leaving her lungs as she nudged her old companion in her rib cage. “Don’t get the wrong idea though, I am still your big sister.” Greenrider or not, Dorame had still graduated from the Hall first; and her heart was still very much with the Guild and their old Craftmaster. A harsh look in green eyes eventually did lighten up, just a little.
“She is beautiful, you have your work cut out.”

The Purple Swirly Gold finally untucked her head from her wing, her eyes whirling bright blue with green specks. There was no anger, rage, or wrath within this one. She let her eyes roam over all the Cadidates, before giving one big, sleepy, yawn.
Mmph.
She wasn't ready to be out here. Between the soft sand beneath her feet, and the warmth of the sun, this gold thought it would be a perfect time to sleep. But. There were all those out there, thinking such kind things at her, such nice things....
And in her hearts, she knew her purpose was to find the One. She passed Adar and Haizea, and gave both girls a thankful boop with her nose. Such kind words of encouragement!
She took a moment to stand before Martirae, and gave the girl a happy warble. So strong and fierce -- yes. She would keep sch strength in mind, and maybe Martirae might take some warmth from this queen. Such a good strong lady... She deserved to find her most perfect match someday. She sent the girl a wave of happiness and pride, for always standing strong and proud, before giving the dark skinned girl a gentle boop, and moving one.
Iathe and Roana were next. The queen plodded over and studied both closely. Hmm. Both were strong-willed, powerful, and not afraid to speak their mind. Fearless. Still, she would share her warmth, and her calm, and give both girls a sleepy little nuzzle and boop, before turning to continue her search.
So much strenght and power out there... Too much for this little gold. Ah, but what was this? Hmm.
Quickly turning, she trotted over to where a girl stood alone. Etansi... In fact, her eyes turned yellow in concern, with some white of fear. She creeled at her, reaching over to nuzzle the girl, and to the send the young woman a flow of warmth, kindness, and calm. Be at peace and melt the ice of her heart. What if she locked Hers out from finding her when they Hatched?
Though Etansi was not meant for this queen, she could not pass such pain without at least trying to help. So she tried to send warmth and calm to the other, comfort, or at least knowledge that she did not have to be alone.
Though she fretted and worried, the pudgy gold still needed to find Hers. The ache in her hearts was great and growing... But perhaps Hers would not mind while she fussed over this one, who was so quietly upset. After a few moments more, the queen finally turned to move on.
So many girls! Which one would be Hers?

Akaris
The little gold was now on the move, necessitating a shift in her attention to watch her, at least out of the corner of her eye, while she spoke to Rylyrr. It wasn't longing that drove her to do so, though it once would have, but caution. She had a...rocky relationship with gold dragons. She and Vimiath had made up, yes, and she was very glad the gold's rider had recovered and they were both well now, but the general fear and unease remained. It was tempered by the fact that she'd kept her safe at the Hatching, but...
Then factor in the lingering shame anytime she thought about the Touching, and Akaris was just very conflicted about it all still, and leery of the glittering hide she'd once coveted. So she'd watch, and wait, and hope the new Queen continued to be sweet, and find Hers without incident.
Shaddaling just internal thoughts in this one but hi
