Nearly the same thing happened only minutes later, and Ambrin laughed aloud as Beylith instinctively drew in on himself, seeming to suck all of his limbs into his body to keep them out of the way just before they made another jump to safety.

The wind howled forth again, but Paciseth had learned from being blown wildly earlier. J'hcre grimaced in sympathy as he felt her fight with all her might to stay in position, felt her exhaustion though she would never admit to such a thing.

A quieter moment came where Brin and Bey got a bit of a break. It wouldn't be much longer before the fall was over, and the man's thoughts went down to the bowl, where the loveliest of ladies awaited his return. Meanwhile, his blue eyes were still sharply focused on the skies, as were his dragon's, for trouble.

A tiny sliver of Thread fell across her frantically beating wings, and Paciseth squealed with surprise before darting Between. Hmph! It wasn't anything to worry about, but she was offended that it had even tried!

The wind picked up again, sending Beylith wobbling, but he fought it and managed to keep in formation. It might have been better just to let it move him a bit, though. A twinge in his wing was his reward for valiance.

Paciseth folded her wings, her jaws gaped wide as she flamed, but the wind worked against her one more. What she couldn't burn came back at her rapidly, and she steeled herself, ready to take it out herself if she had to! Paciseth! J'hcre threw his wills against her, and with a roar of frustration, she went Between.
Hopefully the wing beneath her could catch what she missed, but she still rankled from the injustice of failing to do her duty.

Man and dragon would be glad for the call to descend in an hour or so. All this gusted Thread to the underbits was getting old, and fast! Beylith made a good transfer to a clear patch of sky, but his tail got nipped once again.

The changing of altitudes was a welcome respite from the constant flaming and strong wings. While there was still wind and Thread down here, it was less intense, and Turoth rode out the buffeting gusts with ease as he continued to flame down the silvery Thread that followed them lower.

Spotting a wingmate in trouble, Turoth and Ar'ad jumped Between to get closer to help them. Unfortunately they misjudged and ended up right in the Thread they were hoping to flame. Pain wracked through them as they quickly returned to their previous spot, their roars and cries lost in the silence and cold of Between.

Lucky for them, they had a moment to regroup after the painful searing which allowed them to set their mind to the task at hand. They needed to hold on and focus this last hour.

Rather than Thread, Ar'ad and Turoth found themselves fighting the wind yet again. Turoth handled it with ease, only adjusting his height and speed a few times to correct for the gusts.

Yet another wingmate was having trouble, so Turoth called out to them to give them courage. They were nearly done after all, just hold on a little longer!

O’dyn smiled, patting his gentle giant. Almost done. Mid-altitude was still being thrown around a lot, but at least Ansheth seemed to be able to pace himself, despite his wounds.
