They were only gone for a moment - long enough for the winds to take the Thread past their position before they were back again with fire and fury. Hmph!
Ouch! Feeding your dragon some firestone has resulted in them biting their tongue! This is going to distract your dragon for the next three rolls. Their flaming aim will go down, and they might be slower to dodge out of Thread's way.
Biting one's tongue was the worst and Alzarth was really trying to not have everything go wrong at the tail end of this.

Maybe it was an old bond that made the pair so on top of everything, hitting everything that came their way.

Thread falls, and a sneaky strand winds up chewing on your wingsail. You pop Between to ease the pain, and come out flaming. It hurts, but it's small tubers compared to what it could have been! +1 Pain Resilience]
A little sting of her wingsail wasn't going to bother Eosphoth! Ha!

You're so focused on flaming Thread that you miss a clump of thread blows up on the wind -- beneath you! If a green, or blue, you manage to jump Between ahead of it. Thankfully, your smaller size means you're able to avoid getting harmed! [+1 Between Accuracy]
Eosphoth was focused on flaming Thread, while Danzik was careful to watch out for more coming their way. She made Eosphoth jump away when needed.

A patch falls down ahead. You dive down, flaming as you go, and both rider and dragon are pleased to watch it turn into harmless ash. This is how it gets done!
Fire was how it was done and Eosphoth was feeling good about how they were doing.

That clump of Thread might be big, but Garganth was even bigger! He flamed it down just as it tried to streak past his nose.
