You were a
man once upon a time.. in a far away land. A young
prince in fact.
Although you had everything your heart
desired.. you were selfish, spoiled and unkind.
Until an old beggar woman came knocking on your door one cold, rainy, wintery
Christmas Eve's night and offered you a.. bouquet of flowers in return for shelter.

rose.. but you don't
have a rose now do you? Pfft anyways..]
Repulsed by her haggard appearance you sneered at her gift and turned the old woman away.
But she warned you, not to be deceived by appearances. For
beauty is found within.
And when you dismissed her again, the old woman's ugliness melted away to reveal a beautiful
enchantress.
You then tried to apologize, but it was too late for she could see that there was no
love in your heart.
And as punishment, she transformed you into a hideous beast.

Ashamed of your monstrous form, you concealed yourself inside your home.
The
bouquet of flowers she offered, was truly an
enchanted bouquet.
Which would
bloom until the next Christmas Eve.
If you could learn to love another, and
earn their love in return by the time the last petal fell from the flowers.. then the
spell would be broken.
If not, you would be
doomed to remain a hideous beast.. for
all time.
As the months passed, you fell into
dispair.. and
lost all
hope.
For who could ever learn to love.. a beast.
You wander your halls at night.. clutching the bouquet of flowers which holds the key to your
destiny.. and inevitably.. your
fate.
