Why are people bidding more for Jenny's dresses then they should have to pay if they bought it at a shop?

Some people are lazy to go to the shop and they prefer marketplace more to buy things. They would get items cheaper than at the store. There are also others who like to pay more for items. wink

Well, I always recommend to get stuff in the shops if it's cheaper there.
I'unno.
The Marketplace has seemed pretty iffy to me,
with all of the botting stuff going on.
I don't buy from users unless it looks like a good user,
like, a user who's got items that correlate with how long they've been there, etc.

If you can get it for a better deal in the Marketplace,
that's cool!
I look for great deals in the Marketplace, and often find them.

Just be careful, though.
Not all users attain their gold like you (hypothetical you) and me do.
And you can wind up in real trouble, even if you've done nothing wrong.

Always check the profile of the person you're buying from.
If you're buying a donation item from someone who joined three days ago,
yeah, it's possible he/she bought it with their own gold/cash.
But is it very likely?
On the third day?
Probably not.

Use your best judgment when it comes to the Marketplace.
Whenever you can, use the shops, where you run no risks at all.

You already made one yourself wink making awesome avis doesn't mean that you have to buy expensive items..as long as you can match your items well then it would be an awesome avi.

To get gold for a simple but awesome avi, you can just simply post often in guilds/forums or play some games. But if you want more expensive items, then you must work hard to get golds. Spending real cash is a fast alternative way to easily get expensive items. xd

I know this kind of sound stupid but I've been to and fro my profile and the themes and the account pages and I can't seem to find the "custom" button or option.

see.., I checked out the tektek for profiles and found one I really like. Copied the code into the overide thing and applied it. but there are little things that aren't totally applied and there was in the tektek that says "Note: you gotta set the theme to custom". I've been in and out of my profile looking for the custom option in theme and in the account page, theme, preferences, edit my layout etc and couldn't find the option...

can anyone point where it really is? sweatdrop

Its above your override box, the one with "theme" option, you choose custom from the combo box option.

Hi again..

I have a question regarding the town.

I recently (well i'm still in town(gaia town)) went in town to pick up stuffs. I haven't visited the town for quite some time and it sort of surprised me that even when I didn't type, anything and a speach bubble appeared and said "I'd pretend I was one of the deaf mutes"
and I had some disturbing invites. first was from desu~desu~desu~
then there were like " I thought what I would do was, I'd pretend to be a little girl" and " I, the hacker, rain the rym, is back bitches" and "i Steez' balls finally dropped, he wanted announced" etc etc.
what are these? and whenever I decline, there will be a speech bubble saying " user_id (ANON) is invalid. then another one will pop up...

waht are these? am I being hacked?

Please ignore them. Some irresponsible people are spamming the friend request system in town, so each time you enter the town, the friend request thing popped up. Just ignore them and continue with what you're going to do. Clicking the decline button won't do you anything. wink

Try to go to other area in the town map. Maybe the bugs are in the other side of the area where you've never been to.
