Mini RP - Kanto Badge Run (Reno)

Giving a laugh at the call that he was mad, Reno let a vicious smile crawl across his lips. "Did I ever imply I wasn't?! Heck, my madness is half the reason I tried ta hold onta yer meteorite thing!"

Nova was slowly beginning to feel a sensation re-entering her mind as the assault from a moment ago began to be whittled away. Fire was something that seemed mildly interesting to her, but it wasn't doing too much right now in her mind. No, what she wanted was to cause a storm.

As the Earthquake came to rupture and shift the ground, A massive Hurricane would whip itself into existence from Nova's flapping wings and send a swirling storm of chaotic winds at the Stantler.

Letting out another cackle as the Hurricane and Earthquake were both unleashed, he continued with his mad ranting. "You're the reason I even got ta have these powers! That's the hilarious thing! Couldn't a done it without ya! So laugh with me!"

Nova didn't stand a chance against the reversed Hurricane. The Volcarona was too focused on its returned love of flames and too focused on how she would apply them to the heathen who had dared rob her of her zeal and memory of them. The Hurricane simply ripped her out of the air as she attempted to unleash a Fiery Dance, only successfully firing off an Ember strength bit of scales before the windstorm plucked her from the air and slammed her into the ground.

Wincing at his Pokemon's unfortunate ride, Reno quickly palmed another Pokeball and threw it out. Watching as his Marowak manifested itself next to him, the psychic would give a small smile. "Now then. Let's see who destroys who. Bonemerang." Reno ordered, watching as the Marowak's Thick Club went sailing through the air towards the Stantler.

Looking over to his Pokemon, Reno found himself with the dilemma of sorts. He could either dive across the gym and try to stop this from happening barely, or he could see what Gruff could do to evade it. Its not like he could use his powers right now. Wait, how had Io used her powers? Her partner wasn't that Stantler, it was a Metagross. Feeling his eyes snap open and a grin ripping across his face, Reno would hurl his last Pokeball out into the field before diving towards Gruff's position. Watching as Harleen popped out of the device, Reno felt a small pop before he and his Marowak were now fifteen feet to the left of where the Hydro Pump was now lancing through the air.

"Gruff, Iron Tail!" He commanded as he released his Marowak to charge down the Starmie, watching as Harleen ran over to him and began to quickly scale her way up to his shoulder. Nodding at his Pokemon and the new sense of the world she always gave him, Reno would wink at Io. See how she liked that.

Pointing at the roof, Reno shot back, "Yeah? Well, if you get your Metagross off the room and return then, then I'll consider it. Until then, I get psychic powers too." Deciding to do something a little risky, Reno would telepathically push against Io's mind in efforts to break through and see what he might find. Meanwhile, as Gruff was forced to accept a Hydro Pump to the face, a crackling yellow energy surrounded his empty, clubless hand. The hand which he proceeded to thrust into the stream of water, attempting to conduct the Thunderpunch down the torrent of water to its source.

Reno would grin as he kept fighting against Io's mental blocks, finally having something resembling a challenge. Oh things were beginning to look up for this fight.

With Gruff, he was currently starting his descent towards the ground again after the massive airtime that he received from the Hydro Pump. Looking down towards the ground he was quickly rushing to meet, a small idea dawned in the Marowak's mind. There was a Pokemon on the ceiling, and one on the floor. Pointing his fist towards the ground, the Marowak would simply plummet downwards and prepare to unleash an Earthquake attack upon impact.

Reno felt himself quietly infiltrating Io's mind even as the world began to shake and rattle like nobody's business. Feeling himself coming close to fruition on getting actual thoughts and memories, Reno was slammed with a burst of thoughts from all kinds of sources that screamed at him in all kinds of voice. Men and women of all ages were suddenly popping into Reno's mind before he found himself pushed out. One final message would manage to reach him before he was pushed back into full reality. "Sub? Why do you know my name?"

Shaking himself to attention as Io began to scream at her Metagross to attack his Marowak. Unable to make a command as the Bullet Punch slammed into his Ground type and slammed the Ground type into the wall, he went ahead with something else. "Harleen, Encore. It's time for you to fight." Reno calmly spoke, feeling the small Wynaut hop off his shoulder with a spinning flourish. She then proceeded with a little dance directed towards the Metagross, a small amount of psychic chi permeating air to influence the psuedo-legendary's mind. That attack was great, it was awesome, and the world needed to see it again.

Staring with a critical eye towards Io as things began to go crazy with her, Reno felt a very strange sensation cross his mind. Her psychic powers were going crazy from the looks of it, and all he could feel was a deep seated instinct to simply flee. Pushing that feeling back down as what she said was quickly noted in his mind, the red haired man would attempt to process all of this.

Left to her own devices and with an extremely clear idea of what attack was coming her way, Harleen simply stood her ground with a absent smile to her face as the Bullet Punch slammed straight into her. Or, at least it appeared to do that. Rather than the punch hitting her, Harleen was bending over to avoid the main impact before latching onto the metallic arm and using all her built up energy to send the Metagross crashing into the ground with an extreme amount of velocity. Apparently, the little Wynaut had bending skills like an elite soccer player.
