"Well, we're almost there anyway, so it doesn't really matter at this point." Van said, starting to see the edge of the ruins by this point.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"You've...got a point there." Mala mumbled, still feeling pretty useless at this point. At most, she felt as if she were merely moral support.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Besides, I'd like to make life as luxurious possible for you until I feel like I've made up for what happened." Van said without looking back at Mala.

 

[M3Gnificent]

Mala blushed and averted her gaze. "I...uhm....thank you..." she muttured, embarassed with herself now.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"You look like I've done something for you before." Van teased with a warm smile after looking over to see Mala blushing a bit.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Well, here I was being all persistant about it and now I feel like an idiot." Mala said, sticking her tongue out at Van in a playful yet childish manner afterwards.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Heh, sorry, didn't mean for that happen." Van said with a slight chuckle as he set the mattress down for a moment to open the door to their home.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Don't be." Mala said, glad that they were finally home at least.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Well that's one piece of furniture down, how many more to go?" Van said once he got the new bed set up and started to take out the old one. "The question also remains of what to do with the old junk."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"If we're feeling extremely frugal, we could save the old one until it's needed. However, I honestly wouldn't mind spending a little extra coin for a new bed once we need one." Mala said, thinking into the future for when their child would outgrow a simple crib.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Well there's still the bed in Riley's old room..." Van said setting the bed just outside the door for now. "I know the attic's fixed--sort of--but I don't think it'll hold all the old stuff every time we replace something. Maybe some of the other buildings around here could be used for storage until we figure something out." he said rubbing his chin in thought.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Good idea." Mala said, moving a stray strand of hair out of her face. "If the wood from some of these old furniture pieces still isn't ruined, we could also use the scraps for fixing up the house where necessary."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I'm amazed a lot of it's in as good a shape as it is." Van said looking around to see what buildings were big enough and still had a roof.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"I'm surprised any of this is still standing after the ravaging that demon gave it." Mala said in reply, eyeing her childhood home town with a faint look of distance about her.

"I think he wanted blood rather than destruction." Van starting to wander off into the ruins, stopping and pulling his foot back when he heard something snap. Further investigation proved the source to be some bone from one of the many victims from that day, causing Van to grimmace at sigh
