Amaya noticed his yawn and smiled lightly as she looked at Adrian. "Sorry, usually I bring a book, but I wanted to spend time with you instead of read a book. But I agree, the ride is slow." She muttered, looking back at the window again.

"That's perfectly understandable." Adrian said with a smile. "I've heard from friends that have been to New York that sometimes you'll get the most random scenes on a subway trip, from wedding proposals to mariachi bands. Maybe I'll tote my guitar along sometime for the longer rides."

"I just like to tease you." Amaya told him as she smiled up at him. "So any girls fall in love with your songs over the years?" She asked suddenly, cocking her head a little. Adrian was attractive, that was obvious, even if he had wings and horns, and there were plenty of people who had a sort of fetish for mutates. Odd, but true...

"Oh, I had my fangirls and groupies." Adrian said with a laugh. "Had to break all their hearts though, for obvious reasons. I did get a stalker though that managed to follow me around until I moved on to the next state. That was kinda weird...."

"Yeah, but none of 'em were you, so it didn't help that much. I didn't want to enjoy myself too much and forget why I was traveling to begin with." Adrian said with a smile as he turned his eyes up toward his hair. It had grown a little over the years to the point he could probably pull it back into a short ponytail if he wanted.

"Well, I'm glad you didn't forget why you were traveling." Amaya said, returning the smile and kissing him before she got up. The train screeched to a halt and the doors opened. Amaya stepped off and huddled down in her jacket once more as she walked towards Damien's parent's house.

Seraph followed Amaya and Adrian off the train, humming quietly to himself. A man on the train had sold him some sugar very cheaply, or at least it looked like sugar. He'd tasted some of it, and it didn't taste very much like sugar.
Had New York always played host to flocks of albino gerbils? They were flying everywhere now.
((yes, he's really that spacy. and no, he won't get addicted.))

"Ah. Well good to hear." Amaya said as they walked up to the building and buzzed the door. The door buzzed open for them and Amaya held the door open until Adrian got in and then followed behind him. "Didn't want you sleeping around anyway." She told him with a wink.
