"With your hideout so close to the surface, I'd somehow assumed that was as far as you'd gone." Daemon commented.

"No, I've been down way farther. I was simply being lazy in keeping it so close to the surface." Larai admitted with a soft chuckle.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"What about Kai? Have you led him any further back?" Daemon asked, knowing her concerns about getting busted again.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"No; not that I recall." Larai answered, hoping that she wasn't forgetting any instance in which she did.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Then we should be just fine." Daemon said with a reassuring smile. "Even if he does figure it out, we're in a nice shadowy cave. I've got an upper hand and can use the shadows to keep an eye out for any trespassers." he said giving her a sneaky wink.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Good. I don't need my mom or my brother busting in here constantly, especially with the timing they've got." Larai replied in a half-joking tone, accompanied by a small chuckle and slight blush afterwards.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Frankly, I'm amazed I got away with a swollen cheek and burned arm. I was preparing for the worst." Daemon said with a chuckle.

 

[M3Gnificent]

{Aaaaaand...block. crying }

((Cue minions of the Hell's Court dragging him down? sweatdrop ))

((I don't know. I can set things off if you want, but I'd prefer not playing the minions or whoever's going to give the speech or whatever to Daemon. I barely understood the Hell's Court thing when it was explained. sweatdrop ))

{Think magic-obtained-by-deal-with-devil for the reason why he's even involved with it to begin with, and the court itself being a Decadent Court whose main currency is Damned Souls. That simplifies things a lot.

The couple was enjoying their crystal-lit walk while exploring the caverns when Daemon felt like he stepped in a pot hole, causing him to trip and fall flat on the ground. "Man this isn't my day..." he said looking back to see what tripped him when he saw his own shadow was trying to swallow him up. "s**t!" he cried, scrambling and grabbing at the ground to try and escape.

{Sorry for taking so long to reply. The air conditioner isn't working in my house, so to help cool off, I jumped into the REALLY ******** COLD pool and took a shower. Thinking clearly is much, much easier nao! biggrin }

"Daemon!" Larai cried out, reaching towards him, trying - and failing - to pull Daemon free.

"Larai!" Daemon had managed to grab her hand, but he only wound up starting to pull her with him. "Some first date, huh?" he said in a half-hearted joke before letting go of her, letting his shadow swallow him up without dragging Larai with him.
