"Not really..." She smiled at her feet, "You probably wouldn't know him." She lied through her teeth. She didn't know how long Markus had liked her, but she'd always thought he was cute...and funny, too.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Really now?" Aleera asked, raising an eyebrow. "Not a sweetheart yet just seeing him puts you in this good of a mood? Sounds like somebody has a crush." She teased the girl, grinning good-naturedly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"We didn't used to be sweethearts." Akila specified, and decided 'why not?' since she wasn't giving away his name. Her face flushed further when she said, "He kissed me."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Oo-la-la~!" Aleera teased with a laugh. "Not used to be sweethearts but rather soon to be sweethearts." She said with a grin. "Well, I wish you luck with him." Her voice was sincere as she spoke. The girl deserves some happiness, she figured. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Thanks, Aleera." Akila smiled up at the woman, "He's really amazing" she sighed dreamily, and shook her head, "But I probably won't see him for a while."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera just smiled and shrugged. "Well, make do with what you can. I'd better get going before Clorogne catches me warning you. See ya." She gave a small wave and headed back to her own room, sitting down and brushing her hair again. She'd only given it the quickest of brushes, wanting to warn Akila before anything happened to the girl. She was rather fond of the girl and hated to see her hurt. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila smiled, "Thanks Aleera...yeah, be careful." She nodded, before closing her door to change again. She didn't want to wear down the dress, so today she dressed in the slave garbs. She pulled her hair back into 2 french braids out of her face, and pulled the cloak on, going out to the hallway and knocking on Clorogne's door. "Come in." His voice was quiet but grumpy sounding. Akila let herself in, and bowed her head, "Please excuse my absence this morning, Clorogne. I was foolish enough to allow myself to sleep in." "No matter, Aleera has given me all the answers I need. I expect you to bring back my lunch this time while I work out the plans during the day." "Yes, sir. Anything else?" "The same as yesterday, ...and come here..." Akila stepped forward to him, and he stood, grabbing her by her collar, "You think I'm a fool!? The people would INSTANTLY know who I am, were I to allow you out in those scraps!" He tugged on her shirt, and for a moment she was even more scared, before he dropped her and tossed a large white puffy-sleeved button up shirt at her, with a brown vest, "Now get out of my sight...and bathe. You stink." Akila scrambled up, "Yes, sir." and she left quickly closing the door behind her, with a sigh. She sniffed her shirt, "I do NOT smell." She wrinkled her nose in distaste of his behaviour, before going back to her room to change again.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera sharpened her hearing, shifting her ears to cat ear to eavesdrop on the encounter. She winced in sympathy for girl. Well, at least it wasn't as bad as it could have been, mused the Seer as she returned her ears to normal. Akila wasn't in trouble for sleeping in, thanks to the forewarning. That was good. The girl was in enough trouble for one day. With a sigh, Aleera brushed her hair back, settling her golden headpiece upon her black locks, making sure it wouldn't fall. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila changed into the WAY to large white shirt and tightened the vest to keep it on more securely. She looked more like a foreign explorer than a slave, with the exception of her collar. Looking in a mirror, she decided she was content with her look for now. If he wanted her to bathe. She would. She went across the hall and lightly tapped on Aleera's door.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera rose at the sound of a knock, opening the door for Akila. "What can I do for you?" She asked as if she hadn't spent the last few minutes talking to her. They had to put on a show for Clorogne, now that he knew Akila was awake. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Clorogne feels I should bathe, and I haven't been around town for quite a while...so I was wondering if you would accompany me." She really just didn't trust people anymore.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Alright then." Aleera stepped out of her room, closing the door behind her, grabbing a small pouch as she did so. She buckled the pouch around her waist and led the way out of the inn and into the town. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Once they were out of the Inn, she loosened up a bit, "So, to the bath house, or ...there is a freshwater stream in the woods...?" She didn't really care that it was outside, because less people would see in a river than in the bath house. Actually, she didn't really care which, it was more for Aleera's preference. She, too, held a sac, draped over one of her shoulders.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera glanced at her with a raised eyebrow. "You'd rather out in the woods? Well, whatever. There's a stream not too far from town we could use if you want." She said with a shrug. As a shifter, she'd bathed in all sorts of places - lakes, rivers, streams, separate and co-ed bathing houses. She led the way out of town, letting the sounds of bustle fade behind her. She pushed aside some trees, holding back the branches for Akila to enter. "It's a bit out of people's ways so we shouldn't be bothered here. And it's upstream from where the poor wash their clothes, before you ask about that too." She added, dropping her bag on the bank. She sat, pulling off her sandals and testing the water with her feet. "Perfect. Not too cold." She said with a smile. The stream was fairly deep and wide, almost big enough to classify as a river instead. It was slow moving though, especially in the pools that gathered on the sides. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila shrugged, "I told you I like the forest." She tested the water with her feet and smiled, "Perfect." she turned to Aleera as she unbuttoned Clorogne's vest, "Bath houses are kind of gross, and are usually run by creepy men." She stripped of the too big clothing, before quickly going into the stream, and swimming towards the bottom. Nature was much preffered, for her at least.
