Do forgive me for not jumping about like some of my siblings—being cramped in that egg was murder on my back.
For the first time in his life, Kellan - now, perhaps, K'ell - was struck dumb. A rather poor time for that, as it happened. From across the sands a pair of red eyes glowed malevolently, and K'ell felt himself moving before he fully realized where he was going. Then something shook him out of it, and he strode over to Eskharath with every evidence of pride. For here was the most perfect, brilliant brown, and entirely his.
It's rather the other way around, that drawling, lazy voice asserted. The dragonet yawned, not budging from his comfortable spot on the sands. When K'ell reached him, he gazed up with eyes that whirled with the rainbows of Impression, but which contained a rather disporportionate flare of red.
"Please. I may be many things, Eskharath, but common isn't one of them. As you well know." Their minds, perfectly melded together, and yet so perfectly their own, were in agreement on that point. Uncommonly slow, the brown drawled, rolling over in a great feline stretch. Now find me something to eat before I expire. Or will I be forced to catch it myself?

Siv
Siv nearly gave herselt whiplash at the sound of Gryffindor's eg beginning to open. They weren't out yet, but Siv lit up. She had been happy meeting as many eggs as she could, and Gryffindor had been one that stuck out -- so eager, happy, and friendly, even with how tired they were, and a big grin spread on her face once again. THAT was the way one did it -- little chips here and there, like breaking down and rebuilding some of the equipoment around a farm or small hold! Just like it! And this was gonna be AWESOME....
ok maybe the hatchling inside had been a bad influence at touching-- but that was their thinking, and Siv was SURE their hatching would be... AWESOME!
Amila
Amortentia was out of hiding! Amila lit up completely, wiping her eyes as she couldsn't help beaming to the beautiful, precious, and sweet green baby once again showing her stuff.
Don't let one stupid mean Candidate let you down! You can do it! Yours is waiting and they'll love you more than anything, so you show them how prettyyou are!
Amila was crooning her approval, unable to help her delight and joy seeing the baby feeling better. The baby deserved to be happy, and she just crooned to the little green proudly. You could do it! Show everyone what a jewel you were, and then let them be jealous when you found Yours!
Prism Shine Amila's just praising Amortentia

Orri
"Nice to meet you!" He moved to shake hands instinctively even as she suggested against it, only then noticing her free one was holding Dehka's. It was probably a fair reaction to some of the dragon's antics. Soui looked fairly young, so it might very well have been her first time on the sands. Good on Dehka to be looking out for her!
Several more impressions happened, and Orri had to adjust his glasses to hide having to wipe at his eyes once or twice more. He couldn't possibly imagine what the real thing was like. Had Herg'r managed to get through his without crying? What was he saying, of course Dad had! Herg'r was many things: bold, strong, loud, merry, but certainly not crybaby. Orri felt like he was being a bit too sensitive now, shards, and tried to steel himself.
Soui's entreaty to Amortentia broke his train of thought. The poor thing was still hesitating. And while Crucio had seemed rather harsh upon hatching, she clearly cared for her sister. And Auror and Expelliarmus and Go the Distance remained vigilant, Gryffindor struggled to get out of its shell, Be Our Guest popping out adorably by his sister...and there was still so much left to go.
Orri knew he should keep his composure as befitted a candidate, but a rare and small boldness leaped up in him. Cupping his mouth, though not quite shouting, he called, "You are all perfect as you are, never mistake it!" An accompanying thought of reassurance went with it. Far be it for any dragonet to feel unwanted or unsure. And if it called undue attention on him, well...He'd deal with that if it happened.

(more posting for Thali cause Gaia is a stupid butt)
Very possible was pretty inevitable, C'vi thought, especially with the red eyed green still on the sands. "She's gathering a posse," he muttered, uneasily. He was sure this wasn't going to be pleasant. "You better get ready to head down there," he said, taking Maddy's hand, the one that had rested on his knee. "If the hatching lasts long enough, maybe she can come see you Impress," he teased.

Martirae of Gold Anakumth
With her sister drawing more courage to come back out, Anakumath settled - somewhat. Marty kneeled in the sand with the gold, pulling that golden head into hers and offering her something solid to brace against emotionally. It wasn't hard to ground them both. Send her your love, but you need to eat so we can be ready, the woman urged, though ready for what, she didn't clarify any farther. Anakumath rested against the fierce certainty of her chosen, steadying herself for a moment.
Then, Marty rose, lingering as Anakumath did just that, reaching out towards Amortentia for a moment. Sweet, there is goodness just for you through the worry and the fear, she spoke gently before turning to again follow her Martirae to-
Nope, nope. It was time for another distraction, and Anakumath was off towards a pair who were standing towards the back. All was apparently not well and while Ielin had already been on the case, the small gold kreeled at the young man before looking towards...Amila. Oh! She knew who this was! Anakumath offered Amila a small nudge, then looked back towards her siblings and cousins. Marty was hot on her heels. "Back here is an awfully long way for a baby dragon to travel. You should move back to be with the rest," she nodded towards the group.

Farellen could hardly keep track of what was going on, between dodging an exciting green, eggs hatching all over, hatchlings still looking sinister, he didn't know where was best to concentrate on, he only had one eye after all, he felt so bad for that one green hiding behind her sister, he really hoped she could find Hers, or at least call them to her, once she was Impressed, he was sure she'd be safe, right now the poor thing looked so worried he prayed to faranth hers was here.
~~~~~~~~~
Helane was shaking now, she wrung her hands hard, and tried not to flail a little, ever now and then letting out little excited squeals that she clamped down on pretty quickly, jumping shipfish this was just all so AMAZING, how could she concentrate, there were hatchlings everywhere, who knew what was going to happen next, it was soo so excitingly unpredictable that she couldn't help but bounce a little in place.
~~~~~~~~
Rokar watched carefully, noting each hatch, each impression now, each dragon finding their person was one less that was going to look to him, after his last hatching, he wasn't sure he could handle another if he was rejected this time, he would stand, because he was stubborn, but he wasn't sure how he would take rejection after rejection, it was almost worse than the quiet ridicule back home. he HAD to Impress, he just had to ... or if not, maybe he could get into Wherhandling..... he sighed as yet another dragon found their match, someone else, that wasn't him. He closed his eyes and clenched his fists, trying hard not to think negative thoughts,

Ielin - High Reaches Candidate
He frowns a touch at Amila’s distressed tone, rubbing her shoulder in an attempt to console her. His words weren’t getting through, all he could do was try to champion her. He keeps an eye on Amortentia, but also at any dragonets roaming around them. He doesn’t want to lose track and possibly have a surprise at his feet. Yet the little green seems to be making another attempt out on the sands, and he smiles as she does. It would be okay. He tries to send out his best feelings--for the candidates were not all bad for the one who had hurt them. He releases his arm as Amila dried her tears, yet--
A creel catches him off guard, and he glances down to--the golden baby?
“Hello.” He greets the little golden baby, but she had her eyes set onto Amila. Ielin looks over as their rider was right after her--oh, he vaguely remembered her. She’s been at the hatching on the beach, he vaguely recalls.
But Marty’s words were reasonable, and he nods in confirmation. “We should. Thanks-- an’, congratulations. -- C’mon.” He nudges his head towards the clutches as he glances down at Amila, before starting to move closer to the excitement.
