"I think that was the idea. I take even one step within five feet of the whore house and she would have busted me. It was either spend all the gold she gave me on prostitutes, or spend it all showering you with gifts. I think you know which one I picked." Daemon said giving her a bright smile.

"Hold on a seccond." Larai muttured, before rushing off to hand Anise over to Van before running back to Daemon and hugging him tightly. Of course, when it dawned on her that Mala offered to pa you off Daemon with whores, she quickly paled. "Why would mom encourage to do something like that?"

"She still thinks I'll leap at the chance to sleep with other women." Daemon said rolling his eyes. "She was trying to make it as easy as possible for me to screw up, I think."

Larai sighed deeply, hugging Daemon a little tighter. "Thank you for not falling for her tricks."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I think she wanted me to go to the whorehouse. Contrary to popular belief, I am, in fact, smarter than that." Daemon said with a small chuckle as he hugged her back. "Now, turn around and close your eyes."

Larai nodded slightly and did as was asked of her, wondering why Daemon wanted her to do as such.

Pulling the small necklace case from his pocket, he pulled out the shimmering pendant he bought for her and slipped it around her neck. "Alright, you can look now." he said with a smile as he gently pulled her hair out from under the chain.

Larai opened her eyes and looked down at hte necklace that Daemon had bought for her. They widened considerably, sparkeling almost as much as the pendant did itself. Without another word, she swiftly turned about to offer Daemon a sort of 'thank you' kiss, since it was difficult to describe just how much she loved it.

"Wait until you see the cave." Daemon said with a chuckle. "She gave me a lot of gold to use up."

Larai looked even more delighted, absolutely dying to know what Daemon did with the place. "Then let's go~ I want to see it now!" she said excitedly, grinning like a child with candy.

"I had a feeling you would." Daemon said with a chuckle as he wrapped his arms around her while they sank into their combined shadow. Rather than a couple of beds and a few other homey things, the cave had pretty much been turned into a regular house, including furniture and toys for the baby, minus the actual house. Sitting on a new dresser with mirror for Larai was an intricate jewelry box, the kind that even played a little music box tune when opened.

Larai gazed in amazement at this all, soon going on to scurry about - admiring every nook and cranny. Needless to say, she hadn't been this happy to be thought of with so much in a long time. Before long she ran back to Daemon, tightly hugging him once more. "You sweetheart! You've got to tell me what type of gifts you'd like~"

"You really don't have to do that, I just had to spend all that gold somehow or she'd still think I was a lecherous a**." That, and he'd never really gotten a gift before, so he really never thought about what he wanted.

"But you could've cheaped out and spent it all on stupid fake treasure and value-free trinkets. You didn't, and instead, got all of this!" Larai pointed out with a broad grin. "Just tell me what sort of things you like! Books, clothes, crowns, gold, anything. I'd like to know what you'd want."

"I really don't know, but I'm sure I'd love whatever you got me." Daemon said with a smile.
