Damien looked around, then pointed to the observation tower in the middle of the city that was erected hundreds of years ago as a means for watchmen to keep an eye out for potential invaders. It was the highest point in the city and was rounded so that the watchmen could look in all directions and communicate with those at the outer walls. Many of the outer walls were no longer there and the city had expanded quite a bit since then, but the central tower still stood. He wondered if they were using that. Was it safe to do so in this storm? Surely they would avoid high locations like that. "I doubt it's possible in this type of weather, but do you think they'd be using that as a means of communication or to get around? They're either brave or stupid"

((Yay!))
"I... don't know." Jian replied. "It's raining pretty hard, but against the darkness outside, the lit halls would be pretty easy to see if not for the rain. Perhaps they could see outlines and that would be enough."
"Mr. Blackrose, Mr. Kimfeng." A guard said, walking towards the pair. "We need to get you to safety immediately."
"Why? What's the matter?" Jian asked. The guard slightly lowered his head as if looking sick.
"... The killer just... gruesomely announced your the next targets... He's killing you both at midnight." He said. "I... was told to escort you to the Grand Priestess for protection. And I... wouldn't look in that room."

Damien turned to the guard. "I see" he said. He then looked at the Chief General. "Well then, I suppose we should be heading over there". It was times like this that Damien wished he had his gun. He hated being defenseless. However, it was still in his office desk drawer.

((Wait... didn't he grab it in case of Shadow. I actually recall you saying that he did. lol))
"Alright then. Follow me." He said, leading them down the halls.
"So... I guess he just found out we are here between now and 30 minutes ago." Jian sighed, checking his watch. "If it's any solace, Shadow still has two loaded guns on her person."

((I can't remember a damn thing. emotion_facepalm Forget the last part then. 3nodding ))
"Well, then hopefully he's not too skilled against her. I guess all we can do is wait and shoot if he tries to attack us" Damien said as they walked along.

((It's all cool))
Jian nodded. The guard led them to the room, which was guarded by several guards while several guards and nuns with veils were inside, chatting and sitting around.
"Where's Shadow and the Grand Priestess." Jian asked, looking around the room.
"In there." He replied, as if suggesting they were hiding who was who.

"So I guess we just stay here?" Damien asked, going in the room. He could feel the stares that some were giving him. Many with animosity. He didn't care. Those people didn't matter to him.

"Yeah..." Jian looked around, also feeling the fear and the hostility. He said nothing, pulling out an empty chair for Damien and another for himself. He then sat down, looking at the others in the room.
There was a knight leaning against the wall, while a few others, who were looking at Damien with hostility slowly turned towards each other and began chatting. A pair of nuns was playing chess while a few others were playing cards or talking about gardening. In the corner was a solitary nun sitting on a chair reading a book, who was very easy not to notice. There was another chess set on the table that wasn't being used and a few sets of cards so that no one was bored.

Damien sat down and leaned one arm on the chair. "So, what do you want to do while we wait?" he asked the Chief General. Despite the tension, Damien was already bored. Or maybe he just wanted to get his mind off of things.
