Suddenly there was the schlick of a claw ripping through flesh and light!Kaistern's eyes grew wide as he coughed up blood. Before he got the chance to get up, his dark side had come up behind him and stabbed him in the back, grinning a maniacal grin all the while. "I wish I could say it's been fun, but it really hasn't."
((While writing fight scenes between my own chars may suck a**, at least I can god mod myself all I want for DRAMA. ninja ))

{DUN DUN DUUUUUN.}
Ophelia began to panic, worry clear in her eyes for light!Kaistern as he coughed up that blood. She sincerely hoped that this wasn't the end. She did not want it to be the end. She did not want to lose him to her foolishness. Thinking of no other alternative, she began to reach for the necklace that Kaistern wore. She could wake him up if she ripped it off him, right? He would be just fine, please? Quietly she begged and begged the gods for this to be so.

Light!Kaistern put a hand on Ophelia's to stop her and slowly shook his head. He was smiling. It was weak and the pain showed on his face, but he was smiling. No matter the outcome, he was determined to end it here. Then he moved to hold the hand still stuck through his stomach. "If you want to kill a man from behind, then GET BETTER AIM!" he said as he turned his head slightly and thrusting it back, using his long horns to skewer his dark half through the heart. His dark side only got out a few shocked, dying grunts before fading from existence completely. "That could've gone better..." he said before another bout of coughing.

Ophelia could not help but be impressed by Kaistern's actions, his resolve to end his struggle with his other half once and for all. She'd kiss him, but, well, just look at him! Kaistern was badly injured. He needed to get out of this place and get some healing done. (Not that she helped with jack s**t, it seemed. Ophelia was starting to feel more and more useless.) Which she promptly pointed out. "You were amazing. Still, it would be a good idea to get yourself healed up as soon as possible wouldn't it?"

"Healers are probably tending to my body as we speak; don't worry about it." Kaistern said with a weary smile. "You should get out of here report back to the mages. I'll be right behind you." he said giving her a small kiss before moving to remove her amulet.

Ophelia, trusting that Kaistern was telling her the truth, made no movements to stop him from removing her necklace. Once she came to, seeing the ceiling instead of Kaistern's face, she slowly sat herself up and looked around the room. She, once again, could not help but feel rather disoriented.

Ophelia: *sits up and looks around; sees cell bars* ....GODDAMMIT.))
Sure enough, Kaistern was in bad shape as what injuries he'd sustained had transferred over to his body and healers had been rushed in to keep him from dying from the large hole in his stomach, his blood already spreading across the sheets. And throughout the whole endeavor, his hand had never let go of Ophelia's.

Ophelia soon looked Kaistern over, the worry evident upon her face for anyone who even remotely gazed upon her. She couldn't help but feel guilty, like his grievous stomach injury was her fault. Instinctively she squeezed the hand of his that she still held, trying to comfort both herself and perhaps the sleeping Kaistern as well as the healers did their magic.

((Lol, yes, although I was thinking more RAEG myself. XD ))
Kaistern's face was wrought with pain, but he eventually looked more relaxed and peaceful as his wound was healed. Soon enough, his eyes fluttered open with his head feeling much more clear now.

Ophelia watched over Kaistern until the very moment he woke. "Kaistern?" she spoke softly, wondering if anything was amiss even despite the magical healing. She did worry so, didn't she?

((Don't say that, it'll give me ideas and then I'll have to pull some massive retcon/a**-pull action. XD ))
Once all that was left were a few small cuts and scrapes, Kaistern shooed the magical entourage away as he sat up. "I never thought I'd see the day I'd be rid of him." he said with a small sigh of relief as he rubbed his head.

{Well, it's certainly a victory for light!Kaistern, but there's nothing saying we can't pull out dark!Kaistern later on if things become particularly dire and/or boring. twisted }
"I'm glad you were able to defeat him as you did." Ophelia's smile fell once more. "I...I must apologize for what had occured. You would not have been wounded so were it not for my wrecklessness."
