Again, Reka swooped in to assist a wingmate, humming with pleasure as he snapped several tongues of flame at the offending invader. Pency gave a shaky gesture when the wingmates sent their thanks.

Everything was going more or less perfectly, until Firith bit her tongue. An i quiry from one of the wing's bronzes, however, proved a good distraction from the discomfort. Of course I'm fine! Don't I look fine? Mind your own business, Pipith.

Perhaps Reka was more on alert than his lazy demeanor seemed. < Ohp! > he said as if it were a mild inconvenience that a wingmate returned from Between with a blaze of fire in their direction. Of course, he was a magnificent blue with beautiful and large wings, and executing a few extra rolls and turns to avoid both fire and Thread seemed like another Tuesday to he who practiced said maneuvers. Granted it was for the spectacle of the chase rather than fighting the enemy, but it worked.
Pency yelling made it less spectacular, but he couldn’t blame His.

A sharp wind threw her out of formation, but the little green darted back into place.

Reka really was unflappable. Even in the face of Threadscore, Between accidents, and unintended flaming, he continued to looked supremely pleased with himself and his rider as they rode out the harsh winds.

On they flew, alert and wary, and it was a good thing they were. A wingmate burst from Between and they had a split second to react, instinct taking over rather than teaching. Ar'ad hugged Turoth tightly as the huge bronze dove down quickly, avoiding the flame.

Picking off the small clumps and single strands was tough work, but for a bronze of his size Turoth was doing very well. They weaved and dove and rose together, two minds as one, seeing their targets and flaming them quickly.

A jump Between turned out to be disastrous as their reappearance spot ended up covered in Thread by the time they reached it. Turoth bellowed in pain before jumping back Between to rid himself and his rider of Thread.

They pushed on together, knowing that the fight was almost over and to bear through the pain to help their wingmates. Ash from a recently flamed Thread clump blew in their faces, but the pair barely flinched as they carried on.
