"Well, there's all those spots underneath your clothes where the sun doesn't reach. That's perfectly fair game." Daemon pointed out with a shrug.

Larai giggled softly, grinning all the wider. "True, very true."
{Mai block hurts.}

"At least we won't have anyone around trying to kill us this time." Daemon said, slowly traveling up the side of her leg and resting in the shadows around her torso in a dark embrace she couldn't feel.

"Hopefully it'll stay that way." Larai commented, although she highly doubted this would be the case. At the pace she was going, it was surprising that she was able to approach the dock town so quickly. One might lampshade this as the author's not caring much at the moment about 100% realism in regards to travel.

"I'm sorry I didn't think of all this sooner. I might have actually been able to help you before I wound up in this state." Daemon apologized once again.

"Neither of us knew for certain that this would happen, so don't go blaming yourself. We just need to work together however possible and find a solution for this problem." Larai replied easilly, not letting Daemon take the blame for this when she believed that there was nobody really to blame.

"Well, I'll try, but there's really not a whole lot I can do from here. Shadow powers, sure, but other than that I'm afraid you're on your own." Daemon said.

"I'm not as smart as I used to be. I'm pretty sure you'll have some valuable insight for me when I need it most." Larai said, still keeping a smile on her face as she continued onward.

"Now that is a lie. You're the master thief that came up with the plan to steal the Sylvarian crown after all." Daemon said.

"I know. I just said it to be nice." Larai replied in a teasing tone and an impish grin. "But seriously, you know Milly's place better than I do. I'm sure you'll know something I might not."

"Honestly, I know the dungeon areas best and am only a little familiar with the rest of the mansion. There's also no telling what else she did to the place in her bout of depression after I left..."

"Well, we'll have to see what she did, then." Larai said with a shrug, oblivious as to how badly entering a haunted house usually ends. Of course, it might just be a creepy place with a corpse in there somewhere. Still, not a pleasant thought.

((Mansion where a quite-possibly jealous and/or vengeful witch probably committed suicide (she had to die somehow, and the devil seemed to imply as such)? Yeah, that's probably going to be haunted...))
"Hopefully she just warped space again and didn't turn it into a hell hole..." Daemon muttered.

{Pretty much. XD Although I do have to admit, I feel terrible for Milly. Her life sucked and just didn't get any better. Then again, she did handle certain situations poorly during her days of insanity.}
"Well, we'll have to go in and see now won't we?" Larai soon spotted the mansion and before they knew it, she slipped on inside.

((I love the pic/caption on that page. XD ))
"Just as homey as ever...." Daemon said, slipping back down into Larai's shadow before stretching his silhouette onto the wall.
