"Maybe a walk would do me some good" Damien said, getting up. He pulled his uniform jacket on and buttoned it up. Perhaps a change of scenery was needed.

Lianne nodded and waited patiently until he was ready. When she was, she walked with another guard down the hall and opened the door to her room. "Uh... do watch out for the books." She coughed before opening the door. The room was large and filled with shelves and piles of books. On the white desk was an antique quill pen, along with writings, notes, and letters. Also, there was a odd set of thick glasses on a stack of papers, and another pair on a small table near a red recliner. There was a lavish and old gold bed with white drapes and fluffy sheets where Shadow was laid. Three guards stood by in the room, and a doctor stood by the bed, examining Shadow. "How is she, doctor?" Lianne asked.
"Recovering. Her life is in no immediate danger." The doctor replied.
"That's good." Lianne replied.

Damien nodded and followed Lianne into the room. He looked at Shadow on the bed. He wondered how she was doing. He looked around at all the books. It was quite an interesting looking place.

Lianne reached out, lightly touching her face, then her cheek. "She feels a little cold."
"Yes, but I want to make sure the salve dries before I wrap the wound with bandages." The doctor replied.
"I understand, but do what you can." Lianne replied. The doctor gave a small nod covered Shadow's legs with a blanket. Lianne moved passed Damien and walked to the window, moving the curtain back slightly and looking out at the pounding rain as it continued to fall from the storm.

Damien was still wondering who those assassins were, where they were trained, who sent them, and why they were here. "I'm still wondering how those assassins knew I was here, or if they decided to make me a target after finding out I arrived" the Absolute Leader said.

"Likely the second." One of the guards replied, sounding like he was trying hard to be civil.
Lianne was silent, her head slightly lowering as she recalled what happened. Slowly she gripped the curtain, trying to suppress the memory.

Damien sighed. He looked over at Shadow. It was strange seeing her sleeping and not being locked up somewhere to prevent her from escaping. He figured she would recover with that special blood of hers, it would just take time. Hopefully those assassins wouldn't try to go after her. He still needed her, but now was not the time to think of kidnapping her.

((Is it bad that your post is making me think of sleeping beauty? lolz.))
Shadow let out a small groan, trying to roll over, but the doctor held down her shoulder to prevent her from moving.
"She's not relaxing?" The doctor muttered confused.
"She might be immune to the drugs." Lianne replied.
"In that case we can't keep her in one position. I will need my other bag." The doctor sighed, letting Shadow go.
Feeling a twinge of pain, Shadow stopped moving to that side and instead rolled to the other side with her wound up. She shivered from cold chills as she subconsciously gripped for warmth, only to find no blanket nearby.
"I'll be right back, my lady." The doctor said with a bow to Lianne before leaving the room.

Shadow subconsciously reached her hand out, grabbing the sleeve of Damien's jacket. She seemed to be mumbling something in her sleep as she tried to lightly pull him closer for his jacket's warmth.

"What do you think you're do-" Damien snapped, then saw Shadow was still sleeping. She must have been having some sort of subconscious reaction. He tried to remove her hand by slowly prying her fingers away, trying not to disturb her rest. He looked at Lianne. "Don't you guys have a blanket or a sheet or something?" he asked.

"There is one by her legs, but try not to get it near her wounds. The salve is similar to an adhesive and we don't want a blanket glued to her wound." Lianne replied.
''Shut... up... stupid... Da..." Shadow muttered, grabbing the arm of his sleeve and trying to pull it towards her.
The guards moved to help Damien, but seeing this new development, they took a step back and trying not to laugh.

Damien rolled his eyes, then suddenly smirked. "I don't this is the proper time for that, sweetie. There are people watching" he said to her, trying to take the snickers off of him. He pulled the blanket over half of Shadow's body. The side that didn't have the deep wound in it.

Damien made a funny look at Shadow. He then turned to Lianne. "Must be some interesting dream she's having" he commented.

The guards covered their mouths, trying their hardest not to laugh at Damien's expression.
"It doesn't seem... that exceptionally odd." Lianne replied.
Shadow tugged on Damien's sleeve again. "No, David... Don't go to the gingerbread house... There's an evil old wizard there... I don't care if you... you... wanna be ruler of the lollipops... he will drown you in chocolate... and eat you..."
