Damien pulled his hand away and said calmly "Well then. I'll let her get her beauty sleep". He then walked over to Shadow. "The Grand Priestess made sure you got medical attention. I couldn't sleep last night, so she brought me along to see how you were doing. In your sleep you grabbed me by the sleeve, probably wanting warmth. You were muttering something about 'David'" the Absolute Leader said with a sly grin. "You were uncovered as the doctors didn't want the wound getting infected by material. You wouldn't let go of my sleeve, so I just left my jacket with you" he added. Damien then thought of something and turned to the guards. "What happened to the doctor that was tending to her?" he asked.

"Likely sleeping. Someone should be by in about an hour." The guard replied.
Shadow opened her mouth to say something, then closed her mouth, then opened it again, letting out a grunt. "Stop smirking at me like that." She snapped, still a deep red before slowly burying herself under the blankets.

Damien chuckled, then walked over to Jian. "Well, I got what I came for. We can leave, unless you have something you want to do here" he said to the Chief General.

"I'm fine with that." Jian replied. "I wonder how long this storm will keep up."
"Probably for two or three more days." The soldier replied.
Shadow looked away, folding her arms while still a dark red.

"Oh dear. Well, I guess we'll have to make do with what we can" Damien said. "Goodbye, Shadow" he said, then began heading out.

Damien gave a small wave to Shadow without turning around. For a couple seconds that wave became a middle finger before the Absolute Leader headed back to the temporary rooms.

Jian blinked, never seeing Damien act like that in years. "Having fun flirting?" Jian jested, part of him silently happy to see some of his friend's old habits.

"Yes, but she's much nicer when she's asleep" Damien replied with a smirk. Eventually he got back to the temporary rooms. "Okay, so what do we do now? Just sit here and wait?" he asked Jian.

Jian moved a piece on the chess bored. He was beginning to get tired of playing this game so much, and he wondered if Damien ever got tired of beating him.

Damien placed his fingers on a piece. He started to move it, then put it back. "You know what? I'm getting tired of this. We've been at this for a couple hours already. I wish I had a book or something, or maybe I should just take a nap" he said.
