"I know the feeling." Mala chuckled, closing her eyes as she thought. "We should probably come up with names for both genders, just to be prepared."

"I wanna say we still have six months, but I just know that's gonna blow by before we know it." Van said.

"Boy don't we know that's true. It almost feels like it was just yesterday that we managed to stabelize the pantheum!" Mala replied, remembering how less than greatful the gods seemed to be in all for their efforts.

"Hell, it almost feels like just yesterday that we properly met. You know, after I got my body back and we were on good terms." Van said with a chuckle.

"So true. It's hard to believe that it was over five hundred years ago, isn't it?" Mala said, opening her eyes slightly to gaze at Van once more.

((I like the credits. 'In Loving Memory of the Suicidal Marshmallow.' I think the player's growing realization of just where that marshmallow is headed makes it all the better. XD ))

"I wonder how Angel's doing, and if she turned Riley into a vamp or not..." Van said, his previous smile shrinking. The vampire was no doubt still around, and her half-vampire daughter probably was too, but Riley....

{Doesn't it? The two marshmallows didn't even seem to have any faith for the poor guy, not that I blaim them. XD}

"Oh, don't worry! She must've! If she didn't, though, I'll be sure to kill her next time I see her." Mala said, not letting her smile waver in the least. She didn't want to even think about the possibility of Riley being dead, either.

"We'll have to make sure to stock up on wooden stakes and garlic before then." Van said with a laugh.

"Perhaps. But let's not worry about that now." Mala said, really not wanting the thought of Riley possibly being dead to stick in her head for long - lest it ruin her mood completely.

"Right, right...It's getting late and we've got a new bed to break in." Van said with a grin.

"You know what? I think your right." Mala said, grinning back at him now.

The next morning, Mala was sleeping soundly - not showing any signs of waking up any time soon. To be fair, the previous day was emotionally and physically straining. Rest would do her a great bit of good.

Milly was already up and ready, having dressed in a sensible outfit for traveling and proper supplies packed in a backpack in her room. She planned on going on a journey to learn a trade in a couple towns over, so she'd at least have something to do while her father acted like himself. Well, that is, if she could somehow convince him to let her go and all.

Van rolled over in his sleep and snuggled up close to Mala, the previous day's events making him a tad paranoid she'd try to leave him, at least in his dreams.

Mala smiled slightly, comforted by the added warmth as she slept.

Milly took a deep breath and knocked on Jaquel's chamber door. "Excuse me, but are you awake yet? I have something I need to ask."
