Asterisk wasn't sure how long her lucky streak was going to go. Lucky first shot she guessed. When Iñigo tried again to hit the target, he had missed again but this time he was hit by the bludger. "You alright?" Asterisk asked him, although it looked like it hurt a lot. She saw another bludger coming her way as she readied her bat again for another shot. She wasn't sure about this one though.
And she was right. She missed this time around, although she was glad she didn't get wounded like her first year competitor. She was okay with a miss. Definitely okay with a miss this time around.

Not very pretty, but we sure know how to run things

And you know, we're on each other's team. Bristian frowned when she missed, but she wasn't the only one. The first year girl hit the target her first try, but missed her second and the first year boy missed both, but hit himself during the second one. She could potentially beat them, but the first year still had one more hit than her. Maybe she felt a little competitiveness stir in her, maybe she didn't. But there was no way she'd let them beat her. Bristian waited for another bludger to come near her and swung at it, aiming for the target. Position: Beater. Asterisk still wasn't sure about all this competitive atmosphere. She wasn't one to really "care" for winning a competition, and maybe that was her downfall. She didn't care enough to win this spot, she would be happy to just be the one sitting on the bench, watching her house play. She was getting a bit scared about this bludger now. She hit a bludger coming her way and misses - again. She started to laugh, trying to take off the tension in the competition. "Sorry..."

To say she was surprised was an understatement. Bris hadn't really known that a ball could hurt so bad. She ground her teeth when she spotted another bludger, this time, she'd at least hit it away. She tried again. Three tries, two misses, and one hit so far. Her score was better than the others, although Asterisk presumed it was just luck. She tried again, trying to focus more on herself than the others. She really didn't want to get hit by one of the bludgers. She didn't know how she would react. The other two seemed fine but knowing herself, the hit would probably do more than bruise or a more dramatic reaction.
Another bludger came her way. She readied her bat, glaring at the thing before hitting it. The sound of friction gave Asterisk some confidence. The bludger hit the target, perfectly. She wasn't sure how this was happening. She smiled anyways.

When Asterisk had asked him whether or not he was alright or not, he kind of shook his head. "No, but I'll be fine for now," he said to her, happy that she would ask the question, but not really the happiest kid right now.
He swung the bat at an oncoming bludger, wincing as he turned to put force on his hit. As he swung, he hit it with the sweet spot of the bat, and he did indeed hit the target. He smiled, almost forgetting about the pain for a brief second, only to brought back when he tried to pump his fist when he was found proud of himself. “There is no death. He was happy that he actually hit a target, but he couldn't get too confident now. He had to keep a level head so he can do it again. Maybe he could get two hits consecutively. He found a bludger coming at him, and hit it towards the target.
He smashed it and hit the target yet again. Smiling, he actually began to forget about the pain, for it started to subside as well. He awaited instruction and when he had heard chaser training, he instantly smiled. Finally he would get to use his silky smooth flying ability and use it for good. He had to make sure he did well here as well, just like he had done with beater.
He took the potion, feeling a rejuvenating strength flare up within him upon the swallow. He felt a lot better and was quite surprised by it. It caught him off guard, but nothing came of the surprise. He flew around a bit to get used to the broom, then awaited the quaffle to be thrown up. When it was, he was battling Bristain for beginning possession. “There is no death.
