Sitting in silence was not something he enjoyed. He was used to it with Abel but with Miguel it felt awkward. Kieran was running through a few things in his head to talk about. He picked the easiest one for the moment. ”When's your next day that you're available?” Kieran asked curiously glancing toward Miguel. He wanted to take him on an actual date, possibly dinner if Miguel was open to it.

Normally he wasn't so bothered by sitting in silence. Back home, he was perfectly fine not talking with any of the other men. But with Kieran it felt like he was being judged and awaiting some kind of punishment. He sat quietly in his seat, staring out the windshield as the man drove. After a few minutes had passed he heard Kieran speak beside him. Jakob shrugged his shoulders in response. "Probably sometime after I manage to kill Abel." he replied honestly. When he last spoke with Cornelius, he had wanted him to make killing Abel his top priority. Though that didn't mean he wouldn't send him off to kill anyone else in the meantime.

Kieran wasn't mad at Miguel far from it. He was still getting used to the idea of Miguel wanting to be with him. It was not something he understood. Kieran wanted to ask about it but worried it would only cause more problems. Questioning Miguel about a possible date, he listened as he spoke. Kieran rolled his eyes slightly. ”Even for a date?” He asked curiously not sure if Miguel was serious even though he knew he was. Keiran continued driving as he waited for an answer.

Out of all the emotions that might be running through Kieran, he didn't think he was angry. Then again, he was mostly going by the way he had seen him during their last argument as well as last night. He knew then that Kieran had definitely been pissed off. Now, it was just uncomfortable and he still did not know why. As the male went on to question him, he gave him the only answer he could. He saw Kieran roll his eyes before questioning him again. Jakob couldn't help smiling a bit. "Well it's not like I work at McDonald's or Walmart. Cornelius isn't just printing out a schedule and posting it in the living room." he replied sarcastically. The idea of going out though did sound nice. He wouldn't mind going somewhere with him that didn't include room service and nosy bellhops. Knowing now that he didn't have to be glued to Abel's side all the time was also nice. He'd hate for them to be in the middle of dinner or coffee only to be interrupted by his crazed boss.

Keiran understood that Miguel had a job to do. That didn't mean, he couldn't take the night off. After all Miguel had done fine last night without being on the job. Kieran didn't need a hotel room being the only time they got together. He couldn't help rolling his eyes, as he listened to Miguel speak. Kieran listened as Miguel spoke again. ”So going on an actual date is a no go?” He asked teasing Miguel. Kieran wanted to take Miguel out instead of seeing him as some random booty call every once in a while.

It was true every now and then he did get some personal time. But it was also true that sometimes he did it while he was on a job. Last night being a perfect example of him doing just that. As far as Cornelius was concerned, Jakob was still staking out Abel's house just as he told him he would. And as soon as he got back, he was going to have to give a semi-fake report on what he learned during said stake out. When he spoke, he saw Kieran rolling his eyes again. He smirked as the male teased him. "Oh please, I never said that." he teased back. "I just need to need to find out Cornelius wants me this week. After that I'll let you know. Then maybe we can do something this weekend or the next. That work for you?" Jakob was happy that Kieran was trying. But right now it was hard to say for sure when he would next be available. He didn't want to tell him one thing now only to have to cancel later.

Kieran could understand Miguel not having time. After all he had to work around his own schedule as well. He knew Abel could take care of himself, however he still had to drive him places, and act as a figurehead for protection. Kieran didn’t always have time too, that’s why he was trying to plan some time with Miguel. He had to wonder too, how Miguel’s boss would take his outing with him. Kieran figured however he would tell him some lie. He didn’t question it after all it would do him no good.

Teasing Miguel, he listened as he teased him back. Kieran continued driving while Miguel spoke about having to wait and see, but there was still no guarantee. He could understand after all he didn’t want to have to make a concrete plan and have to change it. ”Fine, works for me. Let me know what your plans are then.” Kieran spoke knowing he was going to have to wait and see. He wasn’t going to push it, after all what good would it do him.

Before Kieran had even confessed to him, he had wondered how dating him might work. Technically speaking, they were both underlings waiting for their bosses' next command. For Jakob, it would be a matter of who was next on the hit list. For Kieran, he liked to imagine some abandoned warehouse where Abel could more or less do whatever he pleased to his next victim. Though realistically it was probably just back to that same old club they both went to. When he got home, Jakob would most definitely be lying to Cornelius. He didn't need the man knowing how he had his a** handed to him after successfully infiltrating his home. And worse, instead of killing him, he ran off with the "bodyguard" for an evening of awkwardness and a morning of passion.

Jakob couldn't help wanting to tease him back. He liked it now that Kieran wasn't being so brooding. They drove a bit further in some silence before he gave his answer. It was hard trying to make plans. They didn't have normal jobs so they couldn't plan so easily as others. Who knew when one of their bosses might call them in for something. Jakob nodded as Kieran spoke, happy to hear he accepted his answer. With nothing more to say, he fell back into silence.

Confessing to Miguel had not been his plan. If anything he wished they were not in such a situation, but they had to play the hand they were dealt. Kieran didn’t blame Miguel for not being able to make time for him. He wasn’t going to act childish about everything even though he wanted to. After all it was he who lead Miguel on. Kieran would be to blame if things went wrong between Abel and himself. He had gone looking for Miguel in the club, took him to the private room and ******** him on the couch.

Kieran had even chosen to save Miguel in the basement from Abel. He didn’t have to but he had. Kieran knew it seemed an odd desire, basically wanting to date Miguel, even if it was secretly. There were things he liked about Miguel and things he disliked. Kieran though didn’t want their relationship just to be about sex, no matter how good it was. He felt them settle back into silence, after all he didn’t know what to talk about. Kieran wanted to at least have some sort of conversation with Miguel, but nothing came to mind.

To be fair, in the last twenty-four hours nothing had gone according to his plan either. In hindsight, he should have stayed put and spied a lot longer. Sure it would have meant that everything that had transpired with Kieran would not have happened. But he also would not be going home with new bruises and a cut. He didn't like thinking about recounting to Cornelius just how he got those marks. Then again, he also didn't like the idea of going home without something from Kieran. He didn't care that he lead him on. He was old enough to make his own decisions. He could have had Kieran take him just as he originally intended. In his own way, he also seduced Kieran.

As Kieran drove on, they settled back into silence. Jakob wasn't too bothered by it. But he could see that Kieran was. He sat there a few minutes thinking of something else to talk about. "So...," he said awkwardly. "If this date thing does work out. What do you wanna do? Dinner? Movie? Another hotel?" It wasn't his best idea, but it was a start point. He wanted to know what sort of things Kieran did on dates, assuming he ever dated. He wanted to also ask about his dating history and about the cause for what happened in the shower. Kieran was being so shy though, he wasn't sure he would answer any of those things.

Silence never bothered him. He was used to it. The only reason it bothered him now was because he was bothered by Miguel's silence. Kieran didn't know what he was thinking. He never cared too much what Abel was thinking after all it was never important. With Miguel, he hated to not know what he was thinking. Kieran worried about the little things. He didn't know if what Miguel was thinking was important but he still wanted to know.

Kieran wasn't shy, he merely didn't find himself all that important. He wasn't used to talking about himself. Keiran soon heard Miguel speak. He smirked lightly at his words. ” Dinner, no movies. Maybe hotel though we'll see. “ Kieran wanted to treat Miguel as he was now, his lover. He didn't want him as some toy. Kieran wanted to do normal dating things but only if Miguel was willing.

Of course the man wasn't shy. After all those kinky things they just did, how could he be? So if shyness wasn't the problem why was he acting so weird? He wanted to know. He was still learning to read Kieran on a normal level. Trying to figure him out while he was being moody was damn near impossible. Still, he was glad that the man wasn't completely ignoring him. Even if it was small talk, it was something. He didn't feel like such a screw-up.

As he spoke, he turned again to look up at the male. He saw his lips twitch as he smirked and listened to him speak. Jakob smirked as well. "How about just the dinner then? No sense in wasting money on another room. Even if it is on Abel's dime." he replied. Jakob didn't mind the idea of going out on a normal date. He was actually looking forward to getting to know him better. Especially now that he knew he wasn't some disposable ******** toy. He was more than willing to give him a chance and see where things might go from here.

Being shy and kinky were too different things. Kieran wanted to get to know Miguel as well but knew the relationship would be give and take. He had to offer up some vulnerability if he wanted some in return. Kieran knew his emotions were all over the place. He felt like he needed to explain himself but didn't know how. Keiran also didn't want to either.

Kieran nodded as Miguel spoke. He was fine with dinner then seeing where they went from there. There was no need to rush things. ”Any place in particular you'd like to go?” He asked curiously knowing they had talked a little about food but not too much.

Indeed, the way he saw it, he had been plenty vulnerable with Kieran these last several hours. Hell, the man even saw him cry. So far all he'd gotten from Kieran was amusement, teasing, concern, and anger. Hopefully that wasn't the full spectrum of his emotional range. Then again, it wouldn't be terribly surprising if it was. Jakob had worked with more than enough men lacking in emotions. He didn't believe that to be the entire case with Kieran. More he just didn't want or know how to open up to someone that was not named Abel.

For the most part, Jakob was doing his best to keep the conversation light. If that helped in anyway to get Kieran to open up to him, then great. But he wasn't going to force him to talk about something he didn't want to. With his luck, it only backfire and make him clam up even more. As he spoke, he watched Kieran nod his head in agreement. Hearing his next question he had to think for a moment. He really didn't feel like going to one of the usual chains in town nor did he really want to revisit the place where Abel decided to "share" his fingers. "Hmm...I know a place that makes good tacos if you wanna keep it simple." he replied. Jakob remembered their conversation about food. And for the most part they seemed to have a few things in common food wise. But he'd understand if Kieran really wanted to go all out and find somewhere nice and romantic.

Kieran had a wide range of emotions. Some he hid for the better. He didn't like being completely vulnerable. Keiran wasn't about to break down and tell Miguel everything he wanted to know. He would only tell him what he needed to know. Kieran wasn't emotionless, but it would take time for him to open up to Miguel.

The small talk was helping to get back on better ground. Kieran was glad that Miguel wasn't pushing the issue of closing off from him earlier. He didn't care where they went to eat. For all he cared that could go to some fast food joint. Kieran nodded as Miguel suggested some taco joint. ” Tacos are fine. We don't have to go anywhere fancy.” He spoke not bothered by the idea. Kieran preferred simple to extravagant.
