Hm. If you want my say, I say the judge should be a randomly decided person, instead of one chosen by a single person. That suggests foul play. And that is a sign of a bad character. Now, if multiple judges were nomiated, and completely different people decided who the judge would be, the case would be much more fair. Or fairer. It's like octopii and octopuses. No one really knows the correct comparative/plural form.
