Jian bit his bottom lip. "Excuse me, could you get us all some tea." He asked the guard before lightly nodding towards the priestess.

"Sure." The guard replied before turning to leave to get them some tea.

With the guard gone, Jian looked at Damien and wafted his arms as if giving him an opportunity.

Signing the document in hand, and setting it to the side, she heard Damien. She slowly turned to him. She seemed to look up at him, though she couldn't see him because of the veil. She lowered her head, looking at his feet, the only part of him that she could see through the veil, not understanding what he was doing.

"T-thank you..." She muttered with slight surprise. She never expected him to say something like that. Slowly, she lowered her head as she looked away and more silent tears fell onto her white dress. "So many people have died... so many I knew... even one of my best friends... and many who had protected me." She muttered weakly. "And others who were in my care..." She said, sounding as if she blamed herself, though she did just sit though the bishop repeatedly blaming her for it.

Lianne was silent for a moment before giving a small nod. She was already passed the breaking point, and only miraculously holding herself together.

Jian gave a slight nod and went to keep watch for Damien.

Lianne said nothing, as he hugged her, and she tried not to cry, though she sniffled a little under her veil. She never imagined to be comforted by her enemy, but she began to feel better.

((Damien's a pimp. You know, I was almost envisioning that Damien just gets tired of the council and feels so bad for her that he either kidnaps the priestess or pays Shadow to kidnap her.))

"Y-yes... I think so..." She muttered.

Jian spotted a soldier coming along and gave a signal to Damien.

((lolz. I think you do. Me thinks I need to feed you more crazy ideas. >:3 ))

She gave a slight nod and sat back down before turning back to her work.

Jian quickly turned and pretended as if he was searching for another book when the guard came in.

"My lady, it's time for your meeting." He began.

"Already?" She asked politely, not recognizing his voice. "Forgive me, but what's your name, and what time is it?"

"I-I'm a new recruit. Forgive me. It's seven." he replied.

Jian looked at his watch. "Really?" He said from behind the soldier. "Then my watch must be off by two hours. But it's strange. I thought we had the same time zone."

At that, the guard pulled out a gun and Jian subconsciously lifted his arm to defend himself, knocking back the assassin's hand as the gun fell the floor. The assassin dressed as a guard froze for a second before turning and bolting into the library. Jian swore under his breath before going after him with great speed.

"W-what happened?" She asked, quickly standing up with alarm.

((Yeah. It's working again! ^_^ ))

"But..." She tried to object, but he was already gone. She lifted her veil and was silent for a moment before swallowing hard. 'They're all going to get lost...' she thought, swallowing hard before reaching behind the librarian's desk and trying to call her guard, but the line was disconnected. Lianne slowly put the phone down before swallowing hard and lightly touching her chest. She looked in the direction they went, then back towards the front of the library. She could have sworn there was a group of guards at the front. She slowly tracked back to the front, looking to see that her guards had been knocked out. Afraid they might have been killed with poison, she quickly bent down, touching their necks to find they were still breathing, though still conscious. 'They're alive... What a relief... but...' she thought.

"Grand priestess, I presume?" A voice asked. Startled, Lianne jumped up and turned to see three of the archbishops including Gilles standing there with several hired hands. "My my, you are as lovely as the rumors. I was going to say that you have to die, though I suppose disappearing works just as well." He smirked wickedly.

Lianne took a step back before bursting into a run into the library.

"I wasn't finished!" He yelled. "A-After her!" He yelled, "Secure the doors and don't let her escape. She may know this labyrinth better then anyone else, but she has to eat sometime." He yelled. One of them grabbed Lianne's long veil, but it slipped off her hair as she broke free and continued to flee.

Lianne rushed through the labyrinth of books, pushing her way through the corridors in confusing patterns quickly to throw off her pursuers. She breathed heavily in a panic, feeling completely defenseless.

Jian finally caught up to the guy, grabbing him and forcing him onto the ground. "I- I got him!" He called.
