"It's fine, I'm not the one doing all the work after all." Daemon said.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"I'll search three more doors. If none of them give us anything useful, I'll take a break then." Larai replied, going on to do exactly that. In the very last one, of course, she discovered Milly napping in a very old bed. Larai was silent, unsure of what to do or say now.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

Daemon fell silent. He didn't know what to do either. His small pooled shadow slowly slunk into the room and silently moved about watching her sleep, wondering if he should wake her or not.

 

[M3Gnificent]

Larai looked over to Daemon's shadow, unsure of whether or not she should leave them be.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"We should leave her be for now....I doubt things would go any better if we woke her up like this..." Daemon whispered as he returned to Larai.

 

[M3Gnificent]

Larai nodded and left the room without another word. She then asked hesitantly once they left, "Daemon? Should we come back later? Or shall we continue our search?"

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Once we've run out of places to search, we can come back. If she's still asleep, we can try again later..." Daemon said. In truth, he really was putting it off.It might just be rubbing salt in the wounds if he kept pestering her.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Alright. Hey, Daemon? Can I take a little break, now?" Larai asked, wanting to calm down a little from that short scare before she continued.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Of course; the shadow's open if you'd like." Daemon said, opening his world to her once more.

 

[M3Gnificent]

Larai gladly entered the shadows, offering Daemon a hug once more once she could.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"How are you holding up?" Daemon asked as he held her close.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"I am doing fine, if a little tired." Larai replied, smiling once more. "Thank you for being here with me."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I'm just sorry you have to do all the work. I may not be of much help like this, but at least I can still bring you comfort." Daemon said with a soft smile.

 

[M3Gnificent]

""It's fine, okay? I'm sure there will be a point in time in which I won't be much help for anything, so you can help me out then in return for my help now." Larai pointed out, probably getting a little too genre-savvy for her own good.

"You're too good to me, you know that?" Daemon said with a little half smile.
