"I know....I know...." Daemon said, his shadow shrinking in shame. "But really, what can I say that will be any different from last time? Nothing's really changed."

((Going to disappear for a bit while I deliver a paper. Bbl.))

"Tell her that you are willing to make things right so long as it doesn't infringe upon the happiness of either party." Larai replied with a small shrug. "You'll think of something more, just trust me."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

((Milly must be a heavy sleeper. XD ))

Daemon slowly crept a little closer to Milly's bed, creeping up the wall before suddenly zipping back to gather at Larai's feet, a small puddle of shadow that wavered in shame. "Argh, I can't do it! I just can't! This is just rubbing more salt in everyone's wounds!"

{Indeed she is. She'd have to be to get any sleep during her younger years. XDD}

"Daemon! You and I both know you both want to reconcile. She's just too stubborn or afraid to do it." Larai quietly snapped back at Daemon, her hands now on her hips. "That last note she left you was probably just her goading you to seek her out. I refuse to believe that she doesn't want this after all that we've seen. Her last words to you beneath all those bulky letters of cruelty would not have been 'I love you daddy, please don't forget me' if she didn't want this."

((There is truth in that statement. XDD ))

"What do you expect me to do anyway? I can't wake her up, not by shouting in her ear at any rate. And in case you've forgotten, physical contact isn't entirely possible for me at the moment."

 

[M3Gnificent]

Larai frowned slightly. "You can try. Although I guess if you are this determined to leave things unresolved, I can't stop you."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

Daemon sighed and remained silent in thought for a while. "Just....wake her up for me, would you?...."

 

[M3Gnificent]

Larai smiled proudly at Daemon before going on to do as asked. Of course, Milly had already sat herself up, having been awake for the past few minutes. Milly glared at the two, waiting for an explanation as to why they were anywhere near her.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Milly....." Daemon, just a small spot of shadow now, moved to the wall next to Milly's bed. "I don't want to leave things as they are....There has to be something I can do to make things up to you, something other than giving up Larai...."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"I never said you had to give her up. I just said you had to give up something or someone of high value." Milky pointed out with a sullen look about her. "I would've accepted anything of obvious value." Whether this was truth or not, however, is unknown. "Besides, I don't think you even know where you want us to stand - so long as it's not here. You'd much rather forget me than anything to be with her, wouldn't you?"

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I don't have anything else of value. All I have is Larai." Daemon said, his silhouette taking shape once more like a father sitting at his daughter's bedside, hands wrung and head hung. "But it's true though...I don't think even I know what I want anymore, I just don't want things to stay like this; I don't you to hate me."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"You never answered my last question. Would you rather I hate you or not know you even existed? Would you rather I died, to cut all loose ends? Or do you earnestly want to make up for what you've done to me?"

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I want to make it up to you, I really do." Daemon said clenching his hands. "I just don't know how to do it that will make us both happy."

 

[M3Gnificent]

Milly thought for a moment on how this could be accomplished. Before long, a plot formulated in her head. "I will drink a potion that will change me, let me forget all that has happened. However, I want you to leave me to die or kill me once it has taken it's effect." This, of course, had the possibility of being another cruel test. But still, one could not be too sure.

"What?! I hardly think that's a very good solution! Surely there must be some other way that doesn't involve your death!"
